After receiving my computer back from another Mac repair shop in town and being told that I needed a new logic board or a new computer. Logic board $1500 and used machine along with all of the headaches of losing my data $1200, I decided to get another opinion. Kyle at affordable computer solutions was like a bulldog on a hambone in trying to fix my Mac and get it back to me. He found that the first place had incorrectly installed my charging port and 2 of the 6 pins were bent and preventing my machine from charging. He was able to get them repaired and installed a new charging port for $225. I was so happy and amazed at his unwillingness to give up. I do want to say that first company did refund me for the failed repair. So I am not unhappy with them since they stood by their mistake.

I looked through a box of chargers and found the exact one I needed. I was stoked. When Shawn went to ring it up, it was $65. Are you kidding me? This charger goes for $32 brand new on the Lenovo website! I asked if he could do anything about the price and he said he'd have to talk to his manager. He went behind a wall, to talk with some woman who's head I could see the top of through a window, and they talked a bit. He came back, essentially said that it was a lot more expensive than he expected too but the owner is firm on pricing. I thanked him for his help and left. I have no problem with Shawn, he was just doing his job. But the lady behind the wall and the owner? Are you serious? How do you justify selling a used laptop charger for twice the price of it brand new? Why did you not come talk to my face instead of making Shawn, who already has a queue of phone screens to fix, run around your store? The worst part is, people have to pay these prices because it is a small town and there's nowhere else to go. Here I am trying to support local businesses and being forced to buy from the colossal corporate dome that is Bezos' shaved head. Absolutely ridiculous.

I get back to my shop and the cord does not fit my phone. I go to return it and he refused to take it back because it was open. He then kicked me out of the store and threatened to call the police because I argued with him. Horrible!
