That future porch wasn't just a verbal discussion--it was specifically included in my contract and was a major reason I chose this company. Unfortunately, the workmanship has been disappointing from the beginning. The deck boards are uneven and improperly installed, allowing water to pool and collect against the house. There are noticeable gaps in trim and wrapping, the stairs have settled and developed a dip that has caused the railing to bow, and even the stair lights have begun pulling out because of the movement. Whenever I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told everything looked fine or that I needed to wait over a year for the deck to "settle." When the problems continued, the responsibility shifted to me instead of the workmanship. The most disappointing discovery came later. I recently learned that the deck did not pass the county requirements for supporting the future four-season porch that was included in my contract. I now have to spend thousands of additional dollars correcting work that should have been completed properly from the start. What frustrates me most isn't that problems occurred--construction projects can have issues. It's the unwillingness to accept responsibility and the repeated attempts to explain away legitimate concerns rather than deliver the quality and contractual obligations I paid for. For such a significant investment, I expected quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a company that would stand behind its work. Instead, I was left with ongoing workmanship issues, additional unexpected expenses, and a deck that has fallen well short of what was promised. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dupont Decks.

We have a pretty large residential roof almost 40sq multiple roofs and overhangs, John and his crew were awesome! They even went the extra mile to make some repairs in the roof decking that were unseen prior to tear off. They completed the project in 6 days. John dealt with our insurance adjuster for us to get the necessary approvals personally without any issues. The cleanup after completion was awesome. I would truly recommend John and his company.

Contractor failed to provide a start date and when asked he did not know if it would be this fall or next spring. When asked about his insurance, contractor responded he had a million worth of coverage. When asked to provide a copy of insurance certificate for liability and work comp, contractor responded "we do not do business that way'. We advised we would provide insurance check when we received a start date. Contractor became somewhat belligerent and responded "we don't do business that way". Be sure sure to read back of contract BEFORE signing. We would not recommend this contractor.

I was not home at the time, they waited for me to get there. As soon as I got there they got right to work fixing the noticeable issues with the door, rails, springs and cables. When I told the owner Travis, the jamb I was in, he went out of his way to bring his crew to my place ASAP and they did a 14 hour day to get them all planted. They were literally working by spot lights in the dark to get done. Travis kept me informed throughout the day and made sure I was good with spacing and backfilling and mulching along the way.
