I have been using North Star Fiber for over a year and I couldn't be happier. Great price, great speeds, and no contract.

After being with Nextera since 2005, I cancelled my account for a better program. They promptly…read moresent me a bill for early termination for over $2000. Not only was this never disclosed, they refused to share with me any documentation that says I consented to such a fee. When I finally go the agreement from them, it had no mention of a termination fee. So even after I showed them the last payment that specifically stated full and final payment, accepted by cashing, they still turned me over to collection. I guess I should have known better, the service worked okay but whenever I had a service question or issue, the owner's son Jamie would never return calls and did not seem to have any idea of the workings of his father's company. A couple of years ago, they assigned me to Todd Anderson. Todd was no better, he never returned phone calls and never kept any promises that he made. Absolutely the worst company that you could possibly imagine. Take it from me as one of their first customers, brutal!

Great company with a great line of business phone, Internet, and data services. High-tech, but…read moreaccount managers explain everything in a way you understand. Professional and friendly, their tech support is there 24/7 and you get people instead of a phone bank. It's a Minnesota owned business and nice to know people on a first-name basis. Would definitely recommend for any business looking for high performance at an affordable price who want the best products and services.

Also, quite the salesman, convinced me to get my 10 year old a phone, whom I told had to wait until older.

Ignore Verizon's responses, it's a bot, as is Ron's supervisor, Reid. No matter what I said,…read moreReid-Bot kept saying variations of, " Did you sign a contract?" Not even a creative bot. Ron Mills, business account manager in the metro area, is an unscrupulous, slick talking man but his supervisor, Reid, when I finally was able to get in contact with Ron's supervisor after three attempts on filling out their complaint forms, said, "you signed a contract." I simply could not get the transfer code from Xfinity for my paid-off iPhone 13ProMax THAT DAY so Ron said, "let's just swap out a phone for you." And it was a standard iPhone 14, (much poorer camera features.) THEN THEY TOOK MY FULLY PAID OFF iPhone 13 PRO MAX AND SHIPPED IT AWAY BEFORE CONTRACTS WERE EVEN SIGNED. I WAS STUCK. I put it on auto pay (who checks those payments? Oops), and come to find out, I'm stuck with a three-year contract. Two years into it I still owe $1000. He had me swap out my paid off phone for a three year contract? As I asked Reid, his boss, "what normal healthy person would do a contract like that? If he can't see well enough to literally read the fine print?" He wouldn't answer. I asked the same questing in three variations, including a yes/no response. Crickets. I am visually impaired, as I told them at the time - it was obvious. Ron said, "it's the best deal you can get," and his rude boss, Reid, finally getting back to me, belligerently kept saying "you signed a contract." He had no compassion for a mentally and physically impaired senior. If Ron Mills is working at this store that day you want to set up a business account, DON'T, find another location if you want to get a business account. Or better yet, another carrier, ) Ron services several stores.) Ron even had me make up a business so he could work with me. All I wanted was a second phone line. There was a good deal going on that at the time.
