It was such a cute, small pottery shop close to the north of Capitol Hill, I would say. I like the variety of pottery and colors to choose from. However, I signed up for an hour and a half, and I recommend signing up for the maximum three hours and reserving in advance, especially on the weekends! The parking was janky, and I wasn't sure whether I would get towed.

We did the pinch pot class on a Friday night. I've never done anything with pottery before, so I had no idea what I was doing! The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful and answered all of our questions. I'm so excited to go back and paint our pieces! If you don't want to creat your piece, you can paint some premade sculptures too. I told my girlfriends we should come back for a 'claydies' night. Such a great place, couldn't recommend more!!

We had such a great experience at Ceramics in the city! We had a large party to celebrate a birthday. Ceramics in the city made it super easy for all of the guests. The different paint options were explained in details to all of us. We were also given guidance and feedback when we needed it. The entire experience was really relaxed and fun. There are several options of crafts to paint. The overall price was fair (sorta expensive) and you will need to pick up your creation in a week after you paint. Overall a fun experience for all!

Soooo much fun and easy to do even for beginners! My friend and I came here for a girls day and we had a blast! There are so many options to choose from and different paint offerings (pottery paints versus regular paints). The staff was friendly and warm--they explained everything to us and had very clear instructions. The shop offers a variety of different plates, bowls, cups, vases, or fun figures that you can paint!! Overall a great experience and the online reservation was super easy! We definitely will be returning!!

5 stars all day and then some. OMG what a fun day. I think we paid $40 for a 3 hour experience which included the studio time, the materials, the glazing the fire and the worlds best employee helping us. (I'm so sorry I forgot her name but she was a younger gal with glasses and the greatest personality ever.) and I had such a phenomenal time, I immediately signed up for classes because I want to utilize their studio time in the future. All in all... of all the things I have done in Denver, this might be the most fun I have ever had with a Group of friends. Thank you ceramics in the city!!!

We came here as a family with the teens to get creative on a snowy wet spring Friday. We had a reservation. I'd recommend that, and/or get here right when they open at 11:00. We were greeted and given a tutorial on the pottery selections and paint. Staff was friendly and answered all our questions. We chose some pieces and got to work. The whole experience took around 90 minutes. This is our second time here but first time doing a review. The space is warm and friendly and well organized. It's a little tight when the crowds arrive, hence the advice to arrive early. I'll update when we get the finished pieces back. They told us it would take 5-7 days. The only odd thing is as you are paying/checking out, they ask if you want to tip. This is where I always feel guilty, if I don't think asking for a tip is necessary. Everyone here is nice and knowledgeable, but a tip? Hmmm. Well I did leave a tip but I find it to be questionable. So be prepared to pay one way or another, because this place isn't cheap. Other than that it was enjoyable!

We did this for a birthday party. It was so much fun. The employees are super nice and it's a great option. They had so many options for painting and pottery.

Came here for a valentines day wheel class and it was so great. It was the perfect level of difficulty for a relatively short class (they do the hard part like centering the clay), and it all felt very reasonably priced. The people who work here are so sweet and the two who hosted the class were great. I've also been here for handbuilding and the standard pottery painting and both were so fun and soothing.

We had my daughter's birthday party here and it went perfectly! The helper we had was perfect with children. She was super patient with six young girls. I was also very impressed that we were charged for the items we painted and nothing more. There weren't any added fees for the party. We were all very happy with her party! Thanks for making her day so special.

Very friendly place to relax and paint. The staff are very helpful. They have a lot of options to choose from, in the way of ceramics, paint and colors.

I brought my 7 and 11 year old cousins here and my boyfriend. I have one complaint: The ceramics available are kind of boring. We all four, ages 7-35, struggled to find something we wanted to paint. Also, plan on spending at least $24 on you piece you want, or possibly an additional $10-15 per person. The $20 pieces are things you likely won't want. Besides that we had a great time! The staff was super helpful, offering suggestions, best practices and even helping my little cousin finish her piece. I wish they had more finished samples to give you a better idea of what your piece will look like after it's fired. But we did our best! Pictures attached. You can bring your own drinks and snacks (not sure about alcohol - I would guess no). Plan to spend 2+ hours here, and then go get drinks at the Owl or Bellweather next door, or Nuggs ice cream. Overall we had a nice time and I'd be happy to take my little cousins back if they want to return :)

Great place great people! We stayed for almost 3 1/2 hours and they were not impatient with us at all. Our pottery was out quick and beautiful, thank you guys so much!

We had a great time and they had plenty of supplies. Looking forward to going there again. You don't need kids to have fun like this.

You also receive a drink with your experience. It was a 2 hour experience. The first 10 minutes was waiting for people to settle down. Next 20 was watching the instructor tell us what to do. Then she did it again but this time, going step by step with us following each of her steps. My first one turned out amazing. But then the second and third time around, I forgot the step by step instructions and my pieces had to be thrown out lol. But my fourth time, I asked her to repeat the steps and once I got that down, my fourth, fifth, and sixth pieces were spot on. It took a while to get the hang of it but once I got, it was fun! Same with my partner. We had to stop with 30 minutes left. 15 minutes was for us to clean our stations. The last 15 minutes was to select which of our two pieces we wanted to take home and submit it on their website. I understand it probably sucks to have to clean all of the stations alone but I think we only spent about an hour actually throwing clay- the rest was waiting for people to settle down to start, watching her instruct, cleaning, and selecting our pieces. It took me a while to get the hang of throwing on my own so it would have been nice to actually throw for a little bit longer (even just an extra 15 min) since we paid for 2 full hours. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see how our pieces turn out once they are colored and glazed. The instructor was friendly and smiley.
