Finally got to pick up my pieces today. I just absolutely love this place. Great place for fun kid's birthday parties, girls and couples time, and for making gifts. Come check out this place. Carlos and his staff are very friendly and nice. Glad to be a regular here.

Been coming to this place for a couple years with my daughter. We've had such great experiences with the staff there and their prices are pretty reasonable as these paint-your-own-pottery places go. But I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed after our last visit. A piece that I painted as a gift for my mom was smudged with black by whoever glazed it. This definitely wasn't there when I left the shop after painting it. I feel like the staff should've noticed it, told me about it, and at least offered me an apology if not a discount on my next visit. We've easily spent hundreds of dollars at this shop over the past year and this just feels crummy. Now my gift has this huge gross smudge on it.

Loved this place!! You get to pick out whatever you want to paint and you pay a base fee ($8 for adults) plus the cost of the item/s you're painting. We did some pumpkins for Halloween. The owners are very helpful and tell you everything you need to know to get started. Once you're done, they finish the pieces and you get to pick them up in a week! Highly recommend for the whole family!

My friend and I wanted to try an activity not revolved around drinking, so we tapped into childhood and headed to paint some pottery! Into the Fire made the process extremely easy. I was also extremely impressed with the amount of options we had- colors and ceramic options. Fairly priced for such a great experience.

I've been to this studio about 5-7 times now and it's one of my favorites, the vibe of the place is really fun for all ages, my husband and I go and it's one of our favorite dates. Carlo the owner is really kind and has amazing customer service. Our pieces have always been ready on time and they have a great selection of pottery and paints! We will keeping coming back for as long as they are open!

Just one of the many things to paint on. ....

It is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and be artistic. The girls that work there are very friendly and super helpful. They answer your questions without shoving their thoughts on how you should paint down your throat. But, they also leave you alone and let your creative juices flow. ...

You also receive a drink with your experience. It was a 2 hour experience. The first 10 minutes was waiting for people to settle down. Next 20 was watching the instructor tell us what to do. Then she did it again but this time, going step by step with us following each of her steps. My first one turned out amazing. But then the second and third time around, I forgot the step by step instructions and my pieces had to be thrown out lol. But my fourth time, I asked her to repeat the steps and once I got that down, my fourth, fifth, and sixth pieces were spot on. It took a while to get the hang of it but once I got, it was fun! Same with my partner. We had to stop with 30 minutes left. 15 minutes was for us to clean our stations. The last 15 minutes was to select which of our two pieces we wanted to take home and submit it on their website. I understand it probably sucks to have to clean all of the stations alone but I think we only spent about an hour actually throwing clay- the rest was waiting for people to settle down to start, watching her instruct, cleaning, and selecting our pieces. It took me a while to get the hang of throwing on my own so it would have been nice to actually throw for a little bit longer (even just an extra 15 min) since we paid for 2 full hours. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see how our pieces turn out once they are colored and glazed. The instructor was friendly and smiley.

I don't often by social deals, but when one came up for a Paint Your Own Art experience, I had…read morepurchased the deal without even thinking about it. My plan? A date. Yes, a date! I convinced my creatively minded boyfriend into a Monday afternoon at the paint studio, and he, too, was sold on its awesomeness. Now, had I only realized how far away this place was, perhaps I wouldn't have purchased it. It is *quite* out of the way ... from everything. You'll likely be greeted by Sugar, the shop's bark-busy dog, and about six tables set up with plants and bottles of water for brush and sponge cleaning. The shop's owner was awkward, but friendly and gave us the 411 on the shop. You pick your piece (the price is on the bottom) and then the shop owner sets you up with your preferred paint colors, and you're on your way. I will say that I think the items are overpriced and the studio price was different than that advertised on the website. I chose a goblet that was mean to double as a Kiddush Cup (it's a Jewish thing), and the boyfriend chose what I would call a Cute Monster, and he would call a Scary Monster. We ended up arriving around noon, leaving around 1:30, and then coming back from 3:30 until closing at 6 p.m. Let's just say the boyfriend was meticulous. Luckily, the items were being fired on Thursday, so I was able to pick them up on the following Friday. After the long drive out, I picked them up and they were most excellent. I attribute this to our mad skills. Overall? There are closer places to the city, cheaper places, and places without a dog that barks at everything (which, when you're delicately painting, can be pretty distracting and ruinous to your project). Also? It was freezing in the studio, so bring a jacket or sweater or parka.

I have to admit that I had never been to this place before last spring, but upon talking to the…read moreowner I found out that she was new. The previous owner was going to close down the shop so the new owner bought it from him. It seems that the new owner is new to running a business, but the place had a variety of pottery choices. I've been in 3 times to paint art since the spring and each time there is something different. If you live in West Lakewood or Golden then PYOA is in a good location for you. There are plenty of paint colors, and brushes. There are large glasses of water for cleaning your brush, and several choices for "add-ons" which can be fun. There are about 6 tables in the large room, but every time I've been in it hasn't been busy. I also teach down the street and brought in a group of teenagers over the summer. They had a good time too!
