The side dishes were nice but could be better. The music was loud & got us dancing like no ending. Terrific place to host a big party (up to 150, I think). PICK ANOTHER VENUE It all began with the air conditioning. For a place that looks extravagant outside, you'd think they'd care more about the inside--BUT THEY DON'T. The Bride and Bridesmaids were sweating the WHOLE TIME getting ready and despite requesting that the air be turned on enough to keep it cool...it was only moved up one notch! How is that supposed to help cool a room full of people? Moving on to the little snacks they had available. You think it's hard getting candy from a baby? Try getting snacks from this venue! I'm not sure what happened there, but how is one little charcuterie board, with fruit-flavored cheese, supposed to feed a party of 14?! It was gone within the 1st hour and they did not bring us more. It was honestly a little annoying. They were asked multiple times to bring up more snacks. They seemed to be more happy with hiding in the back office and having little meetings than accommodating their guests. They only thing they were good for was giving over bottles of champagne and even for that they had to be chased down.... As the dinner started, things seemed to be going well. We were being served and everyone was having a good time.. Once it was time to be served the meals we selected, some of us were given the incorrect meals! Imagine how bad it could've been had somebody had an allergic reaction??  Staff was very careless and you'd think for the price Ceresville would care more--but I guess not. As the wedding came to an end, the bartender tried to close the bar earlier than the allotted time slot. I understand wanting to clean up and be gone before the end, but if you're being paid to be a bartender the whole wedding, why do you feel it's right to close before then?? Also... if you guys plan on getting the open bar, do think twice, the drinks will be extremely watered down and before you know it, you'll be full off of sugar and carbonation. read more

DO NOT HOLD YOUR EVENTS HERE... Pretty place but rude staff with poor communication and organization. Not sure if they have new management but they underdelivered severely. We paid for an open bar and would not recommend to anyone else. They were doing everything possible to save as much alcohol as they could. They looked severely underprepared as people were returning much more than normal and not feeling a thing. We watched them make drinks and were putting nearly nothing. One hour into dancing the bartender decided to cut off several guests prematurely. These guests were not even tipsy. The owner of the house stood behind the bartender most of the night and tried to close the bar earlier than agreed. Only keeping it open because we complained. Bride and Groom are NOT happy at all. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HOLDING ANY EVENTS HERE. read more

My Brother just had his Wedding here this weekend. I must say they couldn't of picked a better place. This Mansion was stately and had an intimate feel to it. Beautiful outside landscape with a Gazebo, nice individual large rooms with Fireplaces and the main room was elegant with a Dance floor. They also have a Bar area. The Staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend if you are looking for a Wedding venue or Event. read more

I had my wedding at Ceresville this past September on a Saturday. I have so many positive things to say about Ceresville and its staff. I worked with Stephanie leading up to the wedding, she was on top of emails and was always responsive and helpful, even to our vendors! Her professionalism and experience were beyond any expectations I could have had. She made herself available to us when we needed to meet with her. She really made my wedding planning stress free and I will forever be grateful to her for being such a huge help to creating my dream wedding. Visually, the venue itself has so many great spots that make for beautiful pictures, from outside behind the mansion on the pergola, to upstairs in the mansion, to out front on the terrace of the mansion, to even the grass near the parking lots... possibilities were endless. Our photographer got so many great shots, the one posted of our wedding party is upstairs in one of the rooms. Ceresville requires that you use their in house catering, but fear not, because their food selection is delicious. I would suggest attending one of their group food tastings, you will be able to taste a variety of their menu items :) The actual execution of all of my planning for the wedding went smoothly. Robbie was our day of coordinator and he did an amazing job. Robbie was on top of any concerns or issues that arose and made sure that everyone was where they needed to be throughout the night. The transition from the outside space from ceremony to reception was perfectly managed by Robbie. I have included an image of the seating setup under the tent, even an image of a napkin fold that I requested so I can slip in menu sheets I created. I LOVE how it all turned out! We also had Robin who was there to assist me and grab Robbie when I needed him. Seriously, if you are on the fence, make the right decision and go with Ceresville... you will not regret it! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner/picnic here In September 2013. I know, why did I wait so long to review? Because I am just figuring out this whole YELP thing!!! The whole experience was AMAZING! I am very easy to please and they went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect! Stephanie was our wedding coordinator and Phil helped us during our wedding. We had about 200 people and an open bar, so you would think the bill would be outrageous but it actually didn't give us a heart attack. The food was very tasty. We had steak, salmon, crabcakes, shrimp and tons of other appetizers. The chef even came out to check on us to make sure everything was okay. I had a personal "concierge" by my side the whole day. Her name was Brandi. She got me water, helped me with my dress, kept my mother in law away, and even got me a plate of food! If I ever get married again this is surely the place to do it! It's been many years since I got married here but I've recently attended other events and seen that the service, food quality, and ambiance remains impeccable. First, as both a bride and a guest I've felt that everyone working here does their utmost to make occasions special. They are friendly and helpful without being pushy. Most importantly they make sure things go smoothly. The food is excellent! I've been here both for dinner and for a cocktail hour event. As well as being tasty there are lots of choices. I had guests actually ask me if I could get them the recipe for the soup. Most importantly they were great about allergies and special requests. Lastly, the mansion is beautiful. The reflecting pool makes for gorgeous photos. I've been during the holidays and it is decorated nicely: not over the top but perfect for holiday events. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that adds to the charm. read more

I attended a friend's wedding here recently. It's a beautiful venue! The wedding was held outside, with the bride and groom standing in front of a "gazebo" like structure. Very pretty and romantic setting. After the wedding, we went inside to several rooms for appetizers and drinks (two bars, to lessen the crowds). We enjoyed appetizers from servers wandering through the crowds, plus a fondue that was in one room, as well as an open bar. The only suggestion was that more seating should be available (perhaps in the room where they did not have the fondue), as some guests have difficulty standing for that long. The meal was served buffet style and was delicious...all of it was delicious! From the vegetables to the meat and seafood, it was wonderful! Dessert was a cupcake tree with delicious cupcakes. The reception area included space for tables, as well as a central dance floor. Space seemed adequate for, I think, about 100 people. Overall, a beautiful place for a wedding (not sure how they would have handled it if it had rained). read more

I stopped by and talked to Jenny during their open house, and fell in love. This place is MADE for weddings, and if you book this place, you won't have to worry about a thing. Pros: - The outdoor ceremony area (pergola) is very well-made. The reflecting pool in the middle is beautiful, and it's surrounded by trees, so it feels really private. - They really take care of you. You're given a wedding coordinator that works with the couple about anything and everything. You're even given a "brideslave" to follow the bride around the entire day and take care of anything she needs. Ushers and greeters, sound equipment, and many other things are provided by the house. Cons: - In a place that's as "all-inclusive" as Ceresville is, it feels a bit limiting to have to use their in-house caterer. It saves a lot of time on the search, but it'd be nice to make your own choice. - The carpeting and decor all around the house are kind of strange. It feels very "old lady." The forest-green-and-gold patterns weren't completely to my liking. We eventually decided not to use this venue, but it's definitely worth checking out! read more

The structure, that dates back to 1888, was a wedding gift from the builder to his wife- an interesting foreshadowing to what the building is now used for. The mansion has historical architecture (both inside and out), majestic fireplaces, and parlor rooms that offer intimate settings for cocktail hours. The main dining room is lined with large windows that look out upon a reflection pool, a sweeping gazebo, and lush foliage that provides breathtaking scenery. My best friend Christina and her husband Steven had their reception here last week. An event that was well celebrated and memorable! The staff played a large role in making this day purely magical. The wedding coordinators were professional and accommodating, always checking in on the couple and their guests. The bridal party suites were large, clean, and just as ornate as the other rooms in the mansion. The food servers were personable and extremely efficient. The entire experience was flawless and seamless, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! The Ceresville has an enchanting and endearing quality that cannot helped but be noticed during a wedding! A perfect backdrop for a perfect day! read more

I had the opportunity to visit Ceresville mansion this past weekend for a wedding reception. Judging from Ina and Christina's previous reviews, that seems to be their forte. The outdoor gazebo/ pergola area is very cool. It is not only a nice backdrop for pictures of the wedding party, but a great place to set up shop for a bar and let guests enjoy the reflecting pool and some drinks. he bartenders (one older guy, one younger guy, were both excellent. I applaud them for having Flying Dog beers back there too!) Some (older) people I know like receptions to be "bang-bang" lets get right to dinner. Personally I enjoy an hour or so drink reception, and the outdoor area served this purpose perfectly. The dinner/dancing and other pageantry took place inside the mansion. I walked around a bit and was impressed with the preservation of original mansion pieces where possible. For example, the moulding used was hundreds of years old, and in very good shape. Similar attention to detail was evident elsewhere. I liked that a side room was made available for guests to drop off their wedding gifts- who wants to lug some box from Crate and Barrel around all day? The dinner was excellent too. I have been to some weddings where the choice of "steak or chicken" does not matter much because either one is the heat lamp special. In this case I enjoyed a lovely fillet, cooked to a perfect medium, with twice baked potatoes. Its hard to cook 100+ fillets to a temperature everyone will enjoy, but the chefs did just that. If you did not like this fillet, then I suggest you take a page out of "Tommy Boy" and stick your head up...." you get my drift, it was an excellent steak. Prior to the steak, we had a very nice 1/4 wedge salad, with fresh blue cheese and bacon. Not a healthy salad by any stretch, but also a very tasty one. The staff was very accommodating, and the food was great. All in all a super wedding reception at the Ceresville Mansion. I recommend it without reservation! read more

Great place for a wedding! I was invited to a family wedding there, last year. The mansion has some history to it- check out the website! I loved the inside, the different rooms they had available for the reception. The ceremony was outside in the little courtyard, and drinks, a presentation, and dinner were served all in the mansion. It was so much fun. The rooms and halls to walk through do get a little crowded when there's a lot of people, but it was so wonderfully decorated and everyone was having a good time. I recommend this as a venue to hold a wedding! :) read more

Not only is the venue classy, elegant, and beautiful...the staff and service provided by Ceresville Mansion is impeccable. My husband and I got married this past week, and Ceresville went above and beyond to make sure our event ran smoothly and stress-free. Meghan was a wonderful coordinator, and answered any and all questions I had promptly, and efficiently. The venue held our 130 guests snugly, but comfortably, and the outdoor ceremony area was beautiful: the fountain helped drown out most of the surrounding traffic noise, and because the Mansion had its own floral arrangements, we saved a lot by not having to buy additional decorations. The venue had both beautiful indoor and outdoor capabilities, so we felt covered in case of rain or shine. The food was so delicious. We highly recommend going in for a tasting, however, as it helps you know exactly what you're going to get. The brunch option is excellent, and the hors d'oeuvres were incredible. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food. Our only minor complaint is that the greeters/parking attendants did not manage the traffic of our incoming guests very well. We had to ask our bridal attendant to fix this problem, and it was quickly remedied, though by then, many guests had accidentally entered into the ceremonial area before it was ready to welcome them. All in all, we were incredibly impressed and happy with Ceresville Mansion and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in the Maryland area. read more

Attended a training at Ceresville this past week for my line of work. From the moment you drive onto the property the staff was nothing but professional and friendly. They easily directed cars to park. Then directed us all to our correct rooms. There were refreshments upon entry and staff to help direct you all over. The mansion itself is absolutely beautiful and the grounds outside were lovely and just shaded enough. The food was the best part. Their food was fantastic! I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to Ceresville. Their staff, specifically Natalie and Robbie, were on top of their game both on the day of the wedding and well beforehand. Every minuscule question could easily be answered in a timely email from Natalie, who always kept an upbeat attitude. On the day of, Robbie constantly kept me in the loop with what was going on and never got flustered with last minute details or changes. The entire staff did such a wonderful job of decorating the venue, and according to my mom, clean up was a breeze. When we unexpectedly had a lower guest count Natalie helped us hit the catering minimum by adding fun items such as chocolate covered strawberries and mimosas. I am forever grateful for her insights and advice through the entire planning process. My guests were truly amazed with how beautiful the venue was, how seamlessly the entire day flowed together, and how fun the day was. We were looking for a small and intimate place for our daughter's sweet 16 party, when we stumbled on Ceresville Mansion. It was like dream come true. The historical mansion that dates back to 1888 is small, elegant and feels like poetry with chandeliers, fireplaces and mirrors. The ballroom (just perfect for 120 guests) is gorgeous with windows that opens up to a breathtaking pergola and pool. The very moment I stepped in, I was in love. Our planner, Jessica, worked endlessly with us for five months as we decided on the menu, the decorations and other essentials. They were flexible and worked diligently to craft a menu that appealed to our Indian and American palate. We had the whole house to ourselves on the day of the party. The girls used the changing rooms (for the bride and the groom) to dress up, do their make up and even to sit and relax. The staff at Cereville Mansion left no stone unturned to welcome the guests and made them feel right at home. With people driving in NJ and beyond in snow, many were late, however, the staff was right there at the parking lot to direct the traffic, show them the way, take their coats and direct them to the ballroom. My planner had said, "I want you to enjoy your party and leave everything to us." And that's exactly what they did. For four hours and beyond, they were right there attending to every little need of the guests. Everyone raved about the food. We had opted for their Holiday menu, although lot of changes were made. The kids loved the stuffed pasta shells and the chicken with lemon and rosemary and the ice cream crepe was just heavenly. The 1st best decision that we made when it came to our New Year's Eve wedding was having our ceremony and celebration at Ceresville Mansion. My wife and I truly cannot endorse this venue enough - also as an LGBTQ+ couple, we cannot praise them enough (discrimination is still a thing, so this was really important to us). But seriously. For anyone considering Ceresville, do yourself a huge favor and go ahead and book them. It will be the best gift you give yourself, your soon-to-be spouse, and all of your guests. We have heard from countless of our 138 guests that our wedding is the best they have ever been to and that the food at our wedding ranks at the very top, too. Because in digging through the previous Yelp reviews I have seen the-rare-but-there one or two comments about food, I feel the need to share that we did a buffet style meal and selected the apple walnut salad; for the main courses we chose the sauteed chicken breast with raspberry, pesto cream shells, and the mushroom cap ratatouille for our vegan guests; plus a melange of veggies and twice-baked potatoes as the sides. We received unsolicited, very high compliments from older, avid wedding-goers and foodies with extremely high standards. Some of them even pulled us aside *at* the wedding to let us know their feelings about how wonderful everything was. Which, we must admit, feels pretty good. And the better part of all praise we get for our wedding needs to go directly to Ceresville. Ceresville is gorgeous and accommodating - checking all of our convenience boxes - and happened to be running a stellar winter wedding deal when we booked, which made it the most affordable option as well. One of our guests recently told us that our wedding felt so luxurious that it seemed as though we spared no expense. The truth is, Ceresville made it possible for us to stick to a very reasonable budget for space, food, and drink for 138 people on New Year's Eve. As an all-inclusive venue, they boast a beautiful house and grounds; onsite mouth-watering catering and well-stocked bar; in-house furniture, linens, centerpieces, etc.; and at the holidays, it is spectacularly decorated with classy metallics-and-greenery based holiday decor - a big bonus for us as we decided to supplement what they already had using a palette of cream and gold. And our guests ended up putting wedding gifts under the Christmas tree in the main entrance, which was adorable. In addition, Ceresville provides a wedding coordinator to walk you through the planning process and consult with you on specifics of your wedding; a day-of coordinator to make sure the logistics go smoothly; and on the wedding day, a staff member is personally assigned to the marrying couple to be sure they have everything they need at any given time (drinks, food, toiletries, etc.). All of these elements added up to give us a wedding we could not have even dreamed of without Ceresville and our personal wedding team lead by the incomparable Stephanie Lindsey. Stephanie consistently went above and beyond. She was quick to answer emails about big stuff like payments and little things like "do you think this would look good with the centerpieces?" During our official consultations, she was extremely helpful with coming up with ideas that would work for our non-traditional wedding and was the person to suggest a double aisle so both brides could walk down the aisles with our fathers at the same time (it worked PERFECTLY!). She is also just a delightful person who we genuinely enjoyed getting to know. We looked forward to every meeting, conversation, and email correspondence. We were also lucky enough to have Jessica and Jane as our day-of coordinator and bride-shadow, respectively. They went equally above and beyond to make sure we were thrilled with our wedding. That was a theme - everyone at Ceresville deeply wishes for you to have the wedding of your dreams and will do whatever is in their power to make sure that you get just that. And we really did. We got a wedding that went beyond our dreams. All thanks to Ceresville and the phenomenal staff. Even as we were packing up after 1am on January 1st, the staff were still going strong and helped us box everything and carry it out to the car. And they were JOYFUL about it, gushing about how great the wedding was, how lovely our guests were, and how they had actually enjoyed themselves and working that evening. They level of service and kindness you will receive from Ceresville is unreal and extremely genuine. You really couldn't be in better hands. We are eternally grateful for the wedding we had at Ceresville with their guidance and urge anyone and everyone to have their wedding at Ceresville Mansion, too. read more

When I was 16 I came to Ceresville for a wedding ceremony (did not stay for reception) and ever since then this venue always stuck out in my mind. I did not know the name of the venue I just remembered the beautiful pergola, reflecting pool, & atmosphere. Ever since then I wanted an outdoor wedding. When it was time to look for venues I searched and search then I asked my mom if she had remembered this particular venue. She remembered the location and looked it up and sure it enough it was the venue I had remembered. The next morning we called and set an appointment to check the venue. They were very helpful with everything. If you are military I would strongly suggest this venue. They have a great military rate. Since day one they have been so helpful. Jessica was amazing to work with, she always responded in a timely manner & made me feel comfortable asking her anything & everything! I strongly advise going to a tasting so that you can get an idea of the different & delicious food they offer. I needed a vegetarian option & they were more than happy to make the vegetarian option for the night of the tasting. The food is amazing so if you aren't able to make it to a tasting have no worries the food will be great. --The tasting night also gives one an idea of how an event will be set up. Ceresville is a very organized & helpful venue. They made wedding planning a breeze. Rehearsal could not have gone any better. It was very stress free thanks to Jennifer! Jennifer made the rehearsal & our wedding day as stress free as could be. It is nice they have an option for rain & they also let you have the choice to have it indoor or outdoor depending on the weather. It almost rained during our ceremony but we wanted to have it outside rain or shine! (there would be seats for people inside) I am beyond happy with how our wedding went & everything Ceresville in preparation for it. Juli & Lizzie were the absolute worst! Out of all the venues we toured this one takes the cake for how rude, non inclusive, and extremely offensive they are. I made it very clear that we are 2 brides from the very first inquiry. If you're gay and looking for an inclusive venue to get married at...STAY FAR AWAY from these people. They will blatantly call you out of your pronoun to your face. Lizzie referred to my fiancée as the groom in our face MULTIPLE times and then Juli had the audacity to follow up in emails after our tour...referring to us as a bride and groom EVERYWHERE on the quote, contract and even the email itself. How many times do we have to be purposely called out of our pronoun?! Even after you've seen us in person. It's 2022, GET IT TOGETHER & READ AND REMEMBER the things people tell you! Y'all made me sick to my stomach and I'm making it a point to let every platform and the entire world know how NON INCLUSIVE y'all actually are. Juli & Lizzie should be highly ashamed of themselves!! Oh and Juli blamed her several mistakes on "NOT being the event planner" bc that makes sense right???! Absolute joke of a venue and the people you have running it....need to be retrained on inclusion. read more

Of the venues we visited, Ceresville was the one that had everything we were looking for PLUS they were accommodating with our needs and budget. We worked with one of their wedding coordinators and she was great! She helped us figure out everything that needed to be handled, not just regarding Ceresville but also the other vendors. She made everything so much easier for us and that alone meant a lot. We opted for a brunch buffet and it was delicious. Did not hear any complaints from our guests...well other than them wanting to take some food home! Ceresville worked with all of our vendors (flowers, photographer, cake, DJ), making it so seamless I honestly don't remember thinking too much about the setup on the day of. They had a member of their staff dedicated to us as the wedding couple to ensure any issues/questions/etc we had were dealt with immediately and they also handled getting us our food (super important!). There is one negative we had with Ceresville in that they did not honor some of their initial promises to us. Without going into too much detail, we made some concessions regarding the day and hours of our wedding in order to get closer to our target budget. A week before the wedding, as we finalized the contract with an accurate guest count, we found they had reneged on some initial promises they had made. We gently pushed back and they stayed firm and with it so close to the wedding we gave in. We probably could've tried harder to secure the initial promise but it didn't seem worth it at the time. Other than that, we were (and still are) very happy with Ceresville! To this day we have family mention how wonderful the wedding was. We just recommend that any promises made to you are written down and in the contract! read more

Not sure about all the good reviews, I found the pictures on the website to be very misleading. The mansion is not in the greatest shape, a little dingy. The ballroom is tiny, my mom didn't even notice we had walked through it because it was so small! I had an amazing experience with Ceresville! Stephanie was a pleasure to work with for a year of planning. She always had an answer to my questions and if I had a special request, she would go above and beyond to try and make it happen. On the day of the wedding, we worked with Robbie who was equally as helpful, professional, and wanted to make sure you did not have to worry about a thing. Aside from the amazing staff, the venue was gorgeous and the food was amazing! Seriously, try the goat cheese as one of your appetizers. Married 5/8/2010 @ 11:30AM (1st and hopefully last time) Also I am a Wedding DJ and MC: Just a background. My wife and I searched endlessly for the place of "her dreams" that allowed an outdoor ceremony. Now I know there are probably places that we didn't see, and I have been to other great outdoor ceremonies. One things that really set this place apart was the level of service we received from the staff. Our in house wedding coordinator was Jenny. She was very professional, knowledgeable, caring, and understanding. Now you would think with an in-house coordinator, you may sacrifice in service. NO WAY. She really knew what she was talking about, helped set the menu to our liking, helped us find vendors and even found ways to save a dollar or two. The rehersal and the day of the wedding, Wayne was on staff to coordinate all the events and vendors. We even had a bridal party attendant and she made it so easy for us. All we needed to do was show up and say I do. Anyone who is or has planned a wedding knows the stress involved. Ceresville took some of the planning load of and on the day of the wedding, it felt like a vacation. This place is a historic mansion and at times it felt very strange compared to the contemporary places we have visited. But when it was all over, the mansion, the staff, it felt so comfortable, like I was at home. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor venue with a great staff, I would highly recommend this place. My husband and I had a beautiful wedding with brunch at Ceresville Mansion. The food is what drew us in as well as the staff. Everyone raved about the brunch and our photos were beautiful because Ceresville has been beautifully appointed in terms of decor. The cost was reasonable, comparatively speaking. Again, I reiterate, beautiful venue, excellent food, but very careless with customers' belongings. I will also add that when I attempt to resolve the issue with the owner he was very rude. Kate M. your staff told my mother that they would "take care of everything", and your staff told me the same when they volunteered to take gift cards from my hands. If you do not want to be responsible for safeguarding wedding gifts, perhaps your staff should not offer to do such. This was an isolated incident and could have been avoided if the bride had provided a secure gift card box and/or a member of her bridal party to be in charge of cards. We just had our wedding there July 30th, and I must say the staff was excellent they really are very good at what they do, they take care of everything, the venue is beautiful. My ceremony was to be on the Terrance but a huge storm came and I was so sad to have to move it indoors. But they made me feel better they did awesome job setting up everything it was so beautiful. I keep getting complaints on how beautiful my wedding was. They're so good at weddings it makes me want to do it again with my husband, we may have a 15 year anniversary bash there. You get what you pay for and then some. read more

We had my daughters bridal shower here in July. The place was beautiful! - that's why I gave it 3 stars because the service and food were terrible! When we set this up they had just reopened. This was her 1 and only bridal shower so we wanted it to be amazing! To rent the venue out for 4 hours was $1200 a little steep in my opinion. Then they have a $1500 food and drink minimum - ok for 40 people that should work. We decided on a luncheon - chicken salad on croissant - the chicken was great croissant was gross then a few chips and fruit. We were to have appetizers- I nad chosen 3 appetizers however I never saw 2 of them only 1 which was the soft pretzels with cheese dip station - pretzel was great cheese dip about made you vomit. We also were to have lemonade and ice tea - that's if you could find someone and ask for a drink. Not even the bride the guest of honor could get a drink!!! Someone had spilled a water on the table and when looking for a staff member to help clean it up or just give you something to wipe it down was almost impossible and once we found someone and told them - they said ok but never did anything Then when I told our contact Allison she said she will get back to me after she spoke with chef - I told her this on July 19 the day after the shower I've tried to contact her 3 times since and I can't get a response Also you have to give them a $500 security deposit Incase if anything being broke I also had to beg to get that back. I know things are difficult at this time but I'd like to get what I paid for As it stood after the bridal shower luncheon of 38 guests about 20 of us went to get food after because everyone was starving due no appetizers seen that were paid for and croissant being cold and hard and everyone was tiny of a thirst. read more

I wish I had four thumbs so I can give this place four thumbs down. I'm giving one star because there is no option to give ZERO. This place only cares about their sales and has no regard for their customers. A wedding "yard sale" happened here today and they only had 30+ vendors to accommodate a crowd of TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE. People arrived at the yard sale and eventually had to leave because Ceresville mansion turned us away since they couldn't hold anymore people. Ceresville mansion also did NOT give the public any kind of heads up on what to expect since all they cared about was making that extra buck. So over a thousand people arrived including myself and my fiancée and we unfortunately had to turn around and go back home since we obviously couldn't get in. Mind you, we arrived ON TIME at 9am based on their advertised hours for which the event was supposed to begin. Don't go here, you will only be disregarded. read more

Wow! I can't say enough good things about Ceresville. They made our wedding perfect. From day one they were willing to do whatever we wanted for our big day. We had a brunch wedding, but weren't a huge fan of the package hors d'oeuvres, so we were able to customize and do ones that were more brunch-y. They took care of putting out all of the decorations and made sure that we had everything we needed that day. We didn't have to worry about anything! Having their "bridal attendant" around let my bridesmaids enjoy their day instead of having to follow me around. I would recommend Ceresville in a HEARTBEAT! read more

I got married at Ceresville Mansion on Friday and it completely exceeded my expectations! I couldn't be happier with the venue I selected to host the most important day of my life thus far. Originally, since I am from Baltimore, I had settled on a venue in my mind years before even becoming engaged. My husband and I decided to scope out some other options though. Venue visit after venue visit, we kept coming back to the idea of Ceresville Mansion because it was so beautiful and the staff was fantastic. Since I recently graduated with a degree in Historic Preservation, the historic home really appealed to my senses. The food was incredible and guests have not stopped raving about the experience as a whole. I cannot say how grateful we are to the staff who completely made us feel at ease and removed all stresses of the day. Just before the wedding was to begin, it was discovered that there was the issue of a missing wedding cake! When the bakery was less than helpful in resolving the issue, Ceresville stepped in and ensured we had a beautiful, delicious cake. Although I am sure I am missing some praise, I cannot thank the staff enough for a beautiful venue, and wonderful time. Ceresville Mansion is perfect and should be considered by any couple seeking to have a ceremony and reception that is beyond anything you could possibly imagine. read more

Everyone here knows what they're doing and they have great attitudes. Kate makes every couple feel like they are her only client. The chef, banquet manager, bartenders etc all give the same graceful and kind service. Awesome venue! read more

Now that the dust has settled, I feel compelled to write this review. My husband and I had our wedding event at Ceresville on July 11, 2015. From my first e-mail inquiry regarding the venue up until to our actual event I have been impressed. Stephanie was our wedding planner and I could not have asked for a better experience. Her professionalism was stellar and her personality matched. The venue is elegant, the weather was beautiful and we were able to have our ceremony outside on the pergola. The food was delicious and Chef Tom modified one of the dishes per our request. On the day of, we worked with Molly and Lori and they took care of EVERYTHING. I didn't have to think, just smile, look pretty and enjoy. Molly is awesome, she kept us on track in an obtrusive way. Our guests were well tended to and the interactions with the various vendors was seamless. The pricing is beyond fair and everything on the business end was handled very efficiently. Bottom line: I have no intention of getting married again, but would use the venue again and would recommend it without reservation.
