Memorial Chapel - Uncle's Celebration of Life in the garden chapel (smaller chapel in the Memorial Chapel building)

There is the memorial chapel closest to parking lot L and a water fountain outside. There is the larger church building that is within view if the street from Route 1. The smaller chapel has a beautiful tree of life artwork that hangs on the wall. The chapel is small and beautiful. We attended a memorial for a loved one. The larger church looks like the perfect place for celebrations and weddings. The web site details how to find the free parking lot and where to go if the lot is full.

Clean logistics planning. Quick turnaround on contracts. Basic execution support (to include a small selection of on-hand decor). Great location, easy parking (private lot), beautiful views of campus, nestled in a small garden. The only three things renters should be aware of with the smaller chapel is, considering the age of the building, 1) sound proofing is non-existent. Every time a guest opens a door (chapel door, bathroom door, etc) you hear the open and close; 2) there really isn't much space for rollers, wheel chairs, etc in the small chapel. So for memorial services with a heavy elder load-in this may be a challenge; 3) there is no additional space for repast or informal celebration attached to the chapel so guests will have to travel for post activities. Would recommend.

Here's our experience. 1) Parking: Located up a long driveaway, there was enough parking for guests without it feeling cramped. 2) Space: For the Indian ceremony, we were outside in their garden. It was beautiful, but also very cold on a windy April evening. Luckily, there were blankets for guests, but it was COLD. The cocktail hour was below the barn with powerful heaters. Upstairs in the old barn was the reception. It felt a little tight for 150 guests, but not bad. 3) History: The property is on an old farm with a brick Colonial era house. The house is where the wedding party got ready for the ceremony. I couldn't find record of this easily online, but it's safe to assume the former owners of the house enslaved people pre-Civil War. It's important to note so we don't take that lightly.

The groom's getting ready area was nice and had a lot of games/activities to keep the men happy throughout the day, as us ladies got ready. We were actually quite jealous of all of the fun things they had- the bridal suite had nothing! My biggest complaint would be that the bridal suite was overrun by bugs- wasps, stink bugs, and lady bugs. The staff was friendly and did their best to remove the wasps (the only bug we cared too much about), but it was still a bit gross.

From the stunning venue to the seamless coordination, our special day was a beautiful blend of traditions and cultures. We believe that Milton Ridge is unique in offering an all-inclusive intimate space with comprehensive packages and fair pricing. The picturesque setting of Milton Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The lush gardens and elegant architecture created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joyous occasion. The venue's versatility allowed for a seamless transition between the fusion outdoor Nikkah ceremony and the lively reception. Both day-of coordinators (from the venue) deserve special recognition for their impeccable service. They went above and beyond by working with the decorating crew, DJ, MC, and photography crew to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, their professionalism and dedication were evident. The catering was a highlight of the evening. The fusion menu was expertly curated by the on-site chef and offered a delightful array of dishes that pleased guests from both cultural backgrounds. The chef at Milton Ridge showcased his culinary expertise by seamlessly blending flavors and textures, creating a feast that left a lasting impression on our guests. There were some concerns with the demeanor of some of the contracted waitstaff towards some of our externally hired vendors, but I recognize that this was not necessarily in the venue staff's control. I would suggest that the venue's staff be more responsive and receptive to telephone communication, as well. Some matters can be better discussed over the phone. I believe the venue mentioned that we were the 2nd or 3rd South Asian wedding held at the venue, so we were glad to allow the venue to work with us on our wedding to gain experience and we would certainly consider hosting future events such as anniversary parties or a baby shower at Milton Ridge!

The owner and operator, Ronnie Kingsley, handled every detail (great or small) with impeccable care. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was picturesque and the service was outstanding. In summary, I highly recommend Milton Ridge as venue of choice in the Washington Metropolitan area. Much of what made June 25 so special for us was Ronnie's attention to detail and all that Milton Ridge has to offer.
