The few times I've asked an employee for something, someone helped me efficiently; this last time, the worker was already very busy, but she still got me into a fitting room in short order. I'm not there to be social, so this suits me fine. Invariably, I find some kind of not-to-be-believed deal. This last time, I got three absolutely gorgeous sweaters -- one was new with the tags still on it -- for twenty bucks. The last time, I got a Coach purse, also brand new, for $70, one that easily would have retailed for well over $200 at the Coach outlet by my house. The place is amazing. I'm going back up one more time before I leave tomorrow, and I know I'll find that "one more thing" I didn't know I couldn't live without.

To allow them to pay for them. So I asked her how long a customer can do a hold for And She told me 24 hours. So I asked her if I paid cash right now for it I could not buy it and she told me no. I have never heard of a resale shop allowing employees to have the first pick or holding items longer for employees than they do for customers.

After filling out the paperwork and sending a check deposit, as requested, I worked with a representative to book an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta for $2,435.84, which I paid in full. Three days before leaving for our honeymoon, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. This led me to calling the resort to confirm our reservation -- which thank goodness I did -- because we discovered that the whole trip was a scam and the travel agent had stolen our money. The representative not only stated this was a case of fraud, but admitted it had been happening for months to other clients from the company. This left us without our dream honeymoon and out $1,500 in nonrefundable airfare, on top of the money paid for the trip. I notified Tracina Fisher, the owner of Formalities, in hopes of preventing this from happening to other brides. While she initially expressed sympathy and asked how she and Peter Hayes (the Marketing Concepts Representative) could help, their tone quickly changed. When I asked if their companies could help recoup the $1,500 we lost--considering this situation never would have occurred without their promotion--they became extremely rude and blamed me instead of taking accountability for putting their customer through this situation. It's devastating to lose our dream honeymoon to fraud and even worse to feel abandoned by the businesses we trusted. While we are dealing with this issue with both federal and state authorities, I strongly urge anyone considering this store or promotion to proceed with caution. This experience has caused immense financial and emotional distress, and I hope it prevents others from suffering the same.

ANYWAY lady took the size, and stated that I was a 42. (I have never worn a 42 jacket in my life and ended up purchasing a large poorly fitted 40). The pants were next. 34. No- i tried on a 30 in another fabric and same style that fit like a glove. The lady said that she could only order me a 31 pant, because that was all that was left. There were also no 38 jackets. The lovely in-store tailor was wonderful and felt like she could make it work. I was very clear about what I was looking for. A week later the pieces came in and I came in for a fitting. A gentleman greeted me this time. I put the pieces on, and he said "we have this fabric available for a custom suit, is that something you were interested in?" Yes. How long will it take? And how much? "3-4 weeks. I wouldn't risk it now. You should have ordered last week when you were in." Clearly annoyed, I explained that I was never given that option and told that this was my only option, and that prices are very similar after the extensive tailoring." He said he was sorry. It wasn't his fault. I returned the following week for a try-on after the tailoring was complete. I was greeted by the original saleswoman from the first visit. I told her who I was and that I got a call that my suit was ready. *blank stare in return*. The gentleman went to retrieve the suit. The lady said, "where is your stuff?". What stuff? "Your dress shoes, and dress shirt. How do you think we see if things fit, if you don't bring them." (Would have been helpful to know before coming, that I couldn't use the try-on shirts and shoes that are sitting by the dressing room; it was not in the voicemail). I tried on the suit, was unhappy with the fit. The saleswoman said while walking away "well, its this or you wouldn't match the groomsmen." I explained to her that I could have purchased a custom suit if she had mentioned it on my first visit. She scoffed and said "maybe in a different color. They don't make it with this fabric". I asked her to check and she said "You're right. Its the one overlap in our system. Maybe you can come back and get the custom jacket you want after the wedding." I heard her talking to the other associate. Katalina came over to talk with me and was lovely. I will not be returning and will recommend this store to no-one. I should just have the bride call and have them explain why the suit fits poorly. C'est la vie.

The first time I went there, I was greeted by a very young lady with the question, "how tall are you?" Well, I'm obviously short; was the question supposed to be a joke? One may even wonder about the very wisdom of having young women as salespersons at a store for men -- does Victoria's Secret have a lot of male employees selling women's underwear to women? I just found the whole experience unpleasant. But the second time, dealing directly with the manage, was a different story. State College has very few options for anything, left alone clothing. Jos A Bank is just fine, particularly in the context of this town.
