    Plátanos, pupusas y pastelitos

We came here for my bday, we live pretty far. The food was amazing, I had the plátanos, some pastelitos and pupusas in cheese, mixta and revueltas and a cucumber lime water. All delicious! I even ordered some to go (I'm pregnant and this has been a craving lol) the service was great, our server was attentive and so sweet. I can't wait to go back! Wish I took more pics but I couldn't wait to dig in!

I been looking for a few years a good Salvadoran restaurant and every single time I was disappointed (pupusas with mozzarella or flavorless cheese, spicy sauce instead of the tomato one and lot more) my husband found this place on TikTok and I was impressed with the flavor of everything, pupusas are great, atol de elote was delicious, tamales just like one in El Salvador and the quesadilla was really good! The only thing missing is the chocolate de tablilla (water one not milk) and will be perfect, honestly is the best salvadorean restaurant BY FAR in DFW

Nice clean restaurant with bakery attached. Food was excellent and the portions were large. Authentic Salvadorian food that was amazing. Pupusas, yuca and chicharrón were amazing. Chorizo and eggs came with homemade tortillas and every bite made you want more. Wish I could have kept eating more but I was stuffed! Highly recommend you give Cerro Bonito a try!

Comfortable atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, delicious food that is really reasonably priced, especially if you get one of their daily specials. Where else can you get two pupusas of your choice, a side of rice and beans for 10 bucks! And this is a filling meal. Rice and beans are always fresh as are the pupusas. They even throw in chips and salsa. But beyond their Salvadoran cuisine they offer some killer steaks and unique killer cocktails, which is why I always sit at the bar. Whenever you find yourself in South Dallas I strongly recommend coming here.

Upon arrival, they had daily special out with a perfect vegetarian option! I was instantly glowing! More options to pick from! We go in and it's minimal but nice and clean, plenty of seating in two huge rooms. We sat down and were served instantly. We were given free chips with salsa. I got a mimosa, vegetarian popusa, and a corn tamale. Everything was delectable. The portions were perfect. I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options! The location is in a up and coming area, was not that nice years ago. There is plenty of parking but depending on the time you arrive you may have to pay for parking. I think it's free after 6pm. The price was also perfect for what we got! We lined this location and will continue to come in

I appreciated it having English & Spanish descriptions. There were two of us, two menus they brought, and only one water. Had to ask for the 2nd one after we realized it really wasn't coming. They bring you chips & salsa. That salsa is good but it is spicy! Proceed with caution & ensure beverage readily available. We got a bean & cheese papusa just to try. It was decent. I actually don't remember if it had cheese i'd order again with different filling. I enjoyed my chicken quesadillas. They were stuffed with meat and the side portion of rice and beans was large and good. The cheese to meat ratio wasn't right for a quesadilla - some ate more like a soft taco than quesadilla) but my arteries are probably in a better place with less cheese. The beans could benefit from a tad of flavor. I was supposed to get pico but believe we may have had a communication issue as my Mom asked for no pico (on hers). Not a biggie though. My Mom enjoyed the nachos. Chips are different than what we're used to. We were both disappointed in the consistency, taste & flavor of the guacamole. It was not good, seemed to come from a tube, near revolting. The prices are a little on the high end. We both brought half our meals home so not so bad when divided out that way. Unfortunately I'm not fluent in spanish so there was a minor language barrier but all the staff were smiling, welcoming, and we did well enough! I would like to go back to try more.
