Ali was a great listener and developed a vision for the house that fit both our lifestyle and tastes. She introduced us to pieces and patterns beyond those we would have found on our own. For each room, she provided multiple choices for furniture, patterns, rugs, etc.--at various price points and styles--and made sure that we could mix and match the different pieces while maintaining the overall vision for the room. In addition to her aesthetic talents, Ali was a huge help with logistics--placing orders, securing samples, and staying on top of suppliers and vendors. With the ongoing supply delays due to the pandemic, Ali kept us up to date as shipping and delivery dates changed. It was easy to communicate with the team, both on big picture issues and on smaller logistical issues. Bitarchitects listened to us and provided us with options and expertise to navigate the task of structural reinforcements for our 100-year old DC home. I also appreciated that, in addition to talking through things, they neatly put things in writing so there was a clear documentation of the project. -- We had an urgent concern with a structural issue in our old house so we reached out to Bitarchitects based on their good reviews here. We received a prompt response and soon had an engineer evaluating our house. The engineer was thorough, helpful, and went above and beyond. He provided a lot of valuable insight both on site and then in a comprehensive written report. In a short time, we selected a delightful suite of living room furniture. June made sure the furniture arrived on time and arrived on the delivery day to put everything gorgeously in place while I worked on my business, including tactfully putting aside some junk and even offering to hang our art. That gave me huge relief, because it was the day before my guests were to arrive, and I had no time to deal with it. I was also impressed that June did many things off the clock and didn't charge us extra when she realized it would suit our taste and lack of time best to order our art gallery wrapped. June also found a way to repurpose four lamps that we had so that they went with the decor where they were situated. Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that.
