Rockefeller Oysters

Found this little gem when we were on our road trip to Ensenada for spring break! It's a must try! Their beer is good, their food is even better and the ambiance is very comfortable. Iker, our server, gave excellent customer service and made some great recommendations. We tried their Sirena and Vieja beers and I think it's safe to say that you can't go wrong with whatever you try on their menu. Their ceviche verde and ceviche negro was fresh and amazing. Their sirloin beef burger patty is made in house and so tasty! My husband had the Rockefeller oysters and those were also very tasty! We will definitely be back for more on our next trip. How could I forget... their blueberry cheesecake & chocolate mousse dessert was also amazing!

I'm so glad we decided to visit this brewery. Pretty sweet. It's all built in containers. Even the bathrooms are incredible the way they are set up. They did a great job at greeting us, welcoming us, & explaining how everything works with COVID-19 & even provided masks. They bottle the brew even when ordering to-go. It was awesome! One of them popped before we left & they quickly capped it back for us. The IPA was so tasty delicious & if you like ale, the cream ale was really good too (& I don't like Ale). The alcohol content was quite high for the IPA which is always nice & the view alone is worth going back too once everything is reopened. Lastly, that customer service was spot on! Thanks Aqua Mala staff. PS don't forget to ask to purchase a glass beer mug with their logo. Quality.

Alright, first off I don't really drink and beer is usually my last choice, but oh my gawd, you can't not stop here! Not only is it actually really good beer, but made with a care and passion that is unfortunately absent and likely why I don't really like most beer. But even without drinking the place is an amazing mash up of creativity and passion that is worth the stop. And if it is still there check out the terrible porsche 959 "clone" left in the yard nextdoor!

Love this place so much. Costal view brewery made of shipment containers! Food was delicious also. First time having fried oysters and it didn't disappoint. Must check out brewery in you're passing by.

Tropical. Nutria y vieja tasters. Exquisitas!

Love the pint glasses, definitely going to buy one. This one is the mantis.

Head to the top floor. Love the vibes from up there. You can kinda see the ocean which was nice. They were super nice and speak some English so you can get by. Sarah was super nice.

We came here part of a tour and WOWOWOW, we will for sure come back. They have beers in America as well and I'm so excited that there's some stores nearby that sell it The cider was amazing All their beers are seriously so good The service is amazing, they didn't rush us, they were kind and have a real passion for what they do They said they do new beers every Tuesday! The place is two stories, they serve food as well. Everything is a nautical vibe and made out of ship parts or shipping containers, the natural light makes this place fun and light, I love the designs they created and honestly we will be back to visit this one! Definitely a must go to!

Flight of all their current IPAs - all tasty!

Great brewery - I ordered one of their gin cocktails and couldn't stop ordering it. My husband got a flight of all their IPAs. It was hard for him to pick which one we wanted a pint of since they were all so good. We have a burger and pizza. The pizza was great and the burger was huge - had potential if the bread was dry, which ultimately changed the overall taste of the burger. Service was pretty good... They were pretty busy so we didn't get a few things - utensils to cut/split the burger, and towards the end, we didn't get a beer we ordered but was charged for it. It took a while to get the check so at that point, we paid quickly bc we needed to head out, and didn't realize it til later. Nonetheless, highly recommend and we will be back!

My favorite Craft haunt in Ensenada. The breweries' built from recycled shipping containers so you can feel environmentally sound well drinking brew. The bar's on the second floor - take the stairs up in middle of the containers - and has a great view of the ocean. Cool Craft tenders (remember to study you copy of the best selling 'Craft Jesus Basic Spanish for Crafters' guide). Brewing's a Baja German/West Coast mash up. Nice change. It's far enough away from downtown that only the occasional cruise shipper turns up. If they try to engage with you, just pretend you only speak Español. Now you're wishing you read the book! Pricing is Ensenada money, around $3 and change for a pint. My Craft Jesus rating a 'fine brew' 78 IBU

Fish ceviche with havanero and coconut milk! Perfectly balanced!!!!

Incredible brewery!!! It is a must when we are in Baja California. Our trip doesn't feel complete if we don't come here! The beer: Seems like they have a few new selections when we come, which is great! However, we love Sirena. Definitely a smooth beer and not too hoppy. They also had a Wit Bier, which was really good. The food: The food is insanely good here. We usually get the ceviche, which is fish ceviche with habanero and coconut milk. Don't let the habanero scare you! The coconut milk counteracts with it perfectly. Buttery textured fish and it does not have that overwhelming fish smell or taste. The atmosphere: the small building is made of trailer containers stacked on one another with a nice on the 2nd floor. People of all ages and mixture of locas and tourists here. Music is not super loud and it's kid friendly. Plenty of parking outside. Nice view frkm side windows during the day. Price: Inexpensive place where you'll get a bang for your buck without sacrificing service or quality. Give this place a try next time you're in Baja, you won't regret it!

This brewery is one of the top micro brews in Ensenada, it has such a delicious mix of many different types of beer. You definitely have to bookmark this place on your next stop in Ensenada... The burgers that came out of the kitchen looked juicy, but sadly I was to stuffed to order one.

We were Ensenada for the weekend and our Airbnb hosts recommend this great spot. It was walking…read moredistance from our loft rental and it is located in El Sauzal right off the main toll road. Very hip and great ambience. Has the district vibe going and many breweries inside and also an outdoor area also with many more breweries. Overlooks the water. They have a couple of eateries. One is your basic, pizza & salads. Other place is seafood. Great food and great beer. Everyone was very nice and we were able to sample the different craft beers before purchasing. They also have a bar with well drinks for those non beer drinkers . Highly recommend its a cool spot. We were there on a Friday and it closed at 2am. A hidden gem for beer lovers. Very casual

This is a great little beer garden, especially if you come before it gets super packed at night…read more There's all of the local breweries, and supposedly a cider spot is opening up soon. And it's right on the water. Which as a Pisces i gotta love. Why the five stars? You can get VEGAN tacos here at the seafood spot. Which is literally impossible to do anywhere else in town. And they're really delicious. My non-vegan friendly partner in eating loves them too. They also have vegan pizza I'm told, though I myself haven't seen it and can't confirm. I'm attaching a photo of my friends all accompanying me in vegan taco, so you know I'm not lying. Because it's hard AF to be vegan in Ensenada.

what an awesome little spot just off to the side of the street. it sits on the corner of the side…read moreroad to which we turn in to get to Casa Encinares B&B. It's an outdoor wooden shack, no doors. we noticed it because there was a sign that said "beer" and we saw lots of people there. our host at the B&B told us we must try it before we leave, so we did. as soon as we sat down at the bar, a big tall gentleman came to greet us. he spoke perfect english and made some awesome recommendations. BF had a couple of beers (cant remember what they were, but i believe it was local), and because i wasn't planning on drinking more (we just got done with a small winery tasting tour), but Chris recommended i try the cocktiel de guayaba, its a bourbon cocktail with guava! It was only 40 pesos and if the owner recommends me.....why would i refuse? we were super hungry so we wanted something light and Chris recommended the pulpo ceviche (100 pesos). My drink was ridiculously tasty as i am a huge guava fan and the bourbon balances the sweetness of the guava with the liquor. the pulpo (octopus) ceviche was wonderful and delicious with just the right portion and served with thin tortilla chips. Chris was so kind and chatted with us almost the entire time we were there. i HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for a quick drink and light bite even if you are here to explore the wines in this wine country. my only mistake was that we came here after having drank so much already from visiting all the wineries!
