First time in Barcelona and first time time here. It was a fun experience with some good service and delicious food. Sit inside if you do not like cigarette smoke, which does occur. For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

    Spanish omelet, incredible.

Walking down the street on Rambla and a "Huge Line" has gathered outside Cerveseria Catalana. Something special must be happening here to have this big of a crowd waiting. My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

It's been a decade since I came here for my first Tapas in BCN. This is where I realized there was a lot of my peeps that works there and it's nice to feel at home, lol. This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

Amazing catalan food served here. We stopped by on a weekend and had a wait of about 20 mins and still got seated at the bar. We ordered their sangria and tapas - shrimp skewers, red sausage baguette with peppers and aioli, prawns croquettes, catalan style chicken thigh, mini hamburger along with some bread. Every dish was delicious and full of flavors. Hard to pick a favorite. The place is huge but its busy with large and small groups of people. Service is quick and they can get sold out of some menu items but there is plenty to order from. Even though expensive I highly recommend this catalan spot when in Barcelona.

Absolutely outstanding and within walking distance from my hotel. The service was excellent and server was helpful in suggesting tapas to try. She also spoke English which was a plus. Very cute place that was packed but I was immediately seated. Great drinks and fantastic food. The best meal I had in Barcelona. I especially loved the beef with foie gras.

4.5 stars for tasty tapas and a lot of variety. As a party of 2x we had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat outside since they are busy. You are sat pretty close to other tables and the smoker next to us ruined the air. The service was fast and efficient and our servers spoke fluent English. My favorites were the burnt Saint Teresa Torrija, salmonrejo, Oxtail on patata cream, and Crab and prawn montadito.

This is definitely a hot spot Spanish Tapas and Paella dishes! Be sure to place your name on the waitlist and wait for about 20-30 minutes (the hostess will provide you with an accurate time frame). The biggest challenge is waiting for your name to be called. There is a spacious outdoor seating and the indoor seating area is deceptively large. I highly recommend their beef tenderloin with foie gras on a piece of toast. The meat is tender and juicy, and the fatty liver melts into your steak! This was the best dish on the menu. It was 8 pm on a Monday evening, and they were completely sold out of several items including the suckling pig . We tried the grilled Spanish shrimp, which included six pieces of whole red shrimp. These delicious shrimp heads were absolutely delicious. The octopus and shrimp skewers were tasty, but tasted the same as the seafood salad dish. Lastly, we tried the deep fried anchovies, which was another surprising addition to our meal. Pair your meal with a nice glass of their sangria!

We found Cerveaeria doing our research and reviewing the Yelp reviews we know it was going to be a stop during our trip. When we got to the restaurant there was a long wait but the restaurant is really big and they are very efficient at getting you settled in. We did not wait too long but the wait was well worth it. Once seated our service was very good and helpful and explained the menu items. This really help us understand the tapas. We choose Cerveaeria because of the large list of Tapas. We sat at the bar and got to watch the chef make the dishs this was a nice treat. We started with some drinks I got a local IPA and my wife got a Tinto de Verano. We ordered several tapas. All were amazing. My favorite was the cod with honey. The oysters were awesome!

Flying solo and I'm not the most adventurous so it was wonderful to have this restaurant just a few blocks away from my hotel. Yes, there is a wait as other helpers have noted but I was there "early" around 7:30 so the wait was about 10 minutes max. I was seated at the counter and was able to see some of the cold items displayed. After ordering my sangria, my potato omelette with jamon arrived along with a seafood salad the dish sitting atop a slice of bread. The seafood is the imitation crab mixed with corn. Both items were very good. I especially enjoyed the omelette because of the tenderness in the preparation and seasoning. Being on vacation, salads are not always abundant so it was nice to order this salad with baby gem, fresh anchovies, tomatoes and strawberries. Very fresh and good. Fresh anchovies have none of the saltiness of the preserved version. A mini cheeseburger spoke to me as well as one more dish of veggies; shishito peppers. Everything was so good and I may come back tomorrow!

This is the first Spanish tapas restaurant that I went to in Spain. It was absolutely delicious and I think a hidden gem. I'm not very big on eggs, except to have them scrambled. When I sat down at the counter, the bartender said he would walk me through the menu And help me order the best items. When the potatoes came out with an egg on top before I could even say anything, he broke the egg and let it roll down over each crispy piece of the potatoes. It was absolutely delicious. The fish, the bread, the sauces everything was wonderful and I can't Encourage you enough to visit this restaurant when you go to Barcelona.

This place had a long line and takes no reservations, but the wait is often shorter than advertised and the food and service are well worth it. We got a wide range of tapas and LOVED the liver and steak open sand which bite. The highlighted dessert like a bread pudding was also divine. The drinks and environment made for a great night, especially when the roast suckling pig was pushed by.

If you're in Barcelona and looking for incredible tapas, Cervecería Catalana is the place to go! This spot is always buzzing with energy, and for good reason--the food is outstanding, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. While everything we tried was incredible, two dishes stood out: The mushrooms - Absolutely delicious! They were sautéed to perfection, bursting with rich, earthy flavors, and drizzled with just the right amount of olive oil and seasoning. The beef tenderloin tapas. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, these were some of the best bites of the night. They often come served on crusty bread with a touch of sauce, making them even more addictive. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this place is a must-visit for an authentic Barcelona tapas experience!

My foodie friend swears by this place--she ate here twice on her last Barcelona trip. With that endorsement, it was an easy choice for dinner after Casa Batlló. We kicked things off by ordering a bunch of random dishes, then kept going round after round. Two hours later, we were stuffed but happy. The servers were friendly, never rushed us, and were busy but always there when needed. We walked in at 6:30 PM and got seated immediately--by 8:30 PM, there was a crowd waiting outside. Lucky us! I won't list everything we ate, but here's what you must order: lobster rice, codfish with honey, padrón peppers, tuna sandwich, and--most importantly--dessert. The bread pudding is the best I've ever had, the three-texture chocolate is divine, and the churros? Perfection. Save room. You won't regret it. Best of all? The bill was under €80. In the U.S., this would've easily been over $150. It feels illegal.

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Cañete was booked out for 2 weeks straight, so we decided to risk it and see if we could get a spot as walk-ins; and were lucky enough to want less than 5 minutes before being sat at the "bar" in front of the open kitchen, which is honestly the best seat in the house IMHO. You get to see all the 'action' and interact with the friendly and often funny staff. Everything in the menu we tried was fantastic, but a few standouts for me were the squid sandwich (do yourself a favor and try it, even if you aren't a "squid person" the bread is fresh, and the butter garlic sauce they use should be sold in bottles at the supermarket), the lobster croquet was refreshing, and the aged beef steak with foie and truffle sauce was delicious and cooked to perfection.
