I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews and rumors I have heard from my mechanic, but since I had a very minor and easy repair to bumper to do, I thought it couldn't be that bad. After giving me an initial estimate, the price kept going up for one reason or another. classic scammy vibes. Cesar doesn't communicate well, speaks really fast when it comes to the mechanics of the work being done or the rational for increased cost. He did the work, and replaced the chrome fog light housing and put my bumper back into place. On the surface it looked good but as soon as I drove off, the parking sensors started spazzing out of control and buzzing non stop. He didn't take acocuntablility for this and claimed the sensors were damanged in the original fendor bender I was in, even though they worked fine when I brought the truck in. After an unpleasant argument, I got him to agree to replace the sensor but I had to buy a new sensor. I bought a new censor and brought the truck in to him. Waited the whole day and didn't hear a word, finally just took a lyft to his shop at the end of the day bc i needed my truck and he tells me its done right as he is closing up. As I drive off, the sensors continue to spazz out and malfunction. A simple bumper fix turned into 3 trips to his shop and even more problems. Totally done dealing with this guy, so now taking it to the dealership and gna pay even more for them to cover his work. Save yourself some money and terrible human energy and avoid this shop, thank me later. read more

This is my first review on yelp. I've been holding off on writing this and almost decided against leaving a review altogether, however, my life continues to be negatively affected for bringing my car to this establishment. I brought my car in to get looked at before a road trip as I wanted some peace of mind before driving a long distance. First off, I felt very out of the loop on what was going on with my car, I had to call every other day to get an update. On the third or fourth day of having my car, Cesar asked me why it was only going 20 mph, I told him that I had no idea, because it was running fine when I dropped it off (I drove it on the highway all the time at speeds of up to 75 mph), he disputed this fact with me, and I asked him if he test drove the car before he started working on it, he said no(?!?). He then implied that I was lying and said he was questioning my integrity. Internally I was livid, but I decided to keep my cool and remain patient and at his request I gave him more time, hoping that this was just a human error with an easy fix. However, after a few more days with no update, my friend and I showed up to the auto shop. Cesar was incredibly difficult to talk to, he rose his voice and kept speaking in circles saying the same mechanical jargon, doing nothing to translate it into laymens terms. His complete lack of ability to communicate respectfully was astounding. I've worked in the service industry for over ten years and I know first hand how difficult people can be, because of this, I make sure to be very conscientious when it comes to how I come across to others, never wanting to be rude or irrational. With all of this in mind, I decided to have him undo the little work he had done on my car. I paid him for the diagnostic tests and I left with a car that went into his shop FULLY FUNCTIONAL and left with one that now only goes 20mph. Thankfully I can ride my bike to work, but I can't imagine what I would have done if I was still working at the airport (I live in the Bywater), I wouldn't be able to pay my rent or my bills or make a living. As a woman, this is a nightmare scenario that I fear anytime I take my car to get looked at. Thanks for confirming my worst fears Cesar. So I really have a lot to say. I hate to give this place a 1 star because the things I have had done in the past were done well but this is about a year ago. Within the last six month I brought honda CRV to get a professional detail. I dropped the car off and did not hear a thing the entire day. Another day goes by - nothing. Third day goes by - nothing. I called the fourth day to check and Cesar insisted they were very busy and would get to it that day. So I heard nothing the entire fourth day. I called 30 minutes before closing and he said they were just getting to it. I received my car - cleaned- an hour past close. I paid almost 300 for a detail and and the console was still dirty, trunk still dirty, seat belt and under the seats dirty. I let it slip because I had trusted them in the past and was being sympathetic with being busy. The fact I didn't get one call though to tell me the first three days that he couldn't get to my car was plain awful. So I decided to give them another chance and brought my car Monday to have some strange sounds under the tire area checked. Cesar insisted they had an outage and couldn't do a diagnostic - bring it Tuesday am. I brought the car Tuesday around noon. He said drop it off and they will look at it again - give me a call. Again, heard nothing Tuesday - not even a curtious call to let me know he couldn't get to it. 7.1 am my fiance calls to check on the diagnostic check - still didn't get to it. Cesar insisted that they were short staffed the previous day and it was just him and one other there - though I saw two other people the previous day when I dropped it off. So I showed up to grab my car because I need the car and he was unable to even check it in a day and a half. I go to get in the car and he starts to take a video of me and the car saying "this is how she left the car". and said "people play me I have to do this" . This was honestly so violating and rude - on top of letting my car sit there for days without even letting me know that you could not get to looking at it or being kind. That was embarrassing and belittling after the amount of previous business I had done there. DO NOT go here. I felt this place has become extremely unprofessional - it's way too busy and they can't handle the business - no curtious calls to let you know the status update on how they're doing - your car will sit for days and days before anything. They also charge high diagnostic fees which are not worth it with the amount of work you will most likely need done. Unprofessional attitude and plain rude. The sweet tone of voice is fake - I hope you all try and be better. read more
