Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened again that same weekend. When I asked for a refund after two failed sets, they refused and just kept telling me to try a different technician. A couple of months ago, my wife had a pedicure with Lana and said she was very rough and aggressively cut down the sides of her toenails, removing far too much nail and cutting into the surrounding skin. During the appointment, my wife repeatedly told Lana that she was cutting too much and that it was painful, but Lana dismissed her concerns and responded, "It's okay" Since that appointment, my wife has experienced ongoing pain, inflammation, and damage to her toe. The condition became severe enough that she had to seek treatment from a podiatrist. According to the doctor, the aggressive pedicure caused damage to the nail bed, which resulted in the nail separating from the nail bed. As a result, the podiatrist had to remove approximately half of the nail. A customer should never leave a routine pedicure with a painful injury that requires medical treatment. This experience has been frustrating, painful, and costly. Based on what happened, I cannot recommend Lana and believe the salon should take this matter seriously to prevent another customer from experiencing the same outcome. read more

Very disappointing experience today. I went in for a pedicure and chose the Tropical pedicure (the more expensive option) with callus removal. Unfortunately, the job was done very poorly. As you can see in the photos, the nail polish was applied badly and unevenly. While she was doing it, I even asked her to please fix my calluses better, and she said she would, but she didn't. Before leaving, I told the manager I was unhappy with the service. The total was $50, and she only offered $5 off. I still tipped Tina $10, so I ended up paying about $55 for a pedicure that looks so bad I had to book another treatment somewhere else to fix it. This was a very frustrating experience. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place. If they keep taking customers' money and providing this kind of service, this place will not survive and will likely close soon. read more

While service and hospitality was good, the quality of the nails were very poor. I got a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure. It has been 9 days and all of my gel nails are peeling off. My mom got them as well and hers started peeling off in 4 days. It's incredibly disappointing to know that I spent $200 for poor quality that didn't last nearly as long as we expected them to be. I made an appointment at C'est Lamour Nail on Golden Valley Rd. for 5:45 PM for a hard gel manicure with Peter and a regular gel pedicure with Jenie. By 6:10 PM, I was still waiting for Peter. After Peter finished with the client he was working on, instead of taking me for my scheduled appointment, he moved on to another client. I asked the front desk what was going on since my appointment was at 5:45, and they told me Peter would be with me in another 20-25 minutes. They also told me they had squeezed someone else in. I understand that salons can run behind sometimes, but if they were going to squeeze someone else in and it was going to affect my scheduled appointment, they should have called me ahead of time or at least told me when I arrived. Instead, I sat there waiting with no communication until I asked. The girl at the front desk was also very dismissive, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. What's the point of making an appointment if it's not going to be honored? It felt rude and disrespectful of my time and they didn't try to make it right in any way. Very disappointing experience! UPDATE: After I emailed the owner, James, about my experience, he replied and had Amanda, reach out to me. Amanda explained that Peter was running behind because the customer before me kept changing her mind about her nail polish color...not because he'd squeezed someone in, as she'd originally told me (though she confirmed that did happen too, just wasn't the reason for the delay). She said she didn't mention this in front of the other customer because she didn't want to make her uncomfortable. The customer service here is elite! I needed a mani pedi and came here by accident. I booked the Valencia salon online for my services instead of the newhall one and the front desk took care of the error and had me taken care of immediately. I felt so bad but they al put me at ease. Including the nail technicians. They were clean, kind and efficient. They didn't make me bleed and I experienced no painful tugging. I didn't know you could park for free in the structure behind them. And I was able to pay with my debit card for My services. The nail techs let me Zelle them their tips too. I loved it! They left my natural nail atrocious!! I went about a month ago and the nail tech kept hammering her nail file into my nail bed, i ended up bleeding but didn't think much. Fast forward a month later and my nails were so grown out. I grabbed acetone and let them sit, they stung SO BADLY! However, the last few visits, they have been running incredibly behind, and what's worse is they just leave you sitting in a chair for upwards of 20 minutes! I do not have ingrown's and the next thing I know she has cut into both my sides of my toe and I just want to say I cannot wear my tennis shoes and it's been five days my two big toes are so infected I won't be coming back so please tell your manicurist that in school they don't learn that in school you learn to take a thin Emery board and if you slide the Emery board under the big toe if there is an ingrown it will come out you're not doctors you're a manicurist. I have been using "handsome Peter" for a few years now and he is the only person I trust on my nails. My nails never break or chip and he is very detailed and good at what he does. I'm Very impressed with how long the powder dip lasts and when I used to get gel with him, it lasted a long time as well with no peeling or chipping. The cost is equivalent to the quality of work and I recommend using Peter 10/10. read more

We were extremely impressed with their notification process. We called and booked an appointment for my husband and I to have a pedicure and manicure. We received a text to confirm the date and time of our appointment. We arrived for our appointment and promptly were greeted by the receptionist who led us to each of our chairs. She was extremely friendly and outgoing, we didn't get her name we were impressed with her professionalism. She coordinated which individuals would assist us. We were so impressed with the speed and the quality of the manicure and pedicure. There were 3 ladies that took care of us. We had an appointment at 1:00PM and we were finished by 1:30!! I'm really happy with my nails! Updated 1 week later: Sorry to say I've had to downgrade my review. My gel nails started peeling at the edges by Day 6. I wasn't doing any strenuous manual labor. In past experiences, I've had gel manicures last closer to 4 weeks with no chipping or peeling at all. (Obviously nail growth is inevitable.) I was very happy with the service and cleanliness of the salon. Great front desk customer service and nail technician did a great job. I went in to get a dip overlay and was very pleased with my nails however not even a week later I noticed my middle finger was starting to chip. Now a full week later and 4 more nails have chipped. I have never done a dip overlay so not sure what the normal wear is but I would think for $50 they should last longer than a week. I am very disappointed. I called the salon to book a same day appointment. I acknowledged the fact that I knew it was a holiday weekend and the schedule could be booked. The receptionist said "yeah, pretty much." That response wasn't clear so I tried to confirm again that they didn't have appointments. "Basically" and "pretty much" are not "yes" or "no." I went on the website to book one of two appointments that were available, one at 4:30 and one at 6pm. I booked the 4:30 and received an email that it was not confirmed. I called the location and was was told by the same receptionist that she saw the request come through for 4:45 (to which I confirmed it wasn't a figment of my imagination that the time had changed). She informed me that the computer/booking system has issues and they're still "pretty much" booked due to the holiday. When I asked about the 6pm appointment slot that was available online, she said they were not taking appointments beyond 5:30pm. All of this is incredibly frustrating and irritating. Of course, I understand that a holiday weekend can be busy. What's irritating is the lack of clarity and the disorganization around the booking process. It's all "basically" frustrating and I "pretty much" will think twice about booking again at this salon. read more
