Highly recommended!!! I found Chaya on Instagram when I was in my last trimester of my pregnancy. Before the photo session we spoke over the phone and I gave a her a few ideas on what I was looking for, she also sent out questionnaire to get a feel for what I was looking for. When we arrived at her studio she greeted us outside. Her studio is beautiful, stocked with fabrics, props for the session, soothing sound machine for the baby. She also snacks for the parents. We watched her work with our newborn, she was very gentle and patient as my little one didn't want to go to sleep for some of the pictures. She finally was able to put my daughter to sleep and capture amazing moments. She is the baby whisperer!!! Chaya is very accommodating! I'm a first time mom, military spouse, and living in the middle of nowhere (Mojave desert, to be specific). I was a little bummed to have my baby out here, but made it my mission to reconcile the terrible location with the very best newborn photos, and let me tell you. Chaya at CG was it. You start with a phone call, so she can get to know you, be up front about scheduling, investment, etc. That was when I knew, this lady was different. She cared, and wanted you to be comfortable and happy. Our session was more than I could have asked for. The studio is gorgeous and comfortable. My newborn fed probably 4 times, and Chaya was so patient, and we never felt rushed. The photo setups were perfect, and I was just so excited to see the finished product. Again, I live in the middle of nowhere, so Chaya made it so we were able to skype to review photos and make my selections. The finished products were even more than I had hoped, and brought this Mom to tears. Our product was of the highest quality, and our photos were gifted to everyone for Christmas- who all just fished over them. I spent months trying to find a newborn photographer for our first born. There are many to choose from, but few that would produce the quality of work I wanted. I chose CG Photography because I loved Chaya's lighting and editing style. She is truly talented at her craft and had many techniques to keep our little one happy. When scheduling a shoot, the entire day is blocked off for you, so there's no rush to finish. We had to stop the shoot four times to nurse and Chaya and her staff were completely patient and understanding. The shoot lasted 4 to 5 hours, but could have gone longer, if needed. She works around the baby's schedule! Leading up to the shoot, Chaya sends out a questionnaire to get a feel for your style and how you want your images to look. When you arrive at the studio, she's already prepared with fabrics and props she's going to use. We even brought a few of our props, which she incorporated into the shoot. Chaya is completely open to hearing your ideas and is available to make suggestions if you're not sure where to start. I sent her samples of what I like and what I must-have and she was able to accommodate most of the list. Parents are free to move around and watch Chaya work. The studio is stocked with snacks and beverages and areas to keep parents comfortable. The finished product was beautiful! We bought the digitals because we had a hard time finding a few favorites - we loved them all! If digitals aren't your thing, she has a variety of products you can choose from - prints, albums, etc. Just a testament to how talented Chaya is: I didn't wear any make-up except for lipstick and almost didn't choose an image of myself with my little guy because of that. I ended up choosing an image with myself in it and so glad I did because Chaya was able to edit make-up on me (without being asked to do so)! She tastefully added blush, eye make-up, and foundation. CG Photography is the MOST talented photography studio in LA!!!! ! I can't emphasize enough how professional our newborn session was. From the unique color schemes, props, backgrounds, to the sound machine for the baby, everything was smooth from start to finish.
