That band aid cost me 800.00. Fast forward 1 year and I called Gowland's dreading the cost. They sent out Art within a few days. I told him what the other company did so he took apart my outdoor unit, went upstairs in the attic and assessed the problem. He even called the manufacturer to check if my upstairs unit was still under warranty. Unfortunately, it was out of warranty for 8 months. (If I had called Gowland's the 1st time I would have saved a small fortune) Basically I needed a new upstairs unit and Art told me that the unit I had was a nice one but it was a little overkill for the size of my house so he recommended a smaller version. The salesman called me up(I believe he's also the owner) and gave me a price that was much lower than I expected. See this is the type of service that keeps companies in business. Pigs get fed and hogs get slaughtered. Gowland's was fair, not greedy. The next week, Art had the new unit installed and I had A/C for the 1st time in 8 months. Just in time for the summer. He took about 20 minutes to replace a 5.00 toilet ring and charged me 300.00. I asked him to look at sink which could not get hot water. looked under sink and said cold line was twisted. I gave him my own tie wrap to hold it up and he said , I am not going to charge you for the sink. Two weeks later the toilet started to wobble so called him back since he fixed it . He sent me a link to pay him 225.00. This was additional charge to fix the rocking toilet he put quarters under to level out. Of course I told him to forget coming back to fix his mistakes. WHAT A RIP OFF. Last plumber replaced entire sink for 100.00.... Make sure to check references or just ask Facebook. That was my mistake
