We had another great experience at Cha-Bones during Desert Storm weekend. We were a party of five with a baby, and the staff took great care of us from start to finish--even with how busy the city was. The service was on point, and our server, Taylor, was excellent--attentive, professional, and easy to work with. The food was outstanding. I ordered the T-bone, and it was cooked to perfection. One of the guys in our group ordered a filet and added a lobster tail on the side--he said the filet had great flavor on its own, and the lobster tail was one of the best he's ever had. This was our third or fourth time dining here, and it's been consistently great every visit. The restaurant is clean, well-run, and very professional--you can tell they take pride in what they do. This is now our favorite restaurant in Lake Havasu. Beth and the staff are all amazing. The food is the best. And Happy Hour runs until 6 PM and includes so many great tapas and drink specials. And it runs 6 days a week! It is always busy so make reservations. We spent my stepdad's 101st birthday here last week. He often goes there alone and they always treat him so special and take care of him. He can't see real well so they will tell him what's on the menu. And because he uses a walker, they always get him seated quickly. The food is truly great, from creativity to plating. Cha Bones was definitely the place to be on a Friday night--it was packed! We had a 5:45 reservation and were seated around 6:05, which wasn't bad considering how busy it was. Once we got to our table, our waiter greeted us quickly and was great about honoring happy hour pricing, which was a nice bonus. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and tempura vegetables to go along with our wine--both were flavorful and a great way to kick off the meal. For dinner, two of us shared the salmon, and I really appreciated that they allow you to split the plate with sides for each person. It made sharing easy without feeling like you were missing out. For dessert, we tried the bananas Foster and cheesecake. The bananas Foster was good, but didn't quite wow me. The cheesecake, however, was delicious and definitely the better choice to end the night. One thing to note--the dining area does get pretty noisy when it's full, so expect a lively atmosphere. Genuinely cannot beat this happy hour, like, at all. We ordered six tapas plates and every single one was delicious. I'm still shocked that we only spent around $50 total... truly insane in the best way. At that price point, you'd expect teeny tiny portions or food that's just "meh," but that couldn't be farther from the truth here. We tried the hummus, filet mignon, beef and chicken satay, chicken lettuce wraps, and the fried zucchini, and honestly, there wasn't a single miss. Everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and felt way more elevated than typical happy hour bites. The filet mignon especially surprised me (not something you expect to love at happy hour prices), and the variety made it perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything. Overall, this is hands down the best bang for your buck I've ever had when it comes to happy hour. Amazing food, generous portions, and prices that almost feel too good to be true. What a great surprise! You need to come from 3-6 pm during happy hour for half price tapas and $4 domestic beers and great deals on well drinks and house wine. The creole shrimp was my favorite, but also the shrimp cocktail, and oysters Chabones. The place was packed but we secured a small table at the bar and they were so fast with getting our drinks and orders, they even had the bar back taking orders! You know there's something special going on when you show up at a place at 3:30pm on a Monday and the place is already hoppin'. We got the last 2 seats at the bar. Let the tapas feast begin! We happened to be there for happy hour which makes small plates 1/2 off. For our first round we ordered oysters on the half shell, chili rellano (my personal favorite), beef satay, and stuffed mushrooms. Wow! Everything was really good. The oysters tasted fresh, the satay was on point, the stuffed 'shrooms were delicious, but the rellano, way over the top! Being an experienced rellano connoisseur, I would say this as one of the best I've ever had. And this isn't even a mexican place! Second round was seared ahi and ichiban. My beautiful bride exclaimed the ahi was her favorite. The ichiban was perfectly prepared. Service was outstanding. Wife enjoyed her margaritas (nothing fancy, just house). They don't have beer taps so I just enjoyed a couple of bottles of Miller Light. Being from the metro Phoenix area, I can say I've never had better tapas there (or from just about anywhere for that matter). Each steak was cooked as requested. The sides were also good. They offer an appetizer menu in which they do under happy hour on this menu for certain items during certain time of the day. Went here at the end of happy hour and our waiter, Jared (who is freaking amazing btw) put our order in quick enough before it ended. He had wonderful recommendations for dinner and drinks. I went with the Apple and Chicken curry dish which if I had a final meal on this God given earth, I'd pray it would be that. However, the place is Very loud, which made conversation difficult. The drinks were Fantastic. We had a Smoked old fashioned and a Long Beach iced tea. Both were unique and delicious. The food was very good. I had the ribs which fell off the bone. They came with a zesty bbq sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce, but my wife loved it. The Chef's potatoes were also very tasty. Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. We came in with no reservation and they made room for us right away. The menu was expensive. The two choices we made. We are so happy with. We've come to Cha Bones twice, both times on our birthdays. We take the ferry across and it's a short walk from the ferry to Cha Bones.
