Overall, the experience was good, but there are some definite training issues that they should work on. First of all serving pancakes without butter on, it seems like a small detail until you get the pancakes without butter on it. And you have to ask for butter and now the pancakes are not hot enough to melt the butter. Seems like not a big deal, but you're not the one eating it. The gal that sat us at our table had no personality, which also doesn't seem like a big deal, but she's just not in the hospitality business. I'm not saying she's got Shine her shoes, but a smile would be nice. Maybe she has having a bad day. The thing I ordered was a very fancy name for nachos which as a breakfast item is not my favorite thing. It would've been better with the steak on it, but I got the eggs and they really didn't go well with it, but that was what was offered steak, chicken or eggs. It was breakfast so I had eggs, but it was not a good call. I love the view of the water. It seems like they have done something about the flies, which have been a problem in the past, but I don't think I remember seeing a single fly. Nice job on that. Our actual waitress was nice, but as is the case in many restaurants recently she's not the one that brought us our food so when the food comes, we have to figure out who ordered what. Food: food is meh, but water view is 5-stars! Island Time Salad and Nauti Club Sandwich with onion rings instead of chips. You can get the sandwich with three slices of bread or two. Sandwich had too much onion and onion rings are better at Habit Burger. Salad was boring. Service: service was efficient and attentive. We were seated right away and checked on frequently to refill our water and to see if we needed anything else. Ambiance: we were seated right by the window with a great view of the Turtle Beach Bar outside (was too hot to eat outside at 112 degrees) and beautiful water views of the docked boats, jet skiers and mountains. We just stayed at the nautical beachfront resort for the first time over Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately, their breakfast menu at the turtle grill was not available. I had even called the hotel and the restaurant to ask about breakfast pricing since they don't post pricing on their online menu. It would have been nice if they mentioned this on the phone that they were only offering a breakfast buffet. The buffet was a bit overpriced, $25 for adults and $19 for kids. We would have probably planned something different for breakfast knowing this but my family of 4 was hungry so we just stayed for the breakfast buffet. What a find. Almost didn't come in because of the low stars which don't reflect this place properly. It's connected to my hotel and couldn't be more convenient. Looks like the bars would be fun too. Waitress Emily has been a rock star. The kind of friend you'd like to meet at the bar for a light hearted Sassy conversation. On top of service and knowledge. The avocado bacon omelette is amazing. Came in on a busier night for them about an hour before closing. Bailey, the hostess greeted me cheerfully and promptly starting my experience off with a smile. I had the pleasure of being served by both Tommy and Sage at the bar top. I got their veggie ramen which was absolutely delicious. Anthony the food runner delivered my ramen and made sure I had all the condiments and whatever else I needed.The broth was hearty, veggies were cooked to perfection with a little bit of a crunch left on them, perfection in a bowl. Busiest weekend of the year and the place is overwhelmed and understaffed WTF Upstairs bar was a S show and it wasn't even close to being full. Well I was skeptical to be candid given the previous reviews either being great or not so great. My family and I were out celebrating my fathers passing, so a group of about 20 of us needed a place that could accommodate. This place ended up top of the list. I'm so glad we went, the ambiance was nice with the water, but they should do something about the cafeteria style sitting options. The service was great even with such a large party, the food was nothing but amazing. We ranged from the Pork chop, the Rib Eye, the teriyaki chicken bowls, the tuna bowls, even the waffle fries and edamame were top shelf. Per our server, several people quit / didn't show up that day, so only four people were left to tend to the restaurant. Terrible for the customers, and even worse for the staff. The whole meal took forever, the food was sub-par, the servers genuinely tried, everything on the menu is at least $10 overpriced, and the view is the only redeeming quality. Good luck being acknowledged when you walk in. We tried this place 3 times over a 4 day weekend just because of the convenience of it being in the same resort we were staying at. It's mediocre bar food at best. The menu is so limited it's not worth the wait, though we were told the menu recently changed and used to be much better with more options. The new remodel was an epic FAIL. Why would you have tables in the sun with no umbrella??? Some tables had umbrellas, but most of them did not and with 100+ degree temperatures, that is beyond stupid - actually dangerous. The owners need to rethink the outside strategy and structure bc the season is just getting started. If they don't make shade improvements immediately, I will recommend to all family, friends & followers that they move past Turtle Grille for a more responsibly shaded establishment. I would avoid this place...it's a shame because the place has a great views. i had what was supposed to be a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I asked for extra crispy fries. The fries were cold and limp like they were left sitting for a few hours. The chicken sandwich was a real good piece of chicken killed by getting dunked in a sauce like Pete's red hot and topped with some mystery slaw or something. the bottom of my bread was soggy. whomever put this on the menu has never been to Nashville and had no clue how to properly make this sandwich. They did replace my fries and they were actually really good. Service ok however it appeared to be employee social hour at the bar cause they all congregate chit chat about there personal life and weather and couldn't even hear the tv. This went on my entire lunch. Prices are aweful. Over 7.00$ for a 16oz coors lite and a $17.00 for the sandwich. Really a disappointment all the way around. read more

After spending the morning at the pool in 110 degree heat, my friends and I decided that we needed to get into the a/c for lunch. We were seated at a table overlooking the outdoor beach and it looked really nice, if only it were about 30 degrees cooler. I decided to order the French dip with fries and a side of ranch. The sandwich had potential but had a few too many fatty bits for my liking. I ended up with a pile on the edge of my plate by the end of the meal. Aside from that, the meal wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. At $20 with tax and tip, it was a bit overpriced for what it was. I rarely finish an entire sandwich at a meal but this one was smaller than expected and I wasn't even overly full. When a couple of my friends decided to return to this restaurant for lunch the next day, I decided that I'd rather maximize my time in the pool and snack on all of our leftover goodies from the weekend on our car ride home.
