This was our second time dining at Oxcido, and it was every bit as impressive as our first visit. We came with my wife, daughter, and two granddaughters, and once again the food, service, and overall experience were outstanding. I ordered the ribeye, and it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the enchilada plate, and she couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. The fresh chips with the three homemade salsas were also excellent and a great way to start the meal. Our waiter was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down until we left. What really set Oxcido apart was the owner, Rusty. He stopped by our table twice. The first time was just to introduce himself and make sure everything was going well. The second time, I asked him to come back because I wanted to personally compliment him and his chef. The quality of the food, presentation, and attention to detail were exceptional. It's obvious they take great pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. I noticed a few reviews mentioning the prices. Oxcido is not your typical Mexican restaurant--it's a chef-driven dining experience. They use high-quality ingredients, the presentation is beautiful, and the flavors reflect the skill of a true chef. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and an exceptional dining experience, and in my opinion, it's worth every penny. This was our second visit, and the experience was just as exceptional as the first. Consistency says a lot about a restaurant, and Oxcido has definitely earned our business. If you're visiting from out of Town. Don't come here. You won't be Welcome !!! I came to Havasu to celebrate my daughter 37th birthday made reservation here for a party of five. Arrived on time. Immediately walking in the hosted looked at us and didn't greet us walked away to the kitchen area near the hosted stand.we waited for several minutes wonder why no one would come and greet us. I saw 4 ladies and two guys standing around together in kitchen area. I thought it was very odd and unprofessional for a restaurant to make your customer wait and walk right by them,like they didn't exist. After 10 min of making us wait she (hostess) walked to us and said she couldn't serve us and we could sit outside in the patio in the 107 degree heat I asked why if we had reservations. She claims there no power (interesting) when I could feel the air conditioner on and some lights were on . I walked over to the bar area and tons of people there and all the lights were on no problem. Here what I realize ,we were Mexicans ............ Trying to eat in a racist restaurant........ Shame on them . Considering it a Mexican restaurant they won't serve Mexicans. What message does that give. My young adult daughters had to experience racism for the first time. Don't they know we bring business to local places to keep them alive. We have money just like anyone else. Took our business elsewhere and had delicious dinner. My husband and I absolutely love Oxido. As a vegan my choices are very limited in Lake The Havasu City but Oxido makes it a pleasant experience. The food is next top level delicious. I am able to have rice which is a rare for LHC. I usually get the cauliflower tacos, rice, and black beans. Everything is labeled plant based. They also have a plant-based desert sorbet. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. I have been at Oxido countless times each time it's an enjoyable experience. As a vegan sometimes these situations can give a person anxiety but never with Oxido. Also the tortilla trio chips and salsa is scrumptious! Oxido deserves ten stars in my book. I do recommend making reservations I am told by the staff guaranteed having a spot every time. I would love a cake or pudding type dessert with a plant-based option as a suggestion. After hearing a lot of positive reviews, I wanted to give this place a try with my husband. We went on a Saturday night and, upon walking in, were told there was a large party, so we had to sit by the bar. The bartender, who was already extremely busy, ended up waiting on us. There were no complimentary chips and salsa. We ordered right away and started with the chips and guacamole. The guacamole had absolutely no flavor it tasted like plain mashed avocado. The chips were large, hard circular shells that you had to break apart to eat, which was very odd. There were also barely any of them not nearly enough for the portion of guacamole. We finished it in about two seconds. We then waited about an hour for our entrées. The waitress did come over and apologize, and I told her we were starving since those few chips didn't hold us over. She brought out more chips, but they had a strange seasoning on them. After waiting so long, our food finally arrived and it was cold. It honestly felt like it had been sitting there and no one had time to bring it over. The menu itself was also confusing. I understand they're going for a modern, upscale Mexican concept, but it didnt make sense. It's not quite Mexican. The portions are small. My husband wanted carnitas but ended up ordering flank steak because there was nothing else on the menu he could understand. He thought it came with fries, but instead got tiny fried tortilla strips that resembled crispy onions he didn't even eat them. I ordered three tacos, which were nothing special. Overall, the experience was really disappointing, especially after hearing such great things. If they want to last in Lake Havasu, they really need to rethink the menu. Was in town for a training and found this place for dinner. What a treat! Shared a Caesar salad and the hangar steak, and I must say they were both delicious. The steak was cooked just as requested and was tender, juicy, and the chimichurri was plate-licking worthy! Also indulged in the butter cake for dessert which my pants found distressing but it was worth it. Service was attentive but not pushy. At first glance you might think "expensive" but I rather spend 10% more for great quality and big portions. Service was 10/10. We finally tried Oxido for dinner Sunday night and it was SO good. We live in Southern California where there is no shortage of great Mexican food, but the Chile Relleno and black beans were some of the best I've ever had! The depth of flavor in the red sauce, and the fresh, light, airy texture of the relleno were perfection. The margaritas also really stood out as being handmade and fresh. We drove in from Los Angeles to visit friends, and Oxido was easily the highlight of our weekend. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I'd like to start off by saying WOW! My husband and I went to celebrate his birthday, I made a reservation a few days ago, super easy! When we arrived the atmosphere was amazing, they really outdid themselves with the ambiance and decor! The hostess was so nice, we waited about 30 seconds for our table. Once sat, we were greeted right away with Chris! He gave us the restaurant breakdown, recommend the top favs, & quickly brought our drinks! My husband got a really yummy margarita, & I had an iced tea with some of their fresh pressed mango juice! We overheard so many people recommending what they were eating to the table next to theirs, it was awesome to hear. We started out with their Elote.. OMG it was absolutely delicious! My husband got the Ribeye with mashed potatoes & I got the cheese enchiladas (Christmas style) with both enchilada sauces & a side of brussel sprouts! We ended the night very full, but still made room for their butter cake! So yummy! We couldn't help but say how amazing and delicious it was after each bite! TRULY impressed! I'd like to say, this has been probably one of the best meals hands down we have had since moving here 3 years ago!
