On June 9th of 2023, I made a day trip to Point Roberts and back through Canada. After that, I stayed at the Northwoods Motel and decided to get Thai takeout. I ordered a wonton soup with pork strips and a chicken Pad Thai. All of the food was excellent. I was especially impressed with the Pad Thai where the sauce was very flavorful. The chicken, vegetables, and noodles were cooked to perfection. I may have liked this more than all the Thai restaurants I've dined at in my residential state of Colorado. Making the phone order was very easy. The food was ready in 20 minutes. Picking up and paying was quick and simple. The restaurant itself was nice with Al the cool, traditional Siamese decor. Actually, this place is a good excuse for Canadians to travel to the US for lower gas prices. They can stop for dinner here, and tell customs that their trip was a night out for dining at this delicious Thai restaurant. read more

Craving some Thai food, We decided to try Chada Thai in Blaine. I was able to order through a takeout window and waited only a few minutes for some of the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. The mixed seafood pad Thai was full of fresh mussels, shrimp and other deliciousness and at spice level 3, the perfect amount of heat. It was a large portion, enough for 2 dinners. My partner ordered the spicy beans and thought the beef was tender and also worth a return for another order in the future. Friendly service and everyone was wearing a mask. read more

Great Authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices with a spectacular waterfront view. The restaurant is fairly spacious inside with various booths and table tops. All decorated with a Thai theme, being carried throughout. There is plenty of free parking. The food has been cooked by people born and raised in Bangkok! No Mexicans here, not that there is anything wrong with people south of the border cooking Thai or Asian food, it just is a rare situation nowadays in the PNW to have cooks who are from the place the owners are from also. I mean how many Teriyaki joints have Korean owners with Mexican cooks, right? But you can tell the difference. I regularly eat Thai food in Seattle and Bellevue, and I can tell you none of those places come even close. We ordered the following: Coconut Shrimp Fried Calamari Chicken Pad See Ew Eggplant Delight Fried Banana and coconut ice cream All of that came out to only 45$!!! And it was all hella good, that the only pic we got was of the dessert. Only minus one star, they seems to be slightly understaffed and the food can be sitting under the warmer versus straight out of the kitchen and not piping hot. Who knew there was some authentic Thai cuisine just across the border only a short drive away! Chada Thai has a beautiful location which boasts a view of the coast. Family run restaurant with friendly staff. My boyfriend and I have come here twice for lunch and each dosh we've ordered has always been delicious. The Pad See Ew with thicker noodles was chewy and the sauce was sweet and savoury. The Pad Thai seemed to have a similar sauce and wasn't sour as some of the other pad thai I've had but it was nonetheless really good. The chicken is always tender and there is a decent amount. My boyfriend loves the amount of spice they have in their dishes - lots of good chili and basil flavours. Lunch specials are during the weekdays, and the difference is it's a $1 cheaper than the regular prices. Randomly stumbled in here because we were across the border and really felt like Thai food. You can't miss this place because of their huge sign and it's only building on that side of the road. The regular menu is only $1 more than the lunch menu and way bigger, so you might as well get the full item. We started with the Crab Rangoon's and spring rolls. Both were really good and really hot & fresh! Then we ordered pad Thai and cashew chicken. Both were really good but the cashew chicken was the star. Both dishes were sweeter than I was used to but still delicious. We will most likely be back if we are ever feeling Thai food across the border! read more

There aren't a ton of choices to eat in Blaine but Chada Thai would rank at the top in any city in Washington. We had two types of noodles, one with chicken the other with tofu and both were succulent and the portions were really good. We ordered the fresh rolls with tofu which were a bit on the petite side but the peanut sauce was a delight. Service was competent and friendly, despite a huge line of folks waiting for their take-out. These folks work hard to provide good food and we appreciate their efforts. read more

BEST fried rice anywhere! I frequent this quaint restaurant quite frequently, and have never been disappointed. I tend to stick with what I like, but when I venture to try new things, I don't regret it. I love the chicken fried rice here (I ask for extra egg) and the Crab Rangoon is delicious. I've had the Panang Curry, which is always terrific. When you really want to do it right, try their Thai Iced Tea with coconut milk...it's such a creamy and delicious refreshing treat! We live in Blaine and go here whenever we have Thai yearnings. Their Pad Thai is the best we've ever had, if it seems a little dry to you, just ask them for a little extra peanut sauce on it. It's a large serving that my husband and I split. I tell them to leave the bean sprouts off because I know they are not good for people. They also have the most delicious crispy eggrolls ever! You will not be disappointed here, we have never had to wait for a table and the service is excellent. You will not be disappointed. So yummy! read more

Ownership is very kind and accommodating. I came in at 8:55 when they were closing at 9:00 and they did not even roll an eye. I ordered the Massaman Curry with pork and chicken along with extra gravy. It came out piping hot, full of meat and vegetables, and perfectly cooked. It was delicious. I also ordered a chicken satay appetizer and it was equally perfect and spiced just right. If you want a wonderful meal that you can feel good about ordering in Blaine (or anywhere for that matter) this is the place to go. We were out walking and looking for a place to eat so we walked up to their take-out window and were about to order when we saw the kitchen staff with their masks below their chins hanging over the food they were preparing. Dirty place. During covid right now restaurants should be taking the highest precautions. I wonder how they treated the food before Covid. Just unsanitary. Pretty good food with very good service. My companion and I had fresh spring rolls and the Eggplant Delight with tofu. It was fresh and perfectly flavored. The sauce was a little sweet but not overly so. I'd go back and likely order the same thing. The waitress was very nice when my companion sent our meal back on account of receiving shrimp, which it normally comes with. He hadn't noticed it in the description. They substituted tofu with no problem and didn't charge extra for the error. read more

A quick stop at the border town for lunch. This seems to be a nice convenient place with a good ocean view except they do need a make over inside. Food quality and plating were slightly above average so was the price, but the service was loucy. The wait person was not responsive with a cold face. I should call him an order taker instead. Great experience eating here with the in-laws. It is conveniently located just across the border on the U.S. side. We often travel to Canada and it is good to know there is good food so close by. Service was incredibly prompt. Our waitress was very young, and a little inexperienced, but she made up for it in kindness. It was obvious she cared about us, even if she was a little awkward at times. We all have to start somewhere right? We ordered pad thai, a sampler platter, pad see-ew, and the swimming rama. Everything was delicious, but not very spicy. We asked for a spice tray so we could add a little heat to the dishes. I ordered a 3 out of 4 stars and there was no kick. I would much prefer having something be not spicy enough than too hot to handle so it worked out okay. Our dishes were bussed almost at the exact moment we were done with them. I believe it was one of the owners who was milling around clearing dishes while checking in with tables. He was very kind, but I felt slightly rushed, even though there were only three other tables sat. I asked my husband how he felt afterwords and he thought it was great, so it could have just been me. We will definitely go back. I look forward to trying some of the more adventurous dishes on the menu. I always get the same thing when trying out a new Thai place. read more

We come here every time we're in Blaine to pickup a package. I love their shrimp pineapple fried rice and Thai ice tea! The fried rice have a curry flavour to it that makes it really good. Great location and a nice view of the water especially when you're sitting by the window! read more

Love love love this place! My dad claims to not like Thai food but this is our second time there and he absolutely loved everything he's had! Our first visit was with friends and we all shared around several dishes and appetizers and everything was amazing. This time dad ordered the BBQ chicken and we were stunned when it came to the table - a huge portion, cooked perfectly - moist and tender, yet with a crispy charred BBQ crust that was amazing. We realized when our dishes were delivered that we had enough food for four people - but that was fine with us since we both took our leftovers home and will enjoy another fabulous meal! Our meals came out quickly and steaming hot. Both dishes were presented beautifully, too. The restaurant was clean and well kept and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't more busy until I realized there was a constant stream of takeout orders going out the door. I enjoyed sitting in the restaurant because of the beautiful view of the harbor and the nice cozy environment on a cold night. Coming from out of state from a wide diversity of ethnic food it is really hard to find any authentic ethnic food in this area. These guys however have nailed it. We are visiting from Seattle and ordered a variety of dishes to try. Pleasantly surprised, we loved everything. My daughter said their beef and broccoli was the best she's had (minus the carrots )! The Tom Yum soup was perfect - flavorful and not too spicy (we got a 2). The beef salad, pad Thai, eggplant, garlic chicken and panang curry were all excellent - very authentic and delicious!
