The prices are steep as each sushi roll is about $20+. The food tasted delicious, and there is also live music from Thursday to Sunday! HOLY MOLY SUSHI-ROLLY!!!! I totally did not understand the restaurant name until the arrival of our sushi to the table. It was MONSTEROUS!! I would recommend ordering 1/2-1/3 you usually order. It's so big you will need to lift weights for a week before to pass your plates! This is an entertainment experience. I give a 4+ for entertainment. It is sensory overload, in a good way. Who doesn't want Lisa the robot to bring you your food? The piano live entertainment was great and the decor takes you to a "land" Disney never knew it needed. Service was great and friendly. The sushi size was great but I felt the quality was not as great. It may be the fact that on such a large scale the flavors don't mix as well. I did not like the roll with the smoked salmon either, I would much rather have a quality fresh salmon. The "cherry" roll with scallops, I did not see scallops, I think they were minced? It was very nice having free soups and free soft serve dessert. That certainly added to the value. The sour soup has too much vinegar in my opinion, go with the miso its much better altho did not taste quite traditional (darker broth). All in all, everyone should go here at least once for the experience! Oh and as last mention, the menu is huge!! If you don't like sushi or even asian they have hamburgers and even pizza on request! Best place ever. The free soup is amazing especially the hot & sour. My daughter wants me to send her some in the mail to Montana. The owner is amazing and his wife is also so wonderful! The inside is so great in many ways with all of the lights. It can be fun, romantic or cozy. Whatever you want it to be. The robot servers are so fun to watch!! I'm not a big sushi fan but my daughter and friend love the sushi. I love the beef fried rice probably best I've had along with sesame chicken and generals chicken. read more

Don't belive the 4 star rating! We found this place from Google (4.7 stars there) because its off the highway and we were driving home from Canada. To start the decor is frightful, with tons of neon lights in the windows, many screens inside and the very odd touch of a live piano player. The service was just fine, although the food robot was disconcerting. We ordered tempura shrimp, gyoza and sushi. The free soup that comes first was super salty and otherwise flavorless. The sushi was damn near inedible. The rice was not sushi rice, so it fell apart easily. All the food tasted like licking salt. To add insult to injury, the food was quite expensive (think $30 sushi roll). If you must stop to eat, Bob's burgers is better. read more

Very nice staff. Great salmon sashimi. My roll was good. I got the Philly roll fried. Only issue is I asked for raw salmon and they forgot. Still ate it though! The best part was the ambiance. It was such a fun place with lights and signs and I guess they have live music other nights. Huge alcohol and wine selection which was very cool. There are fun things all over if you look around. I love Japanese food and was surprised they had amazing sashimi selection - Aji, Saba, Toro, Uni, everything and it was excellent! And I had actual Udon as well. They pulled out all the stops with this place, and we felt the Omotenashi as they gave us ice cream as we left - good for my 11 year old. We came during the soft opening on Valentines Day and it was very busy. They are still figuring stuff out, but they did a great job overall. Food was delicious, and so was the ambiance ! The owner came by and checked in on very table to make sure everyone was satisfied. The live piano music player is fantastic! Looking forward to coming by for their weekend jazz nights. read more

So, I had monster sushi, but I didn't actually have a monster sushi. My big disappointment with monster sushi is that there weren't any monsters. There was a cool robot that brought our food though, but it's not robot sushi, it's monster sushi. We had yakisoba and the consensus is that it was delicious. We'll give it two thumbs up. We had the bibimbap which was pretty fabulous. Had the spider roll which was fantastic. You'll notice that there's also a picture of a Chihuahua, which is weird - maybe for a Mexican restaurant that would be solid, but I would expect maybe like a cat for a Japanese restaurant - a white one waving at me. Anyways, a roving Chihuahua popped up on our booth and hung out with us for a little bit. Super super sanitary. I'm sure. But I would recommend Tokyo monster sushi, just don't expect to find a monster. read more

I mean...the name should've clued me in. The sushi roll tasted good but WAY TOO BIG for eating normally. You'd need both hands to get this into your mouth with any grace or cleanliness. No wonder the server asked if I needed a fork when she dropped it off. A good 3-4 inches wide and took 5-6 bites total, but everything fell apart after the first bite. I love sushi and would have found this much much better if it was just a smaller width roll that I could eat with chopsticks in 1 to 2 bites. You know, like normal sushi! Perhaps a smaller size would mean they could also lower the prices down to something more palatable. $24 for a specialty roll is something I expect from sushi master chefs in Seattle. The gyoza appetizer was delicious. I'm overall just confused by this place and probably won't be back. They have steak dinner special? Baklava for dessert? What exactly is their specialty? read more

I've paid a lot less for a lot better elsewhere. I got the scallop roll which was $22 and it had 1-2 pieces (not whole) of scallop. About 50% of the roll was imitation crab (which is over processed fish), 25% was rice, and the rest was a skinny piece of cucumber and then a thickly fried shrimp. It was further destroyed with oodles of two different sauces. The restaurant is also experiencing a major identity crisis. There are paintings of sail boats, Kenny G music, Italian style bricks throughout, and other miscellaneous decor. It seems like someone had a dream to open a restaurant and just incorporated every single idea at the same time. But it doesn't make for a great customer experience. read more

Since even before they opened, I have been hearing rumors about this place good, bad, strange.. I am not a fan of sushi so I never thought I would come here but that all changed tonight as daughter and son in law are visiting and they love sushi so we decided to visit. Very nice place inside...and a jazz pianist played the entire time we were there. We sat in a window booth and were seated immediately. It was not crowded. My daughter and her husband are pretty critical and they loved the sushi!!! There is actually a lot of other items other than sushi on the menu so no worries if you are not a fan of sushi. My husband had the chicken teriyaki and he is NOT hard to please and he would NOT order that again (and this is why I knocked a star off). I had ramen and it was very good. Our waitress, Olga was super! Very charming and I would say the best thing about our experience tonight was the service! Not only Olga but the bus boy was very hard working and an excellent communicator. I would definitely recommend. We are lucky to have such an interesting and unique restaurant out here in this part of the county. read more
