Food is okay for what it is but I the workers act like customers are an unnecessary annoyance. Last visit I stood in front of the cashier and two staff members walked between me and the counter, didn't look at me, didn't say anything, no acknowledgement. went early for my lunch today - 11:48 or so Surrey across from Princess Auto - I had the Ginger beef lunch bowl - veggies rice and the stingiest meager three string pieces of beef ever - if it were much less - it would qualify as Vegetation. I know it's just cold bits tossed in a bowl and reheated but my god it was just a couple bucks under $20 and there's no room in the budget to give me some protein eh. I stumbled upon this place while looking for dinner options in Langley, BC. It was located next door to my usual Chipotle stop. So, I thought to give it a try. Noodlebox is a 'Chipotle-like' chain featuring Asian-inspired noodle dishes in which one chooses a sauce/style, a noodle variety, protein, and the desired heat. I went with the Japanese style Teriyaki box with the recommended noodles with Steak at medium heat. On the side, I ordered one vegetable spring roll. There was a long wait for the food, but it was packaged up nicely and hot. The spring roll was nothing special, but it was excellent as a snack. The noodles were still hot when I arrived at my hotel room. It has a nice flavor with just the proper spicy heat - and overall, the dish was tasty. I only gave them three stars as I paid extra for Steak, and there were only about four pieces of Steak and a few vegetables among the piping hot noodles. It was tasty, and I was hungry. But I was disappointed in the amount of protein. It may be a hit-or-miss place depending on when you go and what you order. I don't think the value is there for what you pay - I will pass it by next time. read more

I was on my way home from a weekend in Vancouver and still hadn't checked noodles off my food list. We stopped in Richmond but I'd forgotten nobody takes credit cards there, and I was running low on Canadian cash. So I hopped on trusty ol' Yelp and found Noodlebox just down the highway...and I'm SO glad I did! My friend and I were greeted immediately by the super friendly owner, who walked us through how their menu works and offered some suggestions. I quickly spied one of my all-time faves, Tom Yum Soup, and ordered it with three "stars" (here it's flames) of spiciness. It was super spicy - just like I wanted. But not only was it spicy, the Tom Yum broth was one of the best I've ever had. It was rich, complex, and full of signature Thai flavors. Nestled within were a variety of veggies, tender chunks of chicken, and (of course) noodles. My friend ordered the peanut sauce based noodle box which she also reported was excellent. We each enjoyed a pint of local craft beer and left with full tummies. We're currently plotting our return to Noodlebox. It's just over the border, after all! read more

Definitely our favourite noodle stop and now we are keto, they still have the food we like to eat. Recommended is the Singapore Curry Box or the Buddha Bowl and of course, with spiralized zucchini noodles. I truly still like the Malaysian Hokkien noodles better. Nice local owner and friendly staff. Happy hour beer is .16 oz., nice, with 3 different tap choices. I have been a big fan of this Noodle Box since February 2018, and have been there many times. Terrible and so expensive for terrible food. We paid $16 for each box and both were terrible. The Spicey peanut box wasn't just bad it was gross. I eat a lot of questionable things (food that's been left out too long etc) and this I could not stomach. It was the one that looked the best but the most disgusting. The Cambodian Jungle curry box was super dry in comparison to the picture and not even the same colour. Flavour wise it was bland and 100% not worth the $$$. Even with a $10 discount on a $14 dish, this food is overpriced and disappointing. The black bean and garlic "box" with beef was a garlic-free, flavour-free inferno of curdled oil-coated noodles bobbing with lurking streaks of beanless sauce, and scabbed with several specks of rubbery grey beef, looking like nothing so much as the bucket under a field-hospital operating table -- and tasting like one, too. If you're craving noodles and have no time to cook, but remain minimally interested in eating tasty, aromatic food in a pleasant environment, I advise you to pick up any jar of cheap Asian sauce and pre-cooked packaged noodles to heat up in the microwave at home. The result will be several orders of magnitude superior to any Noodlebox "box", and the environment will be superior, as well. read more

I was initially a little shocked at the price at this place. It came two 28.88 with two bowls of noodles and a bottle of pop. The options were not cheap either.. there was no meat and you had to pay 3 dollars for chicken.. and I didn't feel there was much. However, what surprised me was the noodles. Not too strong in flavours.. just right. Portion of noodle was good. It was cooked just right and very tastey. Would I go again? Maybe if the price was a bit better. This Noodlebox is AMAZING. The staff are awesome and the food is made fresh to order every single time. The ingredients are always fresh and the food is piping hot. We eat here more than I'd like to admit because we know what we're getting every time, they are consistent and they're our first choice when we are thinking about eating out in South Surrey. 5+ stars, great quality, always clean inside and well stocked with condiments, etc. If you're looking for one of the best restaurants maybe ever, try this Noodlebox. The options were not cheap either.. you had to pay 3 dollars for chicken.. and 2 dollars for tofu.I didn't feel there was much.

Great location, good food and value. Butter chicken with naan bread, two thumbs up. Ample serving of chicken and rice, made for a great meal. The food is terrible. Waited over 20minutes. Spent over $30 for two noodle bowls. Barely any meat. I ordered a vindaloo Mac and cheese. The noodles were so soggy, the sauce was definitely not vindaloo. It tasted like a watered down powdery coconut curry sauce. The other meal was ginger black bean noodle bowl with beef and chicken. The beef was hard as rock, chicken was barely visible. I'll never go back. For a few dollars more go across the street to My Shanti and you get great flavourful food made by a famous chef. I have heard really good things about this company and their food especially in terms of the quality of ingredients. I was under the impression that it was "high end fast(er) food so I was pretty excited when I saw we were getting one within walking distance! I really wish that they would have taken their time in opening however, I have had two awful experiences and I will not be giving them a third try. The first time I went in with my young son for a quick lunch as we were both starving. They were having problems with the venting system so it is SO loud. I asked for an approx time to wait for food and was told 10 minutes, I knew we could wait that long. I tried to order 2 different appies and they were out of each so I just settled for noodles for each of us. It took close to 25 minutes for us to get our food. I got my son the kids noodles with chicken, it was actually swimming in the sauce and my add on chicken was maybe 2-3 pieces. I got the Kung Pao extra spicy... It was ok, lacking flavor and not spicy. I just said I wouldn't order it again. They did just open so I felt I should give them another chance. I went back a week and a half later, the venting is still having problems so again, it is SO loud. The wait for the food was really long again. I ordered the ginger beef gyoza which unfortunately they were in stock with this time. They were cold, obviously previously frozen and again, no flavor at all and the sauce did nothing for them. This time I ordered the spicy peanut noodles, extra spicy and a beer. They "are out of beer" (why did they open if they don't have things set up properly??) Like anyone I enjoy good food. We eat alot of good Asian food so I have high standards (I've also worked in restaurants so I tend to notice a bit more but if I'm starving like I was both times visiting here, I'll eat whatever. These peanut noodles were quite possibly the grossest dish I have ever had. I had 2 bites and threw the rest out. I hope that this was just poor opening that will be ironed out and they will eventually be a successful location. read more

Excellent food every time! My favourite is the Mac and cheese with an Indian flavor... great spices with paneer cheese! So good! All other dishes are loaded with fresh vegetables and are good portion sizes! Love the pad Thai! Always enough to take home for a late meal. Food came fast and hot.
