When I called their customer service office, they claimed they sent a letter, which I did not receive. I requested that they cancel the policy immediately, but the representative said they couldn't. They would have to mail a cancellation form for me to sign & said they would request a refund, but probably would NOT get one. This is a sneaky underhanded company out to get your money no matter what. They don't want to cancel the policy & won't refund the money they are actually stealing from me. And, they have not stopped taking my auto pay, though they said my policy will be automatically closed upon settlement of the claim. I'm afraid to stop the auto pay before I have a check in my hand. Someone lost their bonus when I insisted they accept further documentation of my illness.
