Located on the 5th floor, Loft 5900 offers a kitchen, uplighting, slide shows, restrooms in the hallway, sofas, and cocktail style tables. I assume depending on the type of event you're having, depends on the furniture that's provided. We were going through a bit of a heat wave when this event occurred, so it was hot and humid to the ultimate outside. When we entered into the building it was even hotter. Literally no air was circulating in the building or on the elevator. I was a bit worried that the venue was going to be that warm too, but thankfully it wasn't. Not sure if it's like that normally, but I hope that issue gets addressed because it was truly uncomfortable. The venue itself is a cute and intimate space. It does give you the feel of a loft - hardwood floors and a chic flow, but the entryway is a bit dated and only one elevator was working that evening. It's a pretty cool option for a venue/space for an event. I think it would be perfect for a baby shower, wedding shower, cocktail party or something on a smaller scale. I'll put this on my list for future venue options, hopefully it just won't be during a heat wave.

It's more intimate so the space isn't as open but it's nice. It has the vibe of a club or lounge, which would be great for younger and non traditional banquet hall people. Great for birthday parties, baby showers, retirement party, pretty much any party. I would not recommend for a wedding reception unless the guest list is small. This is only because the space is smaller. There are two floors. The bottom floor looks like where food is usually served and the upstairs is the bar and dance floor. I don't think this setup could work for a large wedding reception since the meal is usually served to everyone together and the downstairs space would not be big enough for everyone to dine together. I also noticed how this place allows outside catering. Not sure if they cater themselves but this is nice and may be an inexpensive option for those looking for a venue to rent where they may want to bring their own food. I would love to throw a party here in the future.

(Yesssss $10 for valet ... unheard of in Philadelphia) walking into the venue I was pleasantly surprised, the venue size is more of an intimate space and it's GORGEOUS. The decor is very modern (leather furniture, spectacular chandeliers, gorgeous flower arrangements and a beautiful bar area) The staff (the owners, doorman, valet, bartenders and cleaning crew) were all extremely accommodating, they went above and beyond to ensure the party was a phenomenal success.

My only 'complaint' would be the sound system. The podium and microphone give feedback at weird variations. If you're not close enough: feedback. If you turn the volume DOWN: feedback. It's weird. Anyway, it's still a sizable location and pretty easy to get to. It's not far from US 29, but far enough away to be quaint and cozy (though the exterior doesn't really evoke this feeling). Great place for an office event, or probably an event of any kind.

Cherry Hill Park is an RV park of sorts - but it has this banquet facility that is available for rent. Ballroom area, kitchen, bathrooms, side rooms for whatever - great facility! The one down side is that the building's cooling system is taxed when you get a whole lot of people inside carrying on - I had to step outside several times to cool off a bit.

We were all seated very comfortably and the wait staff stayed on top of table top clearing. The food here was really good, we did more of a second Thanksgiving. We are a Korean and American work family so we often have to meet in between to keep everyone happy. The children ran around with balloon pets and enjoyed getting their faces painted while chowing more on Korean snacks than real food. The adults mingled and enjoyed the open bar. As the evening came to a close I thought I would treat myself to a juicy mandarin. As I stand in the lobby tossing it from one hand to the other, my boss's little daughter walked up to me with full arm extended and fingers stretched, in the most cutest gesture, signaling that she wanted it.... How could I resist, no mandarin for me.

The social area was good but the bartender ran out of the nonalcoholic specialties as well as clean glasses, therefore had to use our glasses for refills. The soup; chicken corn chowder served with a puff pastry topping was very good and not overly hot where you could jump in and eat. The entree wasn't too desirable but satisfied the hunger. We had the stuffed hen breast, crab cake, mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. The crab cake was dry and not seasoned served with cocktail sauce which was a no no! It would have been better with a lemon dill or hollandaise sauce. The stuffed hen was dry too and last season. Now I will say our event was delayed due to the weather which could cause food to be dry but the lack of season that was caused by not adding enough. The desserts were pretty good. I had a bite size chocolate mousse ball and small slice of strawberry shortcake, sorry no pictures of the desserts. Overall good experience.

Find a good event space can be quite the feat, so maybe this review will help others make their decision. The venue is located on a busy street in Glen Burnie, not to far from the community college. There is limited parking available on the street in front of the venue, but there is also a free parking garage directly across the street. When you access the venue, you are standing in what would likely be consider a waiting area. A nice sized open space attached to what I would consider a bar, but I am sure he can be used for other purposes. For the party I attended, the open space was used for a photo booth and open bar. the perfect area for your guest to occupy if they main event space is not ready for them. The ballroom itself was indeed very grand! Large, wide-open with high ceiling, the perfect space for a birthday party or even a wedding reception. Very versatile. I did use the facilities while I was there and while they were small, they were clean. The entire venue, in fact; was clean. The few staff members I did encounter during my visit were nice, although the interactions were very brief. All and all, I was very impressed by my visit to The Grand Ballroom and will definitely recommend it to others in the future who are looking for a place to host their next event.
