I must say I didn't know what to expect with coming into a patio store for the first time. The place was well lit and really comfortable. Cathy (hope I spelled correctly) was wonderful. Not pushy. Communicated very efficiently. Showed us around to a few of the pieces. She let us roam on our own to get a better idea and would check up periodically with more suggestions and answers to any questions we had. They had some beautiful pieces. We currently live in an apartment so the patio space is much smaller than most of these pieces can accommodate. Once we upgrade to our house I will definitely be returning to get more patio furniture. I would recommend everyone to check them out. Prices can be high but seems to be very good quality. UPDATE: I got no where with corporate headquarters. When store saw my negative review, they called and said they would finally replace my two chairs that were under warranty and was all I wanted from the start. Both frames finally were delivered on November 28. read more

On my very 1st visit to this store, was looking for quality furniture, got tired of buying outdoor dining furniture every couple of years and wanted to invest in something great that would last multiple years and that would look fabulous to boot. I must say that Chair King met my every need, and their sales expert made my experience one of the best experiences in a long time. Shaan was extremely patient and tried to find me the best pricing. Update 6/4/18: I contacted Chair King corporate about this. They contacted the local store, and the manager there agreed to do an even exchange for the correctly sized fire pit lid. I appreciate this gesture. We will be back to Chair King in the future. Kudos on good customer service. Original review: My fiancee bought a very expensive fire pit from this store in late 2016. Along with it she purchased a small cover, to go over the fire part when the fire pit was not in use. These pieces go together. At the time of purchase the Chair King staff who assisted her did not let her know that the cover was not right size for the fire pit she was purchasing; it was not a correct match. It has been a while since then, but we still have that incorrect size cover with us, in the original Chair King box, original labels, brand new. So we had our home handyman swing by Chair King to request an even exchange or, if the correct (slightly larger) size was more expensive, we would of course make up the difference. I was in for a surprise when our handyman texted me. A Chair King associate named Linda Currie refused to do an exchange. She insisted that they could not take the incorrect size cover back (even though it was brand new, still in box, and never used), and that we would have to buy the correctly sized one at the full price of $90. I was stunned by this. They should have pointed out that the cover my fiancee bought was not the right size in the first place, and prevented this snafu from occurring. They did not. And now, for what should be a simple, no monetary loss to anyone exchange, Ms. Currie was standing on ceremony? This is poor customer service, and it is exactly why places like Costco and Walmart (who have excellent customer service and no-questions-asked return/exchange policies) continue to displace places with customer service like this. Rest assured, Ms. Currie's actions succeeded in doing one thing: We will never shop at Chair King again, and we will relay this episode not only on Yelp, but also to everyone we now. When I first visited the store the two individuals I worked with were very helpful, per my previous review. I had my furniture delivered and did not notice the metal on the back of the chairs were different. When I noticed this I called the store and spoke to another manager, as the original no longer worked there. I began talking to the other manager who never responded or fixed my issue. Fast forward to today, 6 months later, and there is a new manager who claims they can't fix my issue. If you value your money and want to work with a company that actually stands behind their products.....Do Not buy from Cair King and spend your money with a company who cares! read more

When we arrived we were greeted by a nice gentleman who proceeded to tell us about the sales they had going on. The pricing with the sales was a bit confusing. We walked around and toured the store. The prices were very steep, even with the discounts/sales. The furniture is nice and the store is very big. It's located adjacent to fuddruckers in the fountains. The selection was quite large and if we budgeted several thousand dollars for outdoor patio furniture we might consider it, but all I could think of is the potential short lifetime with larger dogs. read more

We have been a long time customer of the Chair King in Stafford, Texas but our experience today will be our last time there. We bought two pool floats a few months ago that were priced about $150 each and then discounted a little bit. We took them home and stored them in the house until late spring and then threw them into the pool for the small grandkids to use. They were only used 3 or 4 times and we noticed one of them was cracking and torn. We returned the bad one to the store for an exchange, not refund, and the man who sold them to us said some dog must have damaged them, then he said it looked like teeth marks or a knife had damaged the float. None of this happened. He was rude, unprofessional and accusing. Long story short they could only sell us a new one and even the manager was of no help. We spend thousands of dollars there every year and it seems the help seems to be getting worse. Maybe this is the new policy of Chair King. We are sorry to sever our relationship with Chair King, they use to be a great place to buy from every spring. read more

I love this store! We live in College Station, TX and drove to Houston in hopes to find just the right patio set for our new pool. We visited several stores with Chair King being the last place we visited. We came with our two year old granddaughter and looked at the entire showroom and settled in on some Mallin furniture. Grace was our sales person and she was the best! She was kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and thorough. Our experience at Chair King could not have been better. We will be back! read more

We my and I recently remodeled our patio are and were in need of quality patio furniture. Chair King was at the Fountains so we drove down and interacted with Kathy and the manager who were both kind and patient with us while we decided how we wanted to approach the patio design. We lighted upon an arced sofa arrangement with swivel gliders and set an appointment for delivery. Oscar arrived at the appointed time and set everything up start to finish. We couldn't be happier with our purchases. Kathy was as concerned as we were to recommend and assist us in selecting an integrated approach and worked with us through the process patiently and with great understanding. We recommend Chair King to everyone in the market for furniture. Beautiful pieces everywhere. Pricing is reasonable but higher than typical purchases for the home.
