Bought furniture mid July and was estimated delivery for mid August. Date came and went without an update or status of the furniture. Went to the store to ask and was given a different delivery date, that date also passed by and no communication via email, call or text about status. Went to the store a second time to ask for estimated delivery date and it keeps getting I pushed back. Front desk clerk stated that pick up is worse and more of a headache and I would not want to go that route. So I am waiting another week for the delivery or I am getting a full refund. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Quality and Even Worse Customer Service We purchased a bed set from Ashley Home Furniture about a year ago. We specifically chose what was marketed as the highest tier of furniture quality available--the most expensive and supposedly most durable option Ashley sells. We were excited to invest in something we believed would be long-lasting and high quality. But within just 2-3 months of normal use, we noticed that the wood veneer on the bed frame had started chipping and peeling--without any damage or misuse on our part. It was immediately clear that this was a manufacturer defect. Even more shocking was discovering that what we thought would be solid wood construction was actually a very thin veneer over a lower-grade material. For the premium price point and Ashley's claims of quality, we expected much more. This only reinforced how far Ashley's product standards seem to have fallen. We reached out to Ashley's customer service team expecting them to stand behind their product. Instead, we spent nearly six months going back and forth--waiting for updates, following up repeatedly--only to finally be told that our warranty claim was denied. The reason? They said the issue had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. While we were informed of this policy for delivery-related damage, our claim was not about delivery damage--it was about a clear manufacturer defect that only became visible with time. It's disappointing that Ashley refuses to distinguish between the two or honor their product warranty in cases like this. We're incredibly disappointed--not only in the subpar quality of the furniture but in the lack of accountability and customer support from Ashley. For a company of this size to dismiss a long-time customer with a legitimate concern is truly disheartening. Bottom line: don't be misled by the price tag or the "premium" label. I placed an order with Ashley HomeStore Online on 11/7/2025 for a sofa, an accent chair, and two end tables. The end tables arrived quickly via FedEx with no issues. However, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. The accent chair was marked as backordered, and the sofa was scheduled for delivery on Saturday, 11/15, but no delivery window was provided. Since I had appointments that day, I called Ashley's Online Store twice (Wednesday and Thursday) to ask for the delivery time. Both times I was told I would receive a text message with the time window. I finally received the window late Thursday afternoon--10:15 AM to 1:15 PM--so I canceled my appointments to be available. On Saturday, 2:20 PM came and went with no delivery. I called and was told simply to continue waiting. By 5:48 PM, still no delivery. When I called again, I was transferred and finally informed--for the first time--that the sofa was actually on backorder for 3 to 6 weeks. I was stunned. I had spoken to at least four different Ashley representatives, and none of them bothered to tell me this essential information. Spoke with four different people trying to at least give me an exchange and I'd pay restocking fee like other furniture stores. No dice!! Nothing! PROCEED WITH CAUTION! I purchased table and chairs and after the delivery date being pushed back twice, the table finally arrived. After the delivery drivers set it up, I knew it wouldn't be a good fit once my other furniture pieces arrived. I informed them and told them that I wanted to keep the chairs but not the table. They told me that they couldn't take any furniture back unless it was approved. Once I inquired about the approval process, they gave me a number to call. I immediately called the number and the recording said they were closed for the day (7:30/7:45pm). I informed them of what the recording said and they insisted that they couldn't seek approval elsewhere and that they wouldn't be able to take the table back on the truck. They left by advising me to call the next morning. I couldn't make them take the table and they left. The next morning after receiving the run around for over an hour, I finally spoke to someone that informed me that if the delivery wasn't to my liking that I should have returned it with the delivery drivers and that since I didn't there was nothing that I could do. Infuriated by the answer and discovering that the delivery drivers flat out lied to me and didn't want to be bothered, I escalated this with store management and the customer care hotline, to no avail. They consistently denied the exchange. Never followed up when they said they would, misleading information, etc. So in short PROCEED WITH CAUTION, when buying anything from Ashley furniture and make sure you will 200% like it and that it fits your space perfectly because they will lie to you, string you along, and not follow up only for you to find out that they aren't willing to do anything about it. Once they have your money you are in your own. Going forward I would much rather spend the extra money at Star or Gallery furniture where you know you are at least valued as a customer and treated as such! read more

Delivery service and management follow up is the worst. They were supposed to take mattress away and unpack and put up the new box springs. They left the new box springs in the plastic and put the new mattress on top of the old ones. I've called 6 times and emailed. They've given me three ticket numbers saying they would contact me to send someone to pick it up. Nothing, over a week already. Awful service. Bad enough that the delivery was already two weeks late. The assistant manager Akon does not care and it's funny he offered me a discount off of the furniture previously but not today. When I wouldn't allow him to get the sale because I wanted to think it over. He got mad and didn't realize I was still in the store and he said he just wasted 3 hours on waiting on us which he did nothing but offer an outrageous offer for one year. Be mindful of who is around one and two don't say rude comments about your customers just because you don't get the sell right away. When I came back to the store he had an attitude because I was asking questions to get the best deal and ensuring the order was placed properly per the agreement the store manager offered. We purchased a sofa sectional at Ashley Furniture in Sugarland, TX and it's sagging and worn after only a few days. I went back to the store to resolved the issue and spoke to Calvin the manager and was told he couldn't do anything about it and to contact GRT. I spoke with GRT several times and GRT told us they would call back but never did call back or email to follow up. Service techs came out twice without a resolution. The wrong size cushions were brought to my house as if that would be of satisfactory. Customer service has been giving us the runaround for approximately 3 1/2 months. We called customer service today and was put on hold and no one ever came back 4 times. Finally after the 5th call I got a decent representation that tried to help but esentionally I was given the runaround again to contact the technicians that's already has been to my home twice. I was told I needed to talk a technician before it could be escalated. GRT has the worst customer service and is very unprofessional. I'm so disappointed with the quality of the furniture and the company. We've only sat on one side of the couch to show you on the pics below that the quality is below standard and it's not what was presented to me at the store when I purchase the sofa sectional. Update: Some of my items arrived on 7/22. I am still waiting on my mattress which was scheduled to be delivered today 7/31(original delivery date was 7/11). It never came. When I called them to inquire, I was told that it is not even in stock yet or something along those lines and they don't really have a definite date for me because it has been backordered. Okay? Then why would you schedule a delivery and get my hopes up only to tell me you don't even have it. My nightstand hasn't arrived either and the date for that shifts between October, September and late August. Lol ridiculous. What kind of sociopath orders 1 chair. Shouldn't that have flagged someone? My kitchen looks like a damn interrogation table. So delivery #1- no chairs, missing shelves and missing peice of the entertainment set. No bedroom furniture. I called Randon and asked where everything is...he said it all should have been there July 9th. Yeah no...not even close. 2 weeks later. I get the other peice of the entertainment set. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I purchased a bed set. The installers tracked dirt and crap all over my white carpet. Scratched up the furniture. Then 2 months after owning the bed it broke. The installers didn't install the bed correctly. I have been fighting with there terrible customer service to get it fixed and they just give you the run around. In June of 2022 we purchased 11 items of furniture, Tempur-Pedic mattress bed bases. We were told by the sales associate that the furniture would not be ready to deliver until mid-September which was fine as we were closing on the house in September and if the furniture by chance would come in earlier, all we needed to do was tell the caller to hold the furniture and they would. Then when we were ready, call the customer service number to have the held furniture delivered. Unfortunately, what we were told and what happened were two different things leading me to conclude Ashley Furniture is not a reputable company. In early August we got a call that the furniture was available for delivery. I did as the sales associate recommended. I said we were not ready to accept delivery and scheduled the delivery for September 15th as we were closing on the house on September 13th. On September 14th Ashley called again to say that one piece of the bedroom furniture had not arrived. Wait, what? I was told in August that the furniture had ALL arrived and was being held in the warehouse until delivery was scheduled for the 15th, so where is my furniture or was I lied to in August? The caller said that when furniture cannot be delivered, it isn't held it's sent to the next person in line for the same furniture. This is not what I was told by my sales associate or by the individual who called in August. The caller on the 14th apologized and said she was sorry. However, the missing piece, the headboard, would arrive in the warehouse on the 15th and asked if we could reschedule delivery for the 16th so Ashley would have to make only one delivery trip instead of two. I said that was fine. I was told the furniture would be delivered on the 16th between 9am and noon. The time window came and went so I called Ashley and was told that they had no record of a scheduled delivery on the 16th and the best they could tell me was that the thought the bedroom and mattresses might be able to be delivered on September 20th and the sectional couch might be available on October 4th. On Sunday, September 8th, I called and got a confirmed delivery time for the 20th for the bedroom furniture including the mattresses. Ashley finally delivered the bedroom suite and mattresses and bedframe on the 10th a month and a half AFTER they said all the furniture was in and would be stored in the warehouse until we accepted delivery (we now know this was not true). We then began pushing for a delivery date for the sectional including pulling our sales associate into the fray and asking him to leverage within the company to expedite delivery. On or about September 23rd I got a text from Tiffany at Ashley Furniture asking me if we would accept partial deliver of the furniture. I texted back yes and then called the 800 number to schedule the partial delivery. I spoke to an associate who looked up the records and said that two of the four pieces were marked by the manufacture that they had been discontinued so if we accepted partial delivery, he could not guarantee we would ever have a full sectional. Flabbergasted that I had been lied to AGAIN, I cancelled the remaining order. On October 18 I sat down to set up payment with the financing company expecting to see a bill for approximately $9,347.00. The bill was for well over $10,000. What I found was I'd been billed for two delivery fees while only one delivery was made AND they had added a $779.99 five-year protection plan that I did want nor was I asked if I wanted. I went to the store in Sugar Land as I wanted to talk face-to-face with someone. Our sales associate was there, and he worked through all that happened and picked up on the extra delivery fee and the protection plan (mind you he was the one who added it). He told me I would have to call the 800 number and talk to customer service as the store cannot do anything once the furniture was delivered. At this point I was ready to tell them to send a truck and take back their stuff. I have successfully got the $779.99 dollar protection plan removed and it only took 3.5 hours and talking to at least 6 different people at Ashley (at least one lie told) and one person at the protection plan. Someone at Ashley finally told me that I had to call the protection plan company to cancel, get a claim number, then call Ashley back with the claim number so they could process the refund. It can take up to 15 days to get the refund processed and posted to the credit card company. I also found out that Ashley cannot issue a credit on their side for the delivery fee overcharge I had to "challenge the charge" through the credit card company. I called the credit card company and talked to a helpful young lady who took the information necessary to challenge the over charge. I think I made a good case. 1) We had one order delivered at one time yet two delivery fees, $329.99 and $59.99. When we ordered 11 items of furniture the delivery fee was $379.99. All they can offer is I'm sorry your order is confirmed for this day now. That's it. Absolute incompetence all around. RUN, DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY!! I purchased my bedroom set on 05/25 it is now 09/08 and I have yet to receive my full order. I have had my furniture scheduled several time the first time I received a call the day of stating my whole furniture did not fit on the delivery truck so I had them cancel the partial delivery. hours later I received a call from someone in scheduling stating my half furniture was In a different state he wasn't sure why they told me that. I go on about my day and a couple hours later as I'm at the grocery store I received a txt stating my delivery was 10 minutes out so my husband accepted the partial delivery which was in the middle of July. Come early August I had another delivery scheduled for the rest of my furniture to only receive a call stating my footboard was broken. Buyer beware! I'd give zero stars if I could. Spend your money else where. Worse experience of my life and still dealing with it. We purchased beginning of Dec. Took weeks for delivery, still waiting on items now. We got a DAMAGE chaise. Took another couple weeks to get that fixed. When finally we got the some other items sent our dining room server was also damaged. Still hasn't been fixed. We have been dealing with an "exchanged" for 5 weeks now on the wrong recliner. Communition with the Sugarland store is horrendous. They NEVER respond there ever. I have called customer service and sent "tickets" over 20 times, still no response. I've called every other dAy for 5 weeks. Gone to the store multiple times and still they are sending wrong items. I was laughed at for asking at the store why they never respond to calls.. lady said that's "normal" there and giggled. I was furious. I asked the manager that helped what the deal is and he said the the company just bought other stores and merged blamed the new system for all the issues. Which is a lie customer service said system was updated 2016/2017. Blaming the new system for their irresponsibility. I spoke to customer service just yesterday and want to return everything. Just guess who has to approve that " the store", so I won't hold my breathe that they'll answer a call. I will be missing work again to go to the store once again. I wonder if they will pay for lost wages but I guess the store would have to approve as well............... I will note the bill was sure on time unlike anything else. Waste of time. I went in to purchase a couch and the environment is very unwelcoming. The employees were all outside smoking while the ones inside were just sitting around. I was finally approached by a salesman who told me he didn't have what I was looking for in stock and left it like that. I thought he would have at least showed me some options or assist me somehow but he just walked away from me. Very unprofessional. read more

Do not go here, and don't give your business to Tony. I went it a couple weeks ago to buy a couch on Memorial Day Weekend. Found one that I loved and it was also on clearance. Tony was my salesman and he told me that I was getting a super good deal because it was on clearance and that it was a Memorial Weekend sale. He never bothered to mention that i was getting this good deal because i was buying it as is, off the floor with a stain. I would never knowingly purchase something knowing it had a stain on it. I also purchased the warranty and i've tried numerous times to get them to come out and clean the stain, like the warranty says they will and i have not heard back from them. My delivery was awful too, the couch showed up barely packaged or protected. It started to pour on the couch and it was not protected at all. I truly believe that Tony took advantage of me because I was young. There was also another salesman, I believe his name was Charles. He followed me around and made me feel extremely uncomfortable the whole time I was there. This place is terrible, I do not recommend them at all and I would never give them my business again. read more

DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS STORE OR ANY ASHLEY STORE! They are only concerned about getting your money; The agents will lie about anything to make a sale. My item has been delayed 5 times now. They keep giving me a date for delivery, and then push it back when the date nears. The customer representatives are all useless, they will give you the same jaded message that your item is delayed but can't do anything else. It's the most frustrating experience I've ever had buying a furniture. The quality of the items are just okay, and the prices are more expensive than other stores. If I had read these reviews, I wouldnt have gone to Ashley to begin with. Same things happened to me - On May 7I bought $3000 worth of furniture -- which was supposed to be delivered mid-July. On July 18 I received a text saying it would be delivered that day. Never arrived. No text, no phone call, nothing. When I called them, they said it would be another month so I said "Forget it" I will buy somewhere else read more

Update : I was contacted by a representative from Ashley furniture about my chair and I have to say that the customer service was top notch . I was pretty angry when I wrote my original review, but Ashely furniture actually worked with me to make it right . The Montage warranty company wasn't especially helpful, but the Ashley furniture rep made up for it . I had all my paperwork, and they were able to expedite my request. Thanks Ashely furniture , I really appreciate your help . Excellent customer service ! ----------------- Had this chair for a few years , bought the warranty, and found out the warranty doesn't cover wear and tear . The problem is that the leather they use is of poor quality . Very disappointed . I contacted the warranty company, provided all the information, and nothing . The chair keeps ripping , and am very disappointed that I spent so much and it didn't even last 4 years . read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE Hello CEO,Mr.Todd Wanek, I am sooo Upset right now! Let me start by saying the reviews from the Sugarland location are absolutely horrible. I am Big on reviews, but when we went in the store the customer service was phenomenal so we decided to go with this company. We ordered the dining room table and stools and the matching TV stand. The table came on time but I had to keep calling them to set up the delivery time and date. The TV stand is a whole situation! The person in the store promised we will get the tv stand right after Thanksgiving but way before Christmas. When I called in December and went to the store, the manager informed me that it was on back order and was upset that we were promised this tv stand on a date that she could not promise. Then I call back later on in December and they tell me it's going to be delivered on 12-26-2020... Well I never received a call or email with the time. I then have to call and wait another 15 or so mins and they tell me that it's not ready and will be here on the 30th. At this point I am LIVID! Not only have I rearranged my schedule but I also canceled plans so I could be available for the delivery. The tv stand arrives on January 2nd in a box! This was not what we was told in the store. Why would I have half my order delivered put together and the other in a box? At this point I am soo upset with this company. I told somebody to get this out of my house ASAP. It was doing nothing but giving me negative energy. Literally the worst company I have ever had to deal with. And not being able to reach the store by phone is absolutely crazy! Customer service is rude and y'all should really look into all the reviews!!!!!! Then I get a call from a lady named Rebecca wanting me send my ID.. she called while I was teaching and didn't even explain why I needed to send my ID. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service before. The lady at customer service was just so unhelpful. We bought our furniture on Dec 7! Delivery date was set for Dec 21st. That was our move in date as well for our new home. We received an email on THE SAME DAY OF OUR DELIVERY DATE AND MOVE IN saying that there has been some issues. We called and had to cancel the delivery due to some "missing" parts. They were suppose to call us back and let us know with an update and never received a call and we called customer service COUNTLESS OF TIMES and no one picked up. We called today (Dec 23) and said we won't receive anything till January 3rd!!!!! We are extremely frustrated and unpleased with this store!!!! Now my family are sleeping on the floor and have no where to sit to eat. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!!! Only thing they are good at is taking our money and DELIVERING EVERYTHING LATE!! The folks in "customer service" told me they were waiting for my credit card company to "accept' the credit. What credit card company do you know of that won't accept a credit?!!!? So... where to start... First my salesman, Willie Foreman was amazing. Personable, patient, informative... eventually finding me the perfect future desk so that I can start working from home. Quick, easy, affordable, whole nine. If nothing else would have happened then it would have been the perfect shopping experience. But life sometimes happens. I get an email Monday, July 30th about confirming my delivery date and I immediately confirm it... then I was notified that it couldn't be that day. So I immediately did what my confirmation email said and emailed confirmation@ashleyhc.com I received a response the same day. Still great experience. However, the email response said that I would need to call to change the delivery. (If you can't change the delivery by email then you shouldn't put that information in the confirmation email address) It was too late to call so I called the next day. The person that originally answered said she couldn't do it so she transferred me. I was warmly greeted and she immediately got to work setting my new delivery date. I asked for Thursday but she said that it wasn't available but suggested I do it on Friday. I moved some of my previous obligations around and waited for my confirmation email. Up until this point, everything was perfectly handled and normal... but then everything changed on Thursday. I never received my confirmation email. After I got home, I called the same number as before and the person was great to talk to and quite bubbly. She told me, unfortunately, that my delivery had never been scheduled and that I would be transferred to customer support. Now... I understand mistakes happen. I understand that if I had kept my previous appointment this never would have happened. That said, I asked her to please make sure that it got here on Friday because I did move things around and needed the desk. She put me on hold while she talked to the delivery department. This is when it hit the fan.... when you're told "no" or "there's nothing we CAN do".... that doesn't compute. She didn't offer anything but an empty apology on how she "can't" do anything. I asked why she wasn't willing to fix my problem and she didn't understand the difference between can't and won't. I asked to speak to a supervisor... I go on hold. She comes back and offers a callback and I said I would wait. ~5 min later she comes back and says her supervisor said that there's nothing that they "can" do... once again... the proper response is won't. I said I would continue to hold for the supervisor. Enter Rob "I don't give out my last name", Customer Support Supervisor. I asked if he was caught up and frustratingly ask why they were unwilling to help with my problem. He says he "can't"... Please train representatives to never say "no" and "can't"... it's really frustrating to people that can and are willing to think outside the box of how to solve problems and diffuse situations. I offer 2 solutions: third party trucking and discount. He offers half of my delivery charge... another slap in the face. He was unwilling to solve my problem or help diffuse the call. Now that I've had time to think and calm down and reschedule my delivery and reschedule my life to accept the delivery, I took the 30 minutes out of my day to write this. Based on your company's unwillingness to help customers when your company's employees make a mistake, I will not be shopping there again... which is a shame because I really liked my salesman and I need a few more pieces of furniture. So thankfully I saved this because my comment was now deleted on the Facebook page.... and I have some updates. I rescheduled the delivery to Monday the 6th. I get an email to confirm the delivery on August third and I confirm the delivery. Saturday night I get a phone call at 9:04pm saying that my order could not be filled because it was a discontinued item. She left a message with the details. Monday a woman calls me to tell me again that the item was discontinued. And asked what I wanted to do. I said that the desk I wanted is sitting in the store that I could go pick it up from there and be done with the ordeal. She said she would call the store and see if that was ok and call me back in a couple of hours. Guess what? No call back. I call the store and ask to speak to Willie and he was off. While at work that day I go on the Ashley website and there's my desk for purchase... definitely not discontinued and was available for delivery in my area. I take off work early the next day and go up to the store. It was been 3 weeks since I purchased the desk as it is now August 7th 1/2 Desk was delivered the 15th and was 2 hours late. The story is much longer than what's in here and I finally just canceled the order and found the exact same desk on another website and will be delivered in 4 days. read more
