Ended up walking in here because I needed to grab some beer on my way to a party. Had a great experience! The guys at Chal Brit are super nice, really helpful, and service was quick but not rushed. They asked if I needed help right away - I had a ton of questions about buying beer for the party, and they helped me choose a good variety and knew what to point me to. They also had a good selection which was nice because some places are kind of limited. Overall awesome experience. I'll definitely come back here in the future. read more

I went there to purchase some of their vape products for my wife for Christmas. The short man introduced himself by saying "What do you want?" All of their vape products behind the counter are covered by a semi-see through plastic bag (I guess that's their cheap version of the CDC mandated guard between employees and customers) Anyway, I couldn't see much of what was behind the counter, so I had a few things that I was about to purchase, and I paid for them. Then I saw something else on the back wall that I couldn't quite make out, so I asked him what it was exactly. The employee's response was "What are you retarded? I'm not gonna tell you what everything is. I shouldn't have to explain stuff like this to an idiot!" So I told him I wanted a refund and his managers name. He responded with "My managers name is Go f*ck yourself. " He came from behind the counter and became aggressive, so I pulled out my phone to take a picture of the "manager". He immediately turned around so I couldn't see his face and said he was gonna call the cops. I asked one of my 19 year old co-workers about him and his attitude. They told me he's always angry, but they tolerate it, because he sells tobacco and alcohol to anyone and he also sells them "CBD flower", which is actually low quality marijuana. I have no respect for that man and will never go back. I want to let everyone else knows this as well. Whoever he is, he has no morals and no people skills along with illegally selling products to underage children. Be careful letting your kids go in there alone! read more

Buyer Beware: do not go here unless you want horrible service! I went in recently to buy a case and use gift cards that I had received. I had thirty dollars in gifts cards and went to make my purchase, only to be told that they had new management and could not accept the gift cards. Nowhere on the gift cards did it say anything about any expiration of the cards. I requested to speak with the owner and he was not in at the time. The owner spoke to the staff (via phone, in a foreign language) and ultimately I was informed that they would give me a credit of $20 toward my purchase. I made my purchase and left knowing that they now have lost a customer for life and that I will pass this along for everyone to see what you get with the new management here. read more

Stopped in on our way home. Staff had a great sense of humor. i was given the advice that I should by 3 cases of Lions Head for my friends and it would cost less than my 1 case of Dogfish Head that I shouldn't share. They treated every customer with respect whether they were buying a case of Natural Ice or Molson. Although they did give the guy from Texas a hard time until they realized he was originally from this area. Even though B&B Beverages is closer, I might have to switch to these guys. When spending a decent amount on good beer, you might as well get entertained. read more

I've been buying beer from Chal-Brit for 20 years and have always enjoyed the customer service until a few years ago when the original local owners sold it. Recently the prices have gone up, the selection gone down and the store is a mess. This past Saturday I bought a case of beer, it was the last one they had and I bought it at a discount despite a few of the beers bulging at the seams. I opened two of the pristine looking cans and discovered that these cans tasted 'skunked'. I also opened a few of the bulging cans and they smelled the same as the ones I tried to drink. I took the remaining case back to the store minus the few cans I tried to drink and was told they would give me $20 towards getting a new case despite me paying $28 for the case 5 days earlier. I have never in my life tried to return a case of beer, or for that matter had any issues returning anything that is clearly defective, let alone a possible health concern. The manager on duty, Ryan, was rude and belligerent and when I questioned the reason for not being able to pick another case of equal value he refused to take the case at all. His customer service was appalling and Chal-Brit has lost a 20 year loyal customer. Go up the street to B&B in Doylestown or to Bound in Warrington or Beer Stop Beverage in Colmar. read more
