Step by step instructions, lots of fun and interaction with us painters and she was so clear about how to do the next step. She also started a little early since everyone had arrived and it gave us a few extra minutes to complete harder steps. I never felt rushed and I love the idea of the SOS day to get help if you feel your painting isn't something you are ready to hang on the wall! The whole experience was excellent and our paintings turned out pretty well compared to what we anticipated. I've taken two classes here: Christmas ornaments and stained glass. The owner is extremely…read morepassionate about the art- consistently developing additional designs and options. For the ornament class, we watched a safety video, watched the instructor demo, including tips on what to do and not to do, picked out our color choices, and went person by person blowing our three ornaments- it was a little tricky, but that's the fun in learning something new. The cooling process takes ~2 hours, so you'll want to find something to do during that time- downtown Culpepper is really cute though. For the stained glass class, each person got their own station with all supplies set up for them. Based on experience level, the instructor gave personalized instructions on what to do next which allowed folks to finish on their own time without feeling rushed or slowed down. There were 3 tables with 4 people each during the class I took. The instructor will help you as much or as little with the actual development (some people wanted help soldering the hooks on). I would definitely take classes again as it's clear that this business is a labor of love for the owner who showed us some additional designs she's working on. The other classmates were super welcoming and cheered on everyones's progress in both classes. I recommend for folks who want to learn something new, build community, or make something beautiful!

This new, local business is adorable. It's basically a craft bar. You come at any time and they…read morehave a rotating menu of crafts that you can pick to do. Each is priced separately and they have staff on hand to help you with the items. In addition to the crafts there is a basic beverage and food menu. They also have weekly recurring events. The one that I've enjoyed is the Friday toddler time: They read a book and then have a simple craft to do that pertains to the story. The whole thing is probably only 10 minutes, but it's completely free, so you can't expect too much. :)
