This is a nice find on the North Side. It's got a funky vibe but in a good way. Seems to be a latin theme. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, they have live latin music. This has been our favorite meal in Sayilita. Something for everyone! We started with happy hour 2 for 1 margaritas (4:30-6:30). Fresh guacamole appetizer for the group was good. I had the Mahi-mahi which was amazing, including the pesto veggies. My vegetarian son had the hibiscus tacos, which he said were the best he has ever had. My daughter's aguachiles were delicious. The non fish eaters in our group had the birria quesadilla, chicken pinia, and the burger. Rave reviews for all except the burger which was just "ok". Chaman advertises having live music Thursday through Saturday, but we lucked out on New Year's Day because there was a saxophonist and keyboard player while we were there. Nice outdoor dining with plenty of variety of food. Staff are friendly and attentive. I love they offer more healthy options too. We shared an açaí bowl. I got the steak chilaquiles while my friend ordered the burger. The portions are generous. The steak was tough and overcooked and the chips weren't homemade which was disappointing. The açaí bowl was yummy though and refreshing. I ordered a cocktail & it came in a slanted glass which got us trippin'. It's a great place if you're looking for a break from traditional Mexican food. The food here was very very good and it wasn't close to downtown so it was nice and quieter than the busy downtown ruckus. They don't get the 5th star because of the wait. Great food, service and outdoor space for a relaxing lunch or dinner with someone special or a large group. We did lunch before heading back home as this gem of a spot was down the street from the house tucked away in the neighborhood. The chicken panini sandwich salad was my go to with a passion fruit margarita and both were amazing. The chicken panini was flavorful with moist chicken that was tender and a sauce with a mustard mayo flavor with cheese that really made for an amazing taste with fresh bread. The ceviche fresh and very refreshing as well along with some chips and guacamole made for the perfect last meal after a nice week in Sayulita! read more

I liked that the place was not in a super crowded area and we didnt have to eat at a table on the street, their seating area was off the street behind a gate. Sometimes it's nice to have modern comforts. Food was great! Got a burger and veggie quesadilla to share. I wasn't in a fish mood but the other people in my group were. Absolutely spectacular place, every single thing tasted super fresh! Mezcalerita was perfectly balanced, margarita was one of the best we've had. Got the dorado fillet and I was floored. My gf, who never eats fish, tasted it and said she would totally eat that! I've lived in Sayulita on and off for about 16 years, and have probably tried nearly every restaurant and taco stand that has come (and sometimes gone) over that time. A very few stand out and earn our repeat business, while many remain consistently mediocre even as prices rise (looking at you, Tierra Viva). Chaman Creative Kitchen, located on the quiet north end, is a new arrival, and I've been there twice now, for lunch and dinner. Came away smiling both times. Had a delicious smoked salmon panini for lunch that I plan to have again soon. At dinner the other night I shared a generous tropical salad that tasted crisp and fresh, as if the ingredients were just freshly picked. Plenty for two! Followed that up with a "Holy Quesadilla" a vegetarian option packed with fresh mushrooms, greens and manchego cheese - superb. My wife had the garlic shrimp that she raved about and shared with me as well. Light, flavorful, loved the sauce, and the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is an open, breezy outdoor oasis blissfully free of noisy street performers, the menu has creative takes on local standards, and the staff are the kind of friendly, cheerfully helpful people you'd like to get to know better. We were happy to finally try this spot after missing out on our last visit. It was perfectly located for our stay so we frequented the bar a few times, and joined our family for dinner once. The ambiance here is so peaceful, I love the beautiful mood lighting and the dream catchers and macrame. The menu looked to have many healthy and vegetarian options. I love this place! I've been here twice for brunch since coming to Sayulita, and I plan to come again for drinks one evening. The staff here is so kind--they put up an umbrella for us and turned on fans to keep us cool. The decor has a wide open garden feel with tables, tipis, and benches and a bar.
