Finally relief for my severe bruxism. I love my custom fit night guard that was made for me with the help of Dr Chamberlain and his staff. I woke up this morning so rested without a headache, the guard fits perfectly. I was really surprised that it took zero time to get used to. I wore it last night for the first time and fell right to sleep in it :)! It's really comfortable and sort of a minimalist design, not bulky at all compared to other guards I've tried over the years. This one is very durable and cute. It snaps in place on my upper teeth. I noticed this morning while I was waking up, I was physically unable to clench or bite down on one side like I normally do. Amazing, it works like a supportive brace. Previous night guards I gave up on because they hurt and didn't help at all, very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep at all in them. I highly recommend this particular type of night guard. On a late Friday night evening, my back molar decided a part of it should fall off. I had never had anything in my life happen like that before. I reached out to Chamberlain dental at 8pm Friday after it happened, and Janice answered. I am not normally an anxious person, however as soon as you say we're going to the dentist, I get a little anxious. While on the phone with Janice, I was anxious, one bc it's Friday night, and well, what do I do, lol. Thankfully I was given instructions on both the care and management of said molar until I could be seen Monday morning by Dr. Chamberlain. (Over the counter, and it WORKED!) I went in Monday morning (slightly nervous, bc it's the dentist!) and I was instantly put to ease by the entire office staff, and Dr. Chamberlain himself. The office is gorgeous, clean and well appointed. After a through oral examination, X-rays, and photos, a treatment plan was formulated for me to have my teeth fixed in the upcoming week. Dr. Chamberlain and his staff are incredibly knowledgable and well versed in dentistry. I have never been put more at ease then I have at this office. I've had extensive dental work done throughout my life as a child, teeth removal due to overcrowding, braces for many years, retainer, night guard, and honestly I have never looked forward to any of it! I advised Dr. Chamberlain of my anxiety relating to dental work being performed, and he was able to offer solutions so I could have the work done. I will say I am actually looking forward to my second upcoming appointment , more relaxed and ready to take on the interventions laid out for my two molars. Wow very impressed. Spending the winter in Florida and 4 days in I broke a tooth. Searching the web for a dentist who might be able to help me I found Dr Chamberlain. I CRIED AT THE DENTIST LAST WEEK...and not sad tears, it was the ones that you are so happy you cry! I've had to get 8 fillings in the last 2 1/2 months and every visit has gone exceptionally well. Janice always greets me at the door and has wonderful conversations while I'm waiting. Every fillings they make sure I'm always comfortable in that if I need a blanket, the chair is right and I'm fully numb. Dr. Chamberlain explains every tooth he is going to work on and makes me aware of everything that will happen during the visit. If possible, I would rate Dr Chamberlain and his staff a 10+. He is the kindest, most gentle dentist I've ever had in 70+ years. I have a fear of dental work, so it was a bit traumatic searching for a DDS after moving to FL 1 yr ago (and after hvg the same DDS for 20+ yrs). Dr Chamberlain was the 3rd DDS I consulted with. He is very understanding, and spent a lot of time in working with me to get the correct and affordable procedures. I had 4 injections, numbing all of my lower mouth/gums. I felt NO pain during injection...NO pain during all the procedures...NO pain afterwards! He is so GENTLE, caring, efficient and professional...And uses state-of-the art equipment!!!!! Dealing with this office staff has been horrible! 1st. I'm almost 50 years old - this is the first time I have experienced having two appt to get my teeth cleaned- 1 for the X-ray and 1 for the cleaning itself. When I asked why - I was told this is regulation in Florida (fyi- this is a lie they told me) as it is not regulation!! They do this to bill insurance for an extra office appointment - which in turn is not customer friendly. 2) I filled out online new patient paper work, including insurance information weeks ahead of time. I arrive the day of my appointment to be told they are no longer accepting my Aetna insurance. They should have told me this prior (in fairness Aetna didn't either) as they still have this dentist as in network. 3) they tried to get me to still move forward with my appointment saying out of pocket is the same that Aetna usually charges- I simply stated that I don't pay anything for X-rays or cleanings via Aetna - and ask if they are willing to do this for free? She quickly said no! 4) she then tried to up sell me for a device for my sleep apnea- several issues w this: 1) they already proved to me customer service was not their speciality 2) I'm not taking the advice from a front desk office worker regarding anything medical/dental. 3) it made me think that they are sales reps to upsell and not their for the true health of my mouth. I highly recommend this dentist. Every member of the team I crossed paths with were very pleasant, upbeat, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. On more than one occasion, they actually had to babysit my doped up self while we waited for my ride to pick me up; I felt this really went the extra mile. I arrived with a mouthful of bad teeth and a smile that could scare children :) I ended up having 5 or so teeth pulled, two or three crowns, and two bridges. I just moved to the area about a month ago and had the misfortune to chip a tooth about a week after arriving, so I've been on the hunt for a dentist. After being a patient at my last clinic, the bar has been set pretty high, so I've tried to do my due diligence in reading reviews and double checking insurance networks to get a group on par with my people from Parkside. I cross-referenced Delta Dental and reviews on Yelp to find myself calling Dr. Chamberlain's office. First of all, Heather answered the phone and left a great first impression. She was willing to answer my myriad of questions and work with my schedule, offering me a walk-in appointment that afternoon. Got to the clinic, filled out the necessary paperwork, and it was only a few minutes before Danielle appeared to check me in. She was friendly, patient, and listened to all of my concerns before telling me what could be done in a first time appointment. Then, Dr. Chamberlain came in. He, like Danielle, was personable and welcoming. Despite my trepidation for the moment when I knew he'd want to examine my toothed chip, I was put at ease. Dr. Chamberlain's exam was quick and painless, and he was quick to reassure me that he wouldn't be causing me any pain if he could help it. After the exam, we examined my X-rays and the photos of my mouth that Danielle took during check-in. I've never had such a thorough explanation of what's going on inside my mouth (even if the side of the photos on the screen made me want to run to the nearest bathroom and brush my teeth like never before). Dr. Chamberlain pointed out old fillings, places that would turn into cavities if I didn't maintain brushing and flossing, as well as his recommendations for how to handle my chipped tooth. I've booked my follow up appointment for him to place a crown (and my anxiety about the situation has been decreased by the fact that they use sedation) in August. At the front desk, Heather was quick to explain the estimate and how everything would break down so that I left with no questions. All in all, this was an excellent first visit. I was very impress with my first visit and follow up. The office is clean and modern. The doctor has excellent bedside manners but most impressive is the technology and attention to details. I found myself with toothache over the holidays. I called Tuesday afternoon, they fit me in the schedule next day 7:30AM. I expected diagnosis and plan of care but never expected to walk out with all work done. Dr. Chamberlain and his staff were phenomenal, they went above and beyond my expectations.
