They are friendly and knowledgeable about the plants they sell , they have a nice selection for both the flower and vegetable gardens plus landscaping plants . They carry a nice selection of plants , potting soil and gardening supplies . It's the first place I go to for my gardens. Especially in the spring and fall . I've been a frequent customer of Chambers Nursery for the past 30 years and have always been satisfied until now. I purchased 12 holly ferns a few weeks ago - eight that were beautiful and had just been acquired by the nursery, and four that had been overwintered at the nursery and needed a bit of TLC. I've cleaned up the four "old" ones, and they are flourishing. I planted the "new" ones in the same area, and three of them have died. I contacted the nursery to discuss an exchange and was told that they don't offer a guarantee for bedding plants or perennials and could not provide any assistance in rectifying this situation. I'm extremely disappointed in this response as most nurseries offer a guarantee for some period of time, certainly when the plants have been recently purchased. read more

The ladies and guys that work at this place are some of the nicest and most know people I have ever done business with. Their prices kick Lowe's, Home Depot and especially the chain nurseries in the behind! And the quality of the plants are top notch. What a nice nursery! I am new to Texas gardening and had hard time with it. People at the nursery were extremely patient and accommodating. Tomato choices were plentiful and so were the peppers. I bought the nicest lemon thyme plant ever and for way cheaper than any other place. I could've spent entire day there browsing. Will be back and will tell everyone about this place. read more

Lowe's can kiss off -- I'm getting my gardening stuff here from now on! I made my first visit on a sunny January afternoon, with the goal of picking up some organic potting and gardening soil, and to just check them out. I pulled up to a shed-like building with a covered area filled with containerized plants of varying sizes and two good sized round-top greenhouses. They had a surprisingly good selection of stuff considering it was January. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped me find the right soil and amendments for the plants I was using, and knew exactly which combos would be best for my organic, drought resistant plant beds. I also saw a lot of other products, such as seeds, lawn care and restoration products, and pavers. Aside from my bags of soil, I also picked up some romaine lettuce and Swiss chard seedlings (there's nothing like going out to your own garden to pick the greens for your smoothies each morning!), essentially loading up my hatchback for just under 50 bucks! I'm looking forward to going back during peak gardening season (but I'd better go with a list or it could be dangerous)!! read more

I made a wrong turn and the next thing I know I see Chambers Nursery, pump the brakes, turn the steering wheel! I went in and they have all kinds of plants. I love potho's/ivy plants and they always have several in hanging in pots and regular pots and they look like they are on steroids. I was in plant heaven, so much plant at a great price. Their prices are amazing for what you get. I go to Walmart/Lowe's at the end of season now, but I go here about 4 times a year. It's family owned and they are all so nice and welcome you, they don't bother you, you can just take your time and hang out. The most important thing is... they thank you for your business, that's really important when running a business. I will drive a extra 20 minutes and take extra money because I know am going to get some beautiful plants at a great price. Cara C is so hysterical! I went 3 weeks ago, I wanted 2 to 3 tomato plants for fall gardening. Lowes didn't have any but the employee was kind enough to mention Chambers and tell me where they were located. They had an okay selection, it was small. Dress cool, the inside is not air conditioned and very hot. Employee experiences very and the parking is gravel (so don't wash your car and go there, lol) I like Doan's Nursery on Beltline better since it's bigger with more variety and you get more for your money too! read more
