I used to come to Champ Burger all the time when I lived in Shelburne, it was a favorite. Now that I have moved I don't come here as often. I recently stopped by and grabbed their new Wagyu Kobe inspired burger. FYI Wagyu is just a type of Japanese cow. If it's not specifically Kobe, Yonezawa, or any of the other few choice cuts it's not really that special. So the wording of "Kobe Inspired" basically means it's not Kobe beef. Anyways the burger was good, though with all the condiments you can't really taste the meat patty. The burger was really messy and difficult to eat. Next time I'll order fewer condiments. I have always enjoyed their burgers. The only reason I am not 5-STAR pleased is that my total was over $20 for a burger and a water. A bit pricey for a burger. read more

I've stopped here a few times now on my way to Sauble. Forgot to check in and wrote a review for these guys so I figured better late than never. This is a fast food kind of place with some seating available inside and also outside. Their menu is pretty big and offers something for all tastebuds. I've had their Champ Burger several times and also their spicy fish tacos probably three times too now. The fish tacos are deep fried of course and the burgers are grilled. Their fries are amazing!! When you're coming through Shelburne and you need a bite, this is the only spot I would recommend you. It hasn't disappointed me once. read more

We wanted to try Super Burger because of the retro TTC streetcar, however we had my dog with us. Super Burger had Picnic bench but Champ Burger had a patio where my dog was allowed. As for food, we went for their signature Champ burger combo with gravy (really good, it was made with chicken fat). They were really with their portion because I couldn't finish my combo. I had high hopes and ordered the signature Champ Burger combo with rings. Service was OK, not over friendly but quick, they were quite busy. First bite impression: hot, fresh toppings, toasted bun, bit of overkill on the relish, flavourless meat patty. I added some salt to the beef, hoping to taste something,,,, meh.... I'm not sure where the grilled flavour was hiding, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The rings and fries were typical quality, but good. Overall impression: this place is good, just not great in my opinion.. If the meat had more flavour, I would be back to dine another day! read more

Had the 4oz with bacon n cheese and a vanilla milkshake. Burger was great, nice bun like a Kaiser which I really liked cuz it held in the toppings well. Great spot to grab a burger en route to the cottage. Patties are a bit salty but super tasty. 4oz and 6oz. options (same circumfrence, just thinner, so same surface area for piling on the toppings). Fries are a thing of beauty - not too thick, not too thin, just right... and gloriously crispy! VERY generous portion (1 order of fries is enough for 2 people). Relaxed and welcoming interior with a licenced patio. Staff are always super friendly. I was in the area for an evening work event so I stopped here for a quick meal first. I ordered the burger combo with a bottle of water instead of fountain soda. The water cost $2 extra which seems steep. The food was okay, but not memorable and not worth driving out of your way for. You could easily recreate this meal by getting an angus burger from Harvey's and the fries from McDonalds. If you've always really loved McDonalds' fries and Harvey's angus burgers, then this is your ideal burger joint. Everything was fresh and we would give the burgers four stars while the fries would receive five stars.
