As a newbie to gardening, I decided to check out different nurseries all over SGV and this definitely had all the unique fruits with plenty varieties to choose from. I cannot say on what the process it was to buy one though as I just wasn't ready to buy a fruit tree for more than $50. The owner was super nice and helped anyone that needed help. You could tell there other customers who trusted his opinion about the fruit trees. I loved there was small rooster roaming around. The entire place is outside, so it feels relatively safe in reference to covid times. The owner wore a mask. Parking was easy as there is parking surrounding the sides of the place. read more

This place is unscrupulous. He sold me a $150 7 gallon miracle fruit that went through a frost. I was not told about the frost until AFTER I paid him. I objected and he told it would be fine and wouldn't let me return it. The damage was done and the root system was destroyed and within 30 days I was out a miracle plant and $150 read more

Champa Nursery has a wonderful selection of fruit trees that are reasonably priced. The fruit trees appear healthy and robust. The employees are welcoming and are quick to share their knowledge. There are a couple of chickens roaming the nursery grounds so be on the lookout for them. Plenty of parking available. read more

Purchased 25G Lychee Tree online, talked to the owner over the phone before going to the Nursery. He confirmed the availability and height being between 6 to 7 feet without the pot. When I arrived, there was 1 lychee plant, only 4 feet height. Gave me the option to cancel the order or take the smaller tree (planted in 25G pot). I drove for 2 hours to go there. At the end, I came back with the smaller tree and another Atamoya tree (which I didn't need). This is not correct. When someone buy tree online, you should reserve it for the customer / order number. read more

Excellent value and selection. We bought Logan Trees ($45-100 depending on size), rose apple trees, and banana trees. Depending on the season they also have soursop and sapote. Because his prices are a lot higher than those stores. 5 gal plants at those stores are selling about $39.99. Champa is selling 3 gal plants at $42.99. I love Home Depot, but their selection outside of core / mainstream product sucks. My wife and I were on the hunt for a tree, and Champa Nursery is a gem nursery with a great selection of trees, and we were happy to see they all looked extremely healthy as well. We purchased a Saturn Peach Tree. We love it and hope it does well in our yard :) Highly recommend at least checking them out. read more

Nothing beats the taste of homegrown fruit & vegetables, picked at their maximum amount of sweetness, unless of course, you like them a bit unripe. Why not get the most nutritious, best quality produce to eat & save money at the same time! Champa Nursery sells tropical/sub-tropical & deciduous fruit trees, along with vegetables & flowers rounding out the selection. I bought a healthy 3 gal sapodilla (aka chico) tree here at a great price several years ago, so when I was in the hunt for another fruit tree, I came back to Champa to examine their stock. A small nursery, Champa nonetheless has plenty of merchandise for sale. Before entering, several weeping mulberries & mangoes greet customers. Mangoes are the main emphasis at Champa, with dozens of varieties ranging from the Indian mangoes to the uniquely named Florida mangoes. I believe their wholesaler is a popular Florida nursery. Lychees, java plums, longan, sugar apples & starfruit (carambola) are among the other fruit trees you can expect to find. For my visit, I wanted to check out their green sapotes & purple caimitos. The sole worker greeted me and helped me on my quest. He was a friendly Hispanic man whom I conversed with in my broken Spanish. He first showed me their caimitos, which were minute in availability & ugly in appearance. To my understanding caimitos are more tropical in nature and don't do well unprotected in our climate. Plus, Champa only had the green kind, whereas I'm interested in purple. So, no caimito for me. Next, he showed me their green sapotes. Champa had a sizeable number of green sapotes, from 3 gal to 7 gal. I found the best looking 3 gal to find, and I was ready to take my baby home. The worker wrote me a receipt, bagged my new tree for me & place it inside my truck, thanking me for patronizing the nursery. Service was good. The Hispanic gentleman was hospitable & quick to help me find what I wanted. The owner, Jimmy, even left some cuttings of a particular leafy green for me to take home. I communicated with him prior to my visit, asking if he had the aforementioned fruit trees & leafy green I was interested in. He replied he didn't have the leafy green for sale, but he'd gift me some cuttings to take home, which I'm very appreciative for. Parking is in a teeny tiny private lot, with street parking for the spill over. Champa Nursery should be your first stop for finding the more uncommon fruit trees to grow. Prices are competitive & quite reasonable, compared to other nurseries in LA & Orange County. I'm happy that I have all the fruit trees I want in my collection, but when the itch strikes & desire emerges to add yet another fruit tree to my urban homestead, I'm content to know Champa is there to quell my gardening hunger.
