Our wedding day back in May 2024 ended up being a great time but leading up to and succeeding our wedding day has been a nightmare... We participated in the promo deal in which we had to pay a lump sum upfront to help with improvements with the venue; which included a glass arboretum which we were told would be complete by February 2024 and is still not complete from what we have been told from other couples who have reached out and toured the property. Per our contract we could "cash out" vendors at certain amounts and substitute them with vendors of our choice. Per our contract "cash out" amounts we are to be owed around $3k, which the owner Jason and I agreed to. Fast forward about 6 months later we still have not received a dime of what we are owed per contract. He has told me we'd be reimbursed a certain day, that day comes around and nothing. Now, I have not heard from Jason in about 2 months. As other reviews state, communication is a big problem. It is a task to get into contact with Jason and weddings are already stressful enough but even more so when the venue is inconsistent and not transparent with communication. Just one example is when we asked if the glass arboretum for the reception area would be complete in time for our wedding. Jason gave us the run around and my mother in law ended up reaching out to the construction company directly to get the answer. Yes, the venue is wonderful but the amount of added stress and lack of professionalism from the owner is not worth booking your wedding or event here. This place is absolutely breathtaking! Apparently it's a former home turned into a venue. I attended a fundraising event here and it was the perfect backdrop for it. It's definitely off the beating path of major highways but I think that's part of its charm. There was plenty of parking and the wait staff I did encounter were amazing. And that sunset set over the lake will literally take your breath away. I was in such awe almost forgot to take the pic of it lol. read more

Scam scam scam. Do not ever book here whether that be for a wedding or event!!! Check all reviews first!!! We bought tickets in 06/24 for a holiday party 12/24. After months of no communication or posts I had to chase and message for weeks to get details and they finally cancelled the event 1.5 weeks before. They did not cancel publicly but in my dm. We were refunded bc I disputed to my credit card but we didn't get back the money we spent on booking a hotel and car service and dresses and hair appointments. As a guest, this place was too good to be true. Lots of bugs from the pond close by even with fan, dirty, and not maintained. Cans everywhere from a previous event, and messy landscaping. Rooms not cleaned and checked prior to wedding day. The wedding ceremony area was full of weeds in the pathway, guests were picking before the ceremony to give the bride good pictures. Do not ignore the bad reviews!!! I will try my best to summarize how disasters my wedding planning and wedding day went all because of Jason Lottmann. Communication: When initially booking/touring, we would receive email responses from Jason about 10+ times a day answering all our questions, thoughts and concerns, making the booking process fairly quick and easy.....a few months down the road when we started having concerns about the venue and lots of questions, that's when we wouldn't receive any response from Jason. It would take anywhere from 1-5 emails and a time span of 1-4 weeks to get a response that typically looked like "we will get you an answer this week" (we would never get an answer). This wasn't just a one-time thing; this was how Jason communicates with his clients after they fully pay him and sign contracts. Venue Upgrades: The reason we agreed to tour Champagne Manor was because they were advertising a new glass ballroom + more venue upgrades coming spring 2024 (our wedding was fall 2024). Without the new glass ballroom upgrade, I would never have considered having my wedding there simply because I don't like the plastic tent they were using as the reception area. When we signed our contract, we were promised the glass ballroom and other venue upgrades for our wedding...after months of bugging Jason for a response to simple question such as "can we get an update on the glass ballroom" it finally took him until the a month before my wedding to tell us that he wasn't able to upgrade to the glass ballroom, which is excuse was he didn't want to ruin a month worth of wedding by Turing the venue into a construction zone....But anyone would be able to tell you that that's something you think about ahead of time and not after you make clients pay for the price of the glass ballroom... Jason then told us that instead of the glass ballroom, he will upgrade his current white tent to a glass building...that also was never upgraded so we didn't get any new upgrades and were stuck with he same white plastic tent.... Money: When we signed our contract and paid half of the contract price, we were paying more $$$ for the fact that we will have the upgraded glass ballroom + more upgrades. A few weeks after signing, Jason had sent us an email "FINAL PROMOTION" basically saying if we pay our remaining balance or "up to 10k" he will give is 25% cash back a month before the wedding "great way to make money" so we discussed with Jason and each other and thought it was a good idea. At this point, our balance is paid, and Jason will be owing US money for the promo deal....after that, Jason had sent out a few more promotions which we did not take part in since we didn't have a balance with him anymore. Fast forward to a month before the wedding when we get news that we will not have the glass ballroom, we felt we should not be paying for the glass ballroom and that's not what we are getting.. contract states that if the glass ballroom isn't up by your wedding date, you are eligible for a full refund. So, we did what made sense and asked for a partial refund. After going back and forth with Jason about the refund, he then tried to say he will give us our requested refund but will have to waive the "promo deal refund"....what??????? of course we did not accept that!!! Now that left Jason owing us a partial refund for the glass ballroom we never got, and what was owed to us for the promo deal. From the date we were supposed to get out refund til today (4 weeks after my wedding) we have NOT received our refund from Jason except for $587.50. We made sure to remind him almost on a daily basis of what he owes us and he would tell us every time that we will get our money on this date, that date and we would never get it.... Since we didn't get the ballroom, we had to have our reception where our ceremony was which was outside and I brought it to Jasons attention that he need to figure out a way tp lighten up the reception area since there are no lights when it gets dark...He told us he would try to figure something out but never did. I had to use my own money to buy candles/holder to make sure my gusts has some sort of light so the reception isn't pitch black... Also on our wedding day, we were getting phone calls from our vendors in the morning telling us no one was at the venue setting and and that the venue was "trashed" from the wedding the days before. I had to get friends and family member to rush over to the venue to start cleaning up the venue since Jason and his two helpers were no where to be found helping out. During our reception, the wedding planner was walking about and handing out to the guests PLASTIC CUPS because Jason wasn't able to provide glass wine cups as well as my guests had an arrangement of white and pink napkins on the tables because Jason also couldn't make sure there were enough white napkins for my wedding day...... read more

Our experience with Champagne Manor was incredibly disappointing and aligned with many of the negative reviews on google and the wedding websites. The event was poorly executed, and there was not a single positive aspect to highlight. Communication was lacking and the so-called all-inclusive services fell short (the caterer said he is the worst venue he has ever hosted at). The setup and overall organization were chaotic. After researching the owner, Jason, we discovered multiple pending lawsuits with some pretty serious allegations. It's disheartening to think others may be misled by the potential this venue might have from his well rehearsed sales pitch. I strongly advise against considering this place for any event--run away as fast as you can. read more

Not only that but Jason, the owner, is super flexible, available, and helpful! He really made the process so much easier. We got married at Champagne Manor in the spring of 2022 and unfortunately, there were some weather challenges which we accepted and understood as we know that you cannot change mother nature. With that being said, there were many other issues that we faced that day. While the facility is elegant and esthetically pleasing, there were numerous maintenance and staffing issues which greatly undermined the safety of the event and enjoyment of our guests. According to our signed contact, the tent area should have been in clean condition upon our arrival on the morning of our wedding but this was not the case. The floor of the tent had been flooded and the guest chairs were soiled with bird droppings. No less than six of my family members spent a minimum of 3 hours cleaning chairs and completely drying the newly polished marble floor to help to eliminate a slipping hazard. In the early afternoon prior to the wedding, a small microburst storm came diagonally across the lake and resulted in high winds and rain that entered the tent, flooded the floor (again), turned tables over, smashed vases, and damaged electronic equipment. As the storm was approaching, my family members tried to close and secure the tent walls, only to discover that none of them would close properly. All of the tent wall zippers were broken and very few of the latches could be engaged. Some of my family friends cleaned up broken glass, mopped up water that flooded the reception area floor, and reset table decorations. The lack of proper tent maintenance caused great stress and damage to property as well as placed people at risk. Furthermore, the tent is equipped with several electrical receptacles along the perimeter. The power to these electrical receptacles did not work with any acceptable level of reliability, if at all. Apparently Champagne Manor was aware that this was an ongoing issue but had yet to resolve the issue or find an alternative means of supplying adequate power to the area. Our caterer was extremely stressed and had to borrow power from our DJ's generator for her carving station. There were numerous light bulbs out in the three chandeliers inside of the tent. One of our guests had to climb on a tall ladder to replace seven bulbs in one of the chandeliers and was unable to replace bulbs in the other two. Given Champagne Manor's prior knowledge of the maintenance issues, there should have been readily available maintenance staff on hand with the skill set to resolve problems as they arose but unfortunately, this was not the case. Later on in the day, a second and much larger storm struck at the very beginning of our reception, forcing guests inside the manor. Again, had we been able to secure and zip-up the tent walls, it may have been possible to complete the event outside with minimal disruption. The bar was constantly backed up due to lack of staffing. Several of our wedding guests had to step in and help bartend because there were not enough bartenders available. The bar ran out of various liquors and beer. This should not have been an issue as approximately twenty percent of our wedding guests left the venue after the second storm struck. In my opinion, given the amount of money paid for the venue and bar services, these are not issues that a bride and groom, nor their family members or guests, should face on their wedding day. I reached out to Champagne Manor following my wedding regarding the above issues, however, I did not receive a response back. I just wanted to spread the word so that future couples do not run into the same challenges that we did with this venue. read more

I wish I could give a 5 star review because our wedding was beautiful. However, the aftermath has been a nightmare. We participated in the promo deal where we paid everything upfront for the promo deal. Per contract we were told that anything that we chose to not use in the package we would be able to "cash out" and be reimbursed for the services we did not use. We didn't use their caterer or photographer and paid separately out of pocket for our own. Fast forward to after our March wedding, I reached out to get the reimbursement and was told is would be in the mail that week. When it didn't arrive, I reached out again and was given an excuse as to why it hadn't been sent and was told it would be in the mail again. Again, never received it so I was told we could come by and pick up a check .. Then something came up to where they weren't going to be there that day so we could get it another day or it could be left in the mailbox. I said it could be left in the mailbox and I never got a response. For 5 months I have been given countless excuses and promises that the $6900 we are owed would be arriving end of day/week. I even offered to do pay pal & was promised it would come that way and nothing. I've sent countless messages and reminders and still have yet to receive payment that is contractually due to us. Unfortunately we are now taking this to small claims court because at this point I have been dragged around by unfulfilled promises. I really loved our wedding and I loved the vendor, but this has been an absolute nightmare and I feel like my forgiveness & kindness has been taken advantage of. Countless times I have extended grace and said that we would work with them if they are having money troubles because we are human and we understand, but even that has gotten us nowhere. I am now pregnant dealing with 2 losses of recent fur babies that have affected our family financially and & this has been an added stress to my life that I do not wish upon anyone else. read more

Cyndi and mike ensured my day flawless, and they went the extra mile throughout my entire planning process. They suggested the best vendors I could have ever found, and I received so many compliments on how beautiful my wedding was because champagne manor was the perfect backdrop. I highly recommend this venue to any and all brides. There is not a single thing I would change! Extremely disappointed in the Champagne Manor. We were very excited and looking forward to attending a wedding there this past weekend. We drove all the way down from NJ for this wedding. The pictures on their website make the place look absolutely stunning. Today was finally the day and it was raining out. The wedding was suppose to be an outside wedding. You would think that any wedding place would be able to accommodate a wedding if it was to rain, NOT. If it rains, your wedding will be totally destroyed at this place! They cannot accommodate an indoor wedding nor an outdoor wedding if it rains. They show these absolutely beautiful pictures online of this manor but you never go inside the manor; only the wedding party. And if you do as a guest, the owners are very nasty. They set up a large tent outside for the reception if it's raining, but if you have to go to the bathroom you're in trouble. You have to go out into the pouring rain to the back of the manor to go to the bathroom. Yes, it's totally uncovered out in the open. So now you're soaked and you have to go back into the reception where the floors and table cloths are all wet because they can't keep the water from coming into the tents. They spent the whole night trying to push the water out. Table cloths were wet, people were getting soaked and freezing. People were leaving early because they couldn't handle the conditions. And the parking lot was a muddy mess! Forget about wearing nice shoes, because after this they are destroyed! And the owner thought it was funny that people were driving through the mud and not on the stone. The stone was only in one strip going down, not where you parked. Also, if it's raining the whole bridal party has to walk out into the rain to get into the tent to have the ceremony. So by the time they get into the tent, they're all wet. They tried using a patio umbrella to get everyone out to the tent. You can imagine how that worked! The bride and groom made the best of it and looked wonderful, but I really felt bad for them! Overall, I'm sure if it was beautiful out it would have been beautiful. But it it's raining, my suggestion is to have a backup plan and do NOT have it there! read more

It was a rainy day, so things were automatically worse. The only inside facility they have is a cement slab with a tent. But, that would be okay to, if that is what you are looking for. We asked the owner for over an hour to put up the tent flaps at the entrance because rain and wind were blowing in and we could not finish the decorations. The table cloth kept blowing up into the cupcakes and table cloths were blowing off the tables. He was too busy walking around with his squeegee trying to keep the water out (the tent is too small and water comes under it and puddles on the concrete). You would think after paying someone 7K for one day, they could be a little nice. He constantly asked us to move our cars before we could get all of the decorations unloaded. Needless to say, dealing with the public is not his strongest asset. His wife was very nice and accommodating to anything we asked, so if you need anything ask her instead of him. read more
