I had a very bad experience and would not recommend them and will not use them again. It's a very long story about all the issues so I will summarize. They replaced the roof and immediately I noticed damage to the interior of my home. The damage consisted of cracked ceilings. Freedom Roofing didn't want to take responsibility for the damage or the repairs. I was forced to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to try to entice action by the company. The company did not response in the required 14 days and I had to call the BBB to ask them to illicit a response from the company. When prompted Freedom finally responded. Inept drywall people came to my home and repaired the cracks and painted the ceilings a different ceiling color and did a poor job on the repair. I called the owner of Freedom Roofing and he came to my home and agreed the ceiling job looked poor and asked me to get an estimate for a paint job to fix the job his company botched. I got an estimate and submitted it to him and he deducted it from the balance I owed him for the roof job. This process took 5 long months. I am sure the company would of not taken responsibility but for the fact that I filed a complaint with the BBB. There were many other issues, but that was one main one. Hampton's has been difficult throughout the process of replacing our countertops. We have worked…read morewith Lindsay, who is very pleasant, but does not work quickly to rectify issues. I found a granite pattern that I liked in August, and I was sent to Carstin Brands in Arthur, IL to pick out a slab. Upon arriving in Authur, I was told that I can't pick out slab there as it was the fabrication warehouse, and I needed to go to Schaumburg to the showroom. An hour drive each way to Arthur resulted in a wasted day. I went to Schaumburg and picked out my slab, no issues there. The slab was installed at the end of August. The installers from Carstin (the fabricator) were professional and timely. Immediately after installation, I noticed several spots that were chipped or filled with a rough, gray putty-like substance. I contacted Lindsay to rectify the issue, and she attempted to facilitate a solution with Carstin. Fast forward to November, the spots still had not been fixed, and I had made several attempts to contact Carstin with no return call- and the answer from Hampton's repeatedly was that "billing has been made aware" so that we would not be responsible for the balance until the spots were corrected. Carstin finally came out to fix the spots after I stated that I would not be recommending Hampton's or Carstin based on this experience. I waited to pay the balance until a new statement was issued, just in case we were charged for the repairs. Sure enough, I just received the statement and we were charged for the repairs!! I have made several attempts to contact Hampton's and stated that we will not pay for the repairs charged, with no return correspondence. This company clearly does not stand by their work, and I will not recommend them to anyone. I love my countertops, but I am very disappointment with this experience.
