I've tried so many times to like this place but every time I come I am completely disappointed. They're always in a hurry and they get irritated if you pick a color that ends up looking horrible ON and then you request a new color. My nails came out so THICK even though I kept telling her they're TOO THICK. Of course she blamed my own natural nails on that even though it was clearly the acrylic powder. smh. My mother-in-law and I went in this morning to get pedicures, and we were highly disappointed with the results. She has nail polish all over her big toe, and overall, they just look horrible--especially for the price we paid. Additionally, we were never offered anything to drink, while everyone else was. Ok, I've had perfect service on my pedicures with Luu, every time. It's nice and peaceful with soft sounds and quiet. BUT, today I wanted to treat my sister for her birthday with a manicure. AWFUL! The male who served her did not massage, no scrub, no lotion. Just cuticles and clear polish. Am I missing something? I love this place for my pedicures! The Spa is clean and has a very calming atmosphere while feeling luxurious at the same time. The chairs are very comfortable and the options for massage are amazing! All of the nail technicians I've had have been very nice and knowledgeable! read more

Super clean inside and beautiful! The ladies were nice and welcoming but the lady didn't listen at all. I asked for a fill and color change. The lady proceeded to take off the acrylic off completely inside of a fill and told me it would be $65 total! I stopped her from continuing and paid for the arcylic take off and I'm now off to another shop where they hopefully listen carefully and don't charge me extra for a simple service. read more

The 2nd time I went in for a fill my nails were filed extremely crooked, I asked if I could come back and I walked out with unfinished nails. When I arrived my nail tech was busy I waited 30 mins. I go here every two to three weeks to get my manis and pedis. They're always busy so if you want to go here it's better to call ahead and ask if they can get you in. I just notice that so many file in and some are turned away because they're so busy. Many times though they do squeeze in. Anyhow I go to the same gal every time, however all the gals and guys who do the work are really good! You will have a good experience no matter who you get, from what I've seen around me when I'm there. The clients are always nice too, we get to chatting a little bit and complementing each other on the choices. They take their time and are always courteous and open to suggestions and making sure that you are left feeling pampered and fresh. They even offer some beverages if you're getting a pedicure. The lighting and ambiance is nice, with soft spa music playing in the background. I'm so glad I found this place after leaving Sacramento. I was worried as I had a very long relationship with a gal who did my manicures for at least a decade. I tried several other places, like the one in the Marysville WalMart. I don't want to say too much but they are not that great. They even hurt me one of the two times I went there. Now I know I'll never go back. I just make sure that I make my appointments at Champaka immediately. read more

Beautiful place and really great atmosphere! They offer complimentary drinks if you spend a certain amount of money. My sister had a fantastic experience, but my esthetician clipped my finger pretty badly :( she rushed through and it bled a lot. I've been in a few times. The last two times I've been in were for a Manicure and pedicure. Manicure: it's been one week and about 4 of my nails have nail polish chipping off, very noticeable. I've never experienced this before, it's like it can just be peeled off if I wanted to do so. Pedicure: not the greatest with it comes to foot scrub the rest was ok. The packaged state the nail polish was included but of course there is always a catch with Gel. This was a $15 catch to add gel to your pedicure. I have gone to Champaka several times. For nails and Pedis. I really wouldn't normally post a complaint, however...one reason I stopped going to them was, every Pedi they used a dremel to remove old gel polish. My nails got very thin. I went today for a pedicure after having gone somewhere else for the last 5 months and the "tech" burned me so many times sanding off my old polish. My nails are thin again, and also...gel polish is bubbled... have to redo it. These photos are seriously the same day as my pedi. Also, she rubbed the scrub into my legs for probably 1-2 minutes. Didn't even get a hot towel like it said, didn't even get the lotion rubbed in just put on my legs like a glob, told them I wanted my nails short and had in ingrown, didn't listen to me with what I wanted, I tried talking and I know most will say "maybe they didn't hear you". My very first impression when I walked in was that it was very clean, relaxing, and quiet. I walked in without an appointment and got a gel pedicure - waited approximately 2 minutes for a seat on a Tuesday morning. The tech was thorough, gentle, and listened to my wants. On 3/26 I came in as a 1st time customer. The environment was nice, relaxing and I felt appropriate safety measures were in place. I paid $138 for my services & tip, gladly paying for upgrades. I received a gel pedi & dip manicure. In less than 24 hours I had 2 nails where the half the dip had completely come off in large sections. Came in with my daughter's and we had an appointment but for some reason had a long wait and then they didn't even see us at the same time. My girls had to wait 15 minutes after I got started with a pedicure :/ we were all in for mani pedis but they didn't do their toes next to me in my chair they did their nails 1st then when I went to get my nails done they moved them to the other side of the salon to do their toes. I didn't like that at all. On top of that the lines on my toes (I did a French tip) were slanted so now my toes look crooked. I wish it ended there but it doesn't. My gel manicure was great until I noticed my right hand ring finger. My nail had been glued to the tip of my finger, the gel polish must have gotten under my nail which had never happened to me anywhere else I've ever gone. Huge disappointment and painful. My daughter also mentioned one of her fingers being burned under the uv light. Very unprofessional. As far as the free champagne or wine goes, I spent $160 and wasn't even offered water. The place is clean and very very relaxing. I love that packages include a variety of drinks. The only reason I didn't give them the full 5 star rating is that one of the ladies did cut my daughter while doing a manicure . I had already told one of the other staff that she was scared of getting cut and then she gets cut. It wasn't anything too bad but still this shouldn't happen especially to a kid. I've only been here twice. The 1st time, I was very impressed. This 2nd time, I was disappointed. It was going great until the my toes were painted. The gal who started my pedicure left me and someone else took over. She rushed through painting my nails and they looked awful. It even got worse later when my nails were fully dry. The clear top coat was not applied to cover my entire nails and when it dried, you could see the distinct lines where the top coat was not applied. The paint started chipping in 2 days. The salon is super clean and the experience is great, but if it wasn't for the poor paint job, I'd return. But after spending $65 on a pedicure, I expect my nails to look good. read more
