I immediately reached out to the West Herr Nissan dealership at 4:30. After waiting an hour for a return call, I placed a second call. The service manager instructed me not to drive, and to have the vehicle towed to their dealership. The service manager then stated that they would not be able to look at my vehicle until Friday or Monday. My choices, a 15-hour bus ride home, a one-way car rental, or an extended stay at a hotel with no transportation until they figured it out. John at Lamarco's Auto Service, an extremely kind gentleman, put me in contact with Chuck at Transmission Exchange. Upon my arrival, my car was immediately put on a lift and the issue identified as a rotted transmission hose. During my wait, Chuck did everything in his power to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I was even invited to join the crew for lunch! Transmission Exchange diagnosed the issue, completed the repair and I was on the road within a couple of hours. After my negative experience with West Herr, I had given up on receiving any kind compassion regarding my circumstances. A big thanks to Chuck, Mom & the crew for restoring my faith in the humanity. When i first went there Chuck was very nice and friendly. called me back within a couple hours to let me know that my transmission needed to be rebuilt. He said it would take a few days. My vehicle ended up being there for 9 days before i got it back from the transmission rebuilt!!! when i got it back, immediately i knew something was wrong so took it back and spoke with Joe. Joe claims he drive it around and also had the owner Chuck drive it and both said it drives perfectly. Another week goes by and i take it back because its definately not driving perfectly as they said it was. Now this time Joe said oh yea i feel what youre talking about i think its the motor mounts but we dont fix that here we only do transmission work so youll have to take it to a general shop. Immediately i took it to another shop and within 10 minutes they found that one of the engine mounts was left loose and the bracket was damaged! This was NOT an issued before i took my car to Transmission Exchange and the fact that they refuse to help me now that they got their money is unbelievable!!! I will never go there again nor recommend anyone to trust these people with their vehicle. DONT DO IT!!! Every few years I've traded up for a newer golf cart, as I'm on my 4th one from Dan's business and am ready for another trade soon. I even rented a few carts for a wedding that we had on the Lake Ontario a few years back and Dan & his crew were very accommodating! The first couple of carts I had were gas golf carts which did require more maintenance -- and once again Dan or one of his supervisors would send someone out to pick it up and drop off a loaner for me! Their ser was outstanding & the repair costs were very reasonable. About 6 or 7 years ago I switched over to battery carts and haven't had ANY issues. Three of my neighbors have bought used golf carts from them and have been delighted with their experience!! He is from this area and is a trusted neighborhood businessman. I was in a horrible accident in Warsaw and crushed between 2 trucks. I was on my way to a festival as a vendor and had thousands of dollars of merchandise in my car. My partner called Terry when I was in the hospital and Terry made arrangements with the local towing company to store my vehicle inside a locked facility until it he could have it towed back to his garage so I could try to salvage as much of my merchandise as possible. The car was a complete loss, he was not going to make any money out of this. He did it all because that is just who he is, a decent man and friend to all of his customers.

Well the service isn't exactly what I expected it to be. Initially when I had posted the request…read morefor the work to be done on my truck I wanted both of the front side hub assemblies, 4X4 actuators, upper control arms with ball joints, lower ball joints, outer tie rods, sway bar linkages, pre-assembled strut assemblies and the sway bar bushings replaced in addition to that I also wanted the spark plugs and coil packs replaced. After discussing the information we had decided on $1,200 for all the work that needed to be done. (He originally wanted $2,300 to complete the job but then offered to drop it dramatically if I promised to give him five stars and a good review which I won't lie I took full advantage of, and would have followed through with it had he done a good job but that wasn't the case) I agreed upon half up front and half afterwards. I was told that it would take approximately a day and a half two days to accomplish this. After about a week the suspension was finally done for the most part (he didn't even know what half the parts were that I handed him were for and on top of that he wouldn't put the sway bar bushings on) BUT after that my brake line was broken and he showed up multiple times with inadequate tools he needed for the job, he stated that he had to get additional help. After not completing the job I kind of wondered where he had went. Come to find out that he was arrested and that's why he didn't come back, I had given him a total of $750 before he disappeared. After his incarceration which was approximately a week or so I did not hear from him after that and I had to replace the brake line myself in addition to that I had to finish or I am finishing the spark plugs and Not to mention he had hardly anything for tools or supplies and I had to supply them as well. He isn't very knowledgeable when it comes to the motors not quite sure what he is and isn't capable of but I do know that I've worked on cars for the past 20 years but due to a back condition I can no longer sustain the ability to do so. From his lack of knowledge I would have to say that this guy might be good to change your brakes maybe some light bulbs and that would probably be about it. Anything else that takes the slightest bit of knowledge I would not trust him alone with your vehicle if you wish for it to be done correctly. Also one final bit of information the buddy that he brought along i can't quite remember his name but he was the man that did the majority of the work and was more professional than the guy that is supposedly running this company and apparently he can't work without him glued to his hip as he doesn't seem to know what he's doing. so I guess that's a positive and a negative at the same time. But that concludes the encounter I had with this company. Approach with caution!
