But, both Cari and the sales manager where VERY honest about that and did not try and play any games to get to me to buy with them; or offer something they couldn't provide. They keep the truck over night call and tell me that don't have the parts which was idea of the appointment. When they call and told they didn't have the parts to fix the truck it was going a couple of weeks . I go pick up and the miraculous find the parts and they started take my truck apart. I just got of my uber . Four hours more is there battle cry . Uber home to finish my work day to uber back . Guess after four hours the truck is not done . I sit for one and a half to get my truck . I made an Internet inquiry about a used Tesla that was in stock. After no response to my inquiry, I finally called the dealership and was told that the car was still available. I made an appointment to come in and look at it and test drive. I drove over to the dealership, was greeted by Da'Juan, the sales rep, and went through the introduction and scanning my license for the test drive. Da'Juan went back to have the vehicle pulled up, and came back a short time later telling me that the vehicle was in the service bay and not able to be seen or driven because of some issue with a software message. So this trip was a complete and total waste of my time. I subsequently found another car at a local dealership who seemed to value my time a little more than Champion. I tried to do business with a local dealer being that I'm in Avon also, but apparently they did not value that. read more

We went in to look at a car this past weekend and I regret having stopped at all. Although the car itself was nice, dealing with management was an awful experience. The beginning started with us almost walking out due to the long wait to talk to anyone. Our sales person was nice and answered most questions however once we started trying to put in an offer on the car we were ignored and it took three days. Many phone calls later the manager finally returned our car and we were given a long explanation that they don't lower their prices as they are already the lowest around. We weren't asking for that much of a reduction so beware of that. We walked away feeling bewildered that their profit margins were so low that all they could lower was $200 on a $40k vehicle. Arrived for my noon appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and filter replacement (30 minutes of work, tops) and almost immediately received a text with a link to the app to track the progress of the work. 1 1/2 hours later checked the app only to find that my car was not, yet, even in inspection, very well having been begun to be worked on. I replied to the text, noting that my car had not been started, asking for an update. After hearing no reply for 25 minutes, I walked into the service reception area to ask about my car. After 10 minutes of being ignored, I finally saw the service manager and asked where Kyle was. He didn't know! But another guy said that he was at lunch. When he arrived and I asked about my car he had to go check and returned to tell me that it was being worked on and should be 15 more minutes. That was 14 minutes ago. I've now been here for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Their app still shows no progress at all. This isn't the first excessive wait here, but it will be the last. read more

We took our vehicle to Champion Chevrolet on March 20, 2026 for a recurring problem with "death wobble" -- an absolutely terrifying issue that happens at interstate speed after hitting a bump. They had worked on it on 2 previous occasions and thought the issue fixed. Unfortunately, it reoccurred on the interstate as we were leaving town for a 2 week trip. We turned around and took it back to Champion Chevrolet fully expecting them to work on finding a solution while we were gone. We never blamed them or mentioned cost. We just wanted our vehicle fixed and safe to drive. After hearing nothing from them, my husband called Champion on April 2, 2026 (Business day 8) only to be told they could not reproduce the death wobble. He told them, once again, where it had happened multiple times and urged them to test it there. Once again, no mention of cost concerns from us. We did not hear anything from them. We returned home and my husband went to Champion on April 8, 2026 (Business day 13) only to discover they had done nothing despite the phone call. Shop foreman, Frank, told my husband that they couldn't drive cars all over town to figure out what is wrong. So, we took it out to the exact area it occurs and filmed the death wobble at interstate speed, and returned to Champion. My husband met with service manager, Shane Combs, who seemed shocked about the situation. My husband told Shane that we never set a budget and we just wanted our vehicle fixed, but we needed it back by April 14 at the latest. On Business day 15, we were told they were going to try a part swap solution but likely would not be able to swap parts before Monday, April 13. When asked why they could not do before the weekend, Shane said they had a corporate customer who took priority. So, parts were swapped on Business day 16 and my husband test drove with shop foreman, Frank. Solution seemed to work but parts had to be ordered for our vehicle. On April 14, 2026 (Business day 17) we paid and picked up our UNFIXED vehicle from Champion Chevrolet. Service manager, Shane Combs, was totally unapologetic and took zero responsibility for his department's lack of communication or taking our concerns seriously. He even stated he was happy they found the solution. I would have been happy if they had found the solution before Business day 16 and actually fixed my vehicle in a timely manner. The dealership knew days in advance that my wife and I would be coming on Saturday to view the PORSCHE' and even knew the time. Any appt was scheduled. After over and hour trip there, the vehicle was not cleaned up as promised, was out of gas and tires were in need of replacement. The vehicle was not, in any way, ready for our arrival or even ready for resale. Management wouldn't meet our offer, which was extremely fair for us having to put 1700-2000 dollars in tires on the vehicle if we purchased it. Pretty much a waste of a long drive for no purchase. People should really live up to what they tell others. Wouldn't recommend. Vehicle was overpriced by 3000 dollars for the same year of vehicle that others have listed for sale. The Salesman said great I'll get the car ready, only to call me back and say that his GM took the car home and it wouldn't be available to see until the next day. I made an appointment the next day to see it and an hour before I get a text that the car wasn't available, not sold, but was just not going to be available for a couple a days. I am guessing the GM really likes the car and doesn't want it sold. I feel bad for the salesman, he will be missing a commission on the car. The Kelly Blue Book trade-in lead generation feature is purely a bait and switch. KBB will give you one number and the on-site "vehicle acquisition team" will give you a number that's 40% less. I understand if the on-site numbers are more realistic but the difference is shocking. Given my research, I definitely felt they were WAY low-balling me. Profit margin is profit margin but know your value for sure. The sales person went through all the predictable car sale shenanigans..asking the qualifiying questions and trying to steer me into what they had in inventory versus what I had made clear was my desired vehicle. They even did the old "take my keys" for his "manager to check my trade-in" trick...even after the salesperson said "we don't do that here". Such a sham....so dumb. My wife took her used 2013 Chevy Captiva with maybe 20k miles on it, that we bought at Champion Chevy of Avon, back to Champion because the key would not come out the ignition. Before that I tried it for myself and I could hear a clunk, like a contact or relay under the dash and figured there was a safety interlock of some sort that was failing. I told my wife to tell them this. I also found info online about a recall for this type of situation for several GM vehicles which Champion never took into consideration and just poo pooed that idea away. Champion told her it was the ignition cylinder, which I didn't agree with, and $500 later she had a new ignition. Shortly after that it failed again and I just drove it for the first time in a long time today and it failed on me twice. You have to jiggle and wiggle and hold your mouth just right and it might come out. She took it back and they said it had something spilled on the console and that her hanging a small trash bag on the shifter was the problem. They claimed they disassembled the shifter console and cleaned it. All should be well. NOT!!!!! The trash bag is no longer hung on the shifter and it still fails. When it failed on me twice today I could still hear the clunk under the dash when you engage button on the shifter. I suppose at this point since Champion obviously can't or is incapable of fixing the problem that I'll have to fix it myself or find someone who can. My point is, they took $500 from me for services that gave no result fixing the problem. If fell like I was ripped off. This used to be Dugan Chevrolet for years. Family owned and operated with an emphasis on good service after the sale. Ive bought several cars there over the years, including the two I own now, one being the Captiva. Both those I bought under the Champion banner. Needless to say I'm very discouraged and disappointed in the treatment I've gotten from Champion Chevy of Avon. I'm not going to waste my time going back and they've lost a good customer. I would not, nor could not recommend Champion Chevy of Avon and I'll be sure to share this experience with everyone I know and encourage them to tell their friends. I would highly recommend avoiding this place! I have tried to purchase 2 new and 1 used vehicle here over the past couple years and they where so far out of line on pricing it was almost funny. However their service department is even less honest than sales. I bought a car at another dealer for a much better price and decided to take it to champion for a very straight forward add on service. They quoted me a price over the phone and then again when I dropped it off. When I picked it up it was $100 more than what I was quoted twice. When questioned I got told they don't know who would have told me that and that this was the cost. They where very defensive and obviously did not care about honoring what they told me. I have been here a few times for minor services. Each time I received an oil change, when I return home I have noticed oil drippings in my garage . The result of this is , the technicians were to lazy to clean the residual oil from the chassis after the oil filter was removed . I have stains in my garage from this and I have to clean up the mess properly myself.After this last visit I wanted to see what the inspection report would show as I know I needed a few things . As expected, the insepction showed nothing. Everything was perfect on the sheet. What actually was needed were as follows: My air filter needed replacing , my tires needed replacing ( the RR was 6 pounds low because of a nail) , windshield wipers needed replacing and the transmission fluid was dirty . Lastly, the oil change took 1:15 minutes and the price was different then the last oil change . I sent an email to express my displeasure and have not received any sort of response. Extremely Rude and UnpIt starts from the very first phone call. Mike Rose was extremely pushy with an extremely aggressive and aggravated tone of voice. When I finished making the appointment, he said nothing just hung up. A few hours later when I arrived for the appointment I walked inside to be meet my the greeting staff who signaled mike. He approached then we proceeded out the door. I have never been to a dealership where the salesmen are not polite and hold doors for their potential customers. He opened the door and proceed right through letting it close in front of me. We went outside took basic specifications on my vehicle and when back in while it was being appraised. Up until this point he was been on his phone twice texting. We walk back outside to look at potential replacements. We found only one. He asked if i wanted to test drive and I said I would like to see the outcome on my vehicle first before I start dealing on another. You could see the frustration all over his face. We then went back inside to sit wheel the appraiser took his sweet time (about an hour) to appraise my vehicle. In the mean time Mike was on his phone across from me. Every know and then he would look up and ask a question and make eye contact but when I respond his attention was on everything else ( mostly his phone) but on his client. They came back with the appraisal. It was significantly low to offset the KBB 4K over deal they have going on. Mike then tried to tell me that the appraiser said Mike tires, that have 1200 miles on them, are illegal and need to be replaced. He reduced the price $1650 for tires!!! One they are not illegal or else they couldn't be sold here. When I responded that is a bit low and started to make a counter I noticed Mike was already reaching for a business card. I made a counter.... we were 2k apart. He stood up said thanks, have a safe trip, and handed me a cards. Once again no sales, no haggling, no negotiation, and didn't walk me out the door. After finalizing all of the paperwork, the salesman suspiciously switched the blue Cruze that I originally chose for a grey Cruze because of minor "body damage" & the finance company allegedly wouldn't approve it. The only issue with the grey Cruze was that it had a check engine light & about 5000 more miles. The grey Cruze has been nothing short of a nuisance. After being pressured to purchase the dealership powertrain warranty for an extra $1769 & Gap protection for $1052, the vehicle is still under warranty & the dealership's service department has to get approval to repair the most basic issues that are clearly apart of the power train warranty. Hindsight is 20/20, & I can say confidently that this establishment is full of shady crooks looking to screw over consumers at any & every angle. May God have mercy on your soul. read more

I brought my 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 in for a problem that was happening to the driver side window not indexing correctly. This was a difficult problem that required a whole brand new wiring harness in the driver side door. A wire was pinched in the door that was causing the window problem. Once the new harness was placed in the door everything work correctly. The service advisor Brooks was very professional and courteous during the whole repair keeping me updated thru text and phone calls. They even provided a ride home for me after I dropped my car off. I had been going to a bigger name Chevy dealer over 45 minutes away from home, which wasn't convenient. So I decided to give Champion Chevrolet a try since they are located 10 minutes from my house. I'm so glad that I went to Champion and from now on they will be getting all my business any time my Corvette needs service. I agreed, got half way to the dealership, and was called and told vehilce was not sellable due Service Dept. noticing a recall. I asked what it was, and the salesman couldn't tell me at first. Went and asked and said it was an airbag issue and the car was to go to auction. This makes me not trust your dealership, as 1. Why was it not noticed prior to putting it for sale 2. Why would you tell a customer that had an appt to see it that it was sold 3. Did you sell it to another person and couldn't tell me because they made you more money 4. Was there really another person looking at it, or was it all a bull sales tactic to get me to rush in? Shady, to say the least! I bought a certified pre owned car from campion Chevy of Avon, I bought it in 1/1/15, since I have bought it they said they fixed a recall, the transmission went out, they said they fixed it, it went out again because they missed a piece of metal in the tranny, it went out again and they fixed it and it went out again and they out a brand new tranny in it, now with the brand new transmission it still over heats when I am in the interstate, I have had managers and service people laugh in my face and say I don't have to do anything for you, if I wasn't so young and inexperienced they would probably respect me more. So I went back in to get an oil change today, the service manager got in my face telling me about how the problems I have been having were my fault, he said that if I didn't go in there with an attitude they would have done more for me, but the funny thing about that is that I didn't have an attitude with anyone in there or on the phone until my transmission in my 2012 Cruze has already gone out 3 different times and the manager laughed in my face, I apologize every time I cussed at someone because I understood along the way that it isn't right to do that. But after they told me it was my fault then got in my face again I got upset that they are completely turning things around this place showed me no respect because I am young, they ripped me off on the original purchase of the car and they have screwed me over on all the maintenance. I hope one day this place can finally get there stuff together because I will not be returning. Is there a way to give zero stars? We bought a used car last Saturday, aim to get a used Jeep. When the price was a little to high for us they pleaded with us to stay and look at other options. Ended up with a Chevy that they said had amazing dependability. They showed us a list of everything they did and that everything check out and was a "certified" pre own. Within a week the check engine light came on, auto zone said the internal computer system needed replacing. Called Champion and they said that it wasn't their fault and it was great when they looked at it. Won't look at it without paying them $130 and they "might" bring down the price to fix since we just got it. Very disappointed with the customer service, very deceptive and not forthcoming with used cars. Felt like they were trying to make a buck and didn't care about us. Took my truck in to get an air leak on the driver side window seal fixed and the driver seat back was uneven, showed the stupid lady what the seat back was doing how it would stop adjusting forward on one side before the other and there was a gap where the top of the seat met the bottom. Then showed them where the driver side inside window seal was pushed out and the passenger side was not at all. Idiots kept it for two days and called me to pick it up saying they could not find anything wrong with anything on the truck. Then picked it up later the next day and showed the lady again what it was doing and she said oh we weren't aware of those things!!!!! So she said we will call you tomorrow to get you scheduled to bring your truck back tomorrow...... two weeks later no call hahaha imagine that! Took the truck to York Chevrolet in Greencastle IN. within an hour of taking it there they called me saying the have ordered a new window seal and seat back frame for my truck!
