Problem solving installers and an Owner who doesn't just sit behind his desk smoking a cigar...but in our case came 5 times to check on the job and consult with me. Floor Talk is a locally owned carpet, tile, floor covering supplier, in Dunn. They did an…read moreoutstanding job on installing the wall to wall carpet in my rental cottage. The selection and price of the carpet was competitive. The communication was very good. They called several times to confirm the exact time for installation. I believe they have their own " in house" installation crew. Ezekial, the lead installer, identified all issues ahead of time, was on time, installed the carpet beautifully, and completely cleaned up everything when finished. All scrap pieces and trash were hauled away, and every area was thoroughly vacuumed. They finished early. The overall service was far superior to that of a "big box" store, where typically the installation is subcontracted and selection of carpet more limited.

SHB built our house about 4 years ago. First, there was no garden tub in the master bath as…read moreordered. Then the concrete pad outside the back door was 10'x10' . Far smaller than ordered. The towel rods in the master bath & guest bath were not even - they leaned by as much as 10 degrees. As we have lived in this house for over 4 years now, other shabby work has been exposed. Floodlights installed at front and back door do not work. It's a faulty electric issue that we cannot afford to fix. As we worked our 'FLOWER BEDS' between the shrubs out in front, we kept uncovering large - of concrete. It was as if it they had been thrown there to use as filler instead of soil/get rid of it/disguise it. The "grass" they planted was RYE grass, one of the worst and cheapest of the lawn grasses. It was patchy and ugly. Frankly, the crabgrass looks better than the rye grass! and the INTERIOR WALL PAINT: It's a flat acrylic paint. AND YOU CANNOT CLEAN IT ! If you dry or wet wipe, it leaves a darkened area where you wiped. This is especially bad in the master bath. The walls have gray spots all over every painted surface. It cannot be cleaned! So what do I do? SHB left some of the wall paint in a 5-pound sealed bucket. When I want to clean a wall surface, I have to PAINT OVER IT !!! So every month or so when I deep clean, I walk through every room with some paint in a cup, and I paint over any spots/scratches on the walls. It's just my husband and I, but you'd be surprised at how dirty walls can get ! I've been doing this for over 4 years. Lousy, cheap paint! White baseboards are painted with the same. Baseboards are very hard to keep clean! Normally they would be painted with an enamel paint. Much easier to clean. White columns on the front porch (5) are also painted with this paint! Not an outdoor paint at all I plan to re-paint them with white enamel at some point. But my husband and I are both over 70. We aren't able to make repairs as much as we would like. In summary, the contract to build the house was broken by SHB ! We paid for a garden tub & standing shower; we paid for a concrete back "porch" and we got a pad that barely holds a small table and 2 chairs! In the end, they would only credit us for $500 in total. We had to move on a certain date and so we accepted it. SHB built a lot of houses in our area in 2021. I'm sure they've had problems too. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SIGNATURE HOME BUILDERS TO ANYONE !

We had Seegars install a four rail split rail fence (wood with wire) at our new house. We met with several fence companies but it came down to three things with Seegars: first, their reputation on line was excellent (I couldn't really find a negative comment about them); second, I had seen other Seegars fences and they always looked great; and, finally, their price was ridiculous. The quote for the work was cheaper than the cheapest quote we had for just a chain link fence and was more than $1200 cheaper than the cheapest split rail we came across. We've had the fence now for four or five months and, so far, so good. We're extremely happy with Seegars and, should the need arise, they will be our first choice next time.

No, just no... No!!! These houses are built on crawlspaces--nothing unusual in this area--but the…read morecrawlspace sides are just left plain and unfinished. The result looks much akin to an MPDU (and even then, that's an insult to affordable housing). The model is the only house that looks fairly nice but it's not at all representative of the rest of the houses. Take a drive through the neighborhood and you'll see that the sold/occupied houses look poorly landscaped, poorly kept and poorly planned. There's a house listed north of $360k in this community and it's so hilarious inside. Stop by and see the cheap finishes and oddly placed stairs. Oh, it's also been on the market for almost a year. The developer plans 75 of these monstrosities. I hope they learn some lessons from this first batch and start to add brick or stone to those hideous exposed foundations. And landscaping that costs more than the $200 they spent on each house would probably make the neighborhood look less like a trashy trailer park.

The crew he hired to work on my townhouse did a ok job but it took longer than expected& some issues along the way but luckily I was able to bring those to his attention before they started. I have texted after they completed about some areas needing touched up but they still haven't fixed the areas missed going on over 2 weeks. Just going to call it a day and lesson learned not to pay in full until all work is done.

I noticed lots of drops of paint on the floor. I put a coat on my hardwood floors , getting ready for the new furniture . I noticed paint drops all over. The paint was the color of the walls That 360 used to paint my walls.I Also, looking closer brush marks on the ceiling, not the job I expected , paying over $3000.00 for this service. The areas that were visible were ok but the areas hidden by the furniture were horrible. The pictures tell the story. These are just a few areas. I do not recommend this company, they do seem sincere in the beginning. I trusted them. Too bad .
