Some of our old growth trees in our backyard have been shedding leaves and cones over our roof and causing moss to grow. Today, we had Champion Tree Care Service crew come out to trim and prune the trees in our backyard. They did a fantastic job on our cedars and our hemlock. They also shaped our pear and our camellia. . Climbing the huge trees and cutting off branches and bringing them down safely takes experience and expertise. They worked well as a team and got the job done in less than three hours. That was four cedars, one hemlock, one pear, one camellia and some overhanging branches from our neighbor's tree. They came ready with all the necessary equipment to do the job, including a chipper to pulverize the branches. After the job was done, they took the time to clean up the debris in the yard. We were astonished at the speed, precision, and overall awesomeness of Champion Tree Care. In mid-January 2021 their six-man crew removed an 85-foot true fir and an 80-foot birch (if you've got a birch, the bronze birch borer beetles have likely killed it) from our lakefront yard, plus some smaller dead alders and willows that were completely overtaken by ivy. Their estimate called for three days, and they completed the job in two! In steady, soaking rain, they worked efficiently, cooperatively and obviously safely -- plus there's just a lot of brute strength required. You can tell this crew is in sync. Access to our yard is difficult: they had to go up and down a narrow, steep pathway along the side of the house. They set up their wood-chipper in our driveway. Clinton the Climber was fascinating to watch, and fun to talk to. We also want to add that because we live on a lake, we had to jump through a lot of extra Snohomish County-required permitting hoops (it's a LOT of red tape!), and Champion was very helpful in guiding us through that process. The best tree-care companies have months-long waiting lists. We're glad we waited for Champion. There were no surprises in terms of cost or scope of work, and their clean-up was impressive. This specialty service was well worth the cost, and has made a tremendous difference in the look and feel of our yard and home. read more

We had Champion Tree Care come out to do a fairly large job over the course of a few days. We just purchased a new home a few months ago, and the trees on the property had been neglected for a long while. Champion came out to do an estimate, and they were right on time and provided a clear, detailed estimate outlining exactly what they would do. We had a few other tree care companies come out to provide estimates, but Champion's was the most thorough and the lowest priced. In the end, we had Champion remove a couple dozen gnarly fir rees and fix up our neglected cedars. After the trees were removed in our backyard, Champion chopped the trees up into rounds and ground stumps/roots, leaving us with a fresh start in our backyard. They also did precise work with our cedars, which look fantastic now that they've been thinned and the canopy was lifted. I can actually get under them to do yard work now -- amazing! We highly recommend Champion and will absolutely call them again the next time we need this type of work done. read more

We just had Champion Tree Care come as promised today to trim an alder and maple that were overhanging our home's roof and property. From the on-site estimate (very reasonable!) to the work done today, everything went exactly as described, and the team of Dan & Daniel did an excellent job trimming back the branches and hauling them away. Dan is a highly skilled tree climber and arborist (as their company bio says) and knows his craft well (33 years!), and his apprentice/cleanup man Daniel did a superb job, too. I had a couple of bids to cut down a 40ft birch tree in my yard. One of the other fairly high rated guys came up and gave me what I thought was a super high bid. I checked with a friend who's neighbor had used Champion to take 5 huge evergreen trees - they paid almost as much as the bid I had for one tree, so I called Dan. Dan's bid was very reasonable and about $800 cheaper than the other company. Dan's crew did a great job, took the tree down quickly and when I got back home, everything was cleaned up. We used this company to deliver wood chips for a project at a church. We were very specific in the request that we made for clean wood chips to go into the playground area for preschoolers. This company delivered an enormous pile of junk including branches and other debris that was unusable. It took two people nearly 5 hours to dispose of the wood chips around the grounds of the church. After multiple attempts to contact this company to request the proper chips the result was no response. Definitely not reputable or reliable. I would not work with this company again. read more

We are thrillllled with the service Champion Tree Care provided! Amazing. From estimate to clean-up Dan and his crew were courteous, professional, friendly, prompt and fast. We had a 100+ft tree that was leaning and uprooting. Scary! The tree was 5" away from the deck railing. Champion's precision work was impressive but especially considering the space they had to work in had a house, deck, shed, trampoline, and chicken coop! They left manageable rounds and did a thorough cleanup, in fact, I'm pretty sure took some debris left by our last windstorm! We'd highly recommend to neighbors, friends and the community. We needed pruning done on a mature cherry tree, as well as removing about 30 tent caterpillars from the tips of the branches of a very large pin oak. In addition, I needed assistance with caring for newly planted ornamental trees. Both Dan and Justina showed up on time in each case, were very professional, and were very patient in answering my many questions. It is apparent that they both have a love for trees and want to do the best for the tree's long-term health. We have used various tree services over the years, but Champion Tree Care has easily been the best so far. I trust their knowledge and in comparison to other services, their pricing is very reasonable. I don't generally write reviews, but once in awhile you deal with a business where the people are professional, genuinely love what they do, take their time, and aren't in it to make a quick buck.
