We quickly popped in for a drink as we were waiting for my Lyft ride and ended up spending about 90 mins here as we stumbled upon trivia and a happy hour. The trivia was super fun and everyone in there was having a great time and interacting. We were seated at the bar. Got a few finger foods and a few drinks. The staff was super accommodating and gracious. They were super busy but took time to greet us and check in on us and not just shove menus in our face. Could be a bit brighter but it's not too bad. There are bar seating in the center, some stairs to get to a VIP area / corridor that connects to a hotel and the bathrooms and a few booths. A full bar would be maybe 100 people. But even with the 50 or so that was there, the energy was high. TVs are all already the bar and back wall. The bar is located at a corner and there's some trees outside so it might be hard to notice it but if the door opens and you hear the noise, you'll be lured in.

I have to say we had low expectations when we tried the hotel bar for happy hour. We were staying at the hotel and had $25 credit on our hotel account for food and drinks. Once we tried the bar, we were so glad we did. We went there every night of our stay and the service was terrific. The manage was particularly friendly and even greeted us personally at breakfast several morning. We tried a variety of happy hour offering over the several night of our stay and found them very tasty. The bar itself we busy and had fun. Plenty of TVs add to the sports bar ambiance. We look forward to another visit on our next stay in Austin.

Stopped by Champions for happy hour and it was a great experience. The bartender Hailey crushed it - she was all by herself with a full bar and was very attentive to everyone. I grabbed a Modelo then asked if there was a way to make the "Honey & Ginger" mocktail but add some gin and she was able to accommodate that. Highly recommend it btw!!! Very light and refreshing!

Went after a morning UT game to have a couple of drinks prior to dinner. Pretty good atmosphere and the place was initially packed then slowed as the morning game traffic folks left. To me the key to a sports bar is flowing food, drinks and service. We had fish tacos, cesar salad and guac and chips. The food was fine, but the flowing part was not there. The service was painfully slow even when it emptied out. We ended up getting the bill from the quality checker who we asked for after our server went MIA. Tip of the day: the seating is a little confusing. If you enter by the hotel side you need to go to end by the bar to make sure you get seated or added to the list. This has the elements of a real good sports bar, the service needs to keep the drinks and food flowing.

This was the perfect bar to watch the Super Bowl. We had a great spot right in front of a tv. While service was incredibly slow our waitress was good and nicely apologized for the slowness in getting our food. There was a runner that came to our table and was a bit rude. He came with the food, announced what it was and obnoxiously said, "Is this your food?" Excuse me?? I've never been to a restaurant where I had to say yes that's my order or tell the server what I ordered. He could use a hospitality refresher. The food is what you'd expect at a sports bar. Not gonna blow your socks off but there's something on the menu you can eat. As you can see from the pics we ordered and are a lot. The corn with the fish tacos was sampled by everyone and left there. Not good. We were a little surprised that the wings weren't pre-sauced but came with sauce to dip the chicken in. The drinks didn't miss the mark...they were good. If you need a good spot to watch your favorite sporting event, this place has good tv views all around so worth visiting while getting a good drink.

There's this huge building that looks like an unassuming co-working space, but it turns out that there is a whole fun world behind it! They have a great setup: there's a little playground, a paddle board court, corn hole, etc to keep kids entertained and they had a huge screen set up to watch the game. And tents! Thank you for having tents and misters! The ambience is spot-on. Overall, we were happy with everything that we ordered to eat. The buffalo cauliflower bites were a bit too saucy, but nice and smoky. The CM Chopped Salad--which was NOT chopped--had a ton of good veggies and a fun dressing. Our daughter managed to finagle two orders of chicken fingers and those were slightly better than the normal junk that comes out. Cold beers on tap, Aperol Spritzes on a hot day--what is there to complain about? We were glad to be leaving when we did because the place was starting to get slammed and rowdy and not as appealing, so be mindful of the partying witching hour. But for a late afternoon World Cup meet-up with friends, this was a good time. Four stars.

For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.
