Now you only offer a small playscape? That thing gets packed and my kids are always having to deal with the other kids' poor behavior (which most of the time ends up in someone getting hurt). Gold's gym had more to offer for less money. Unless you HAVE to have some form of childcare or you have your kids in sports here... just go somewhere else. I wish this wasn't the truth. I was beyond excited when it was being built I was literally waiting for it to open to get a membership. I will say one thing... as a majority the staff is always positive and puts a smile on your face.

The current owner Mikaela is super personable and friendly and ALL the coaches go above and beyond. For example, during class they make sure to say your name and a compliment to keep you going, they make sure you feel comfortable and push you, and also have a warm welcoming energy! All the other orange theories I've been to coaches don't say your name, low energy and could care less if you push yourself and aren't motivating (I've been to about 6 different locations just to see if they're all as nice as lakeway or if lakeway is just doing it right) I highly recommend doing the unlimited plan so you can really enjoy it all! When I signed up, there was a promotion going on and the referring member never received what was promised. I forgave that, but it's not how you should do business. Incident number 2 -- I was sent out of the country and needed to pause my member, which is a great feature of OTF. However, I called the Lakeway studio no less than 3 times, leaving messages. None were ever returned. #FRUSTRATING and a loss of money for me. Incident number 3 - I moved from Austin area. Called twice. Of course, for a second time, my initial message was not returned. When I did reach someone (I think her name was Courtney) she was HORRID. I very nicely explained the situation and that I needed to cancel my membership do to moving. She said that she couldn't do that on the phone and that I had to come into the studio. I stated that I couldn't do that as I was no longer in Austin. She said I was being 'hostile.' WTF. I most certainly was not being hostile in any manner. She did go on to process my request while I was on the phone -- sending me a DocuSign. Something she just said she couldn't do. She was not polite nor was she professional during the entire process. Incident number 4 - raised prices even though I was locked into an evergreen price. #NotCool. Overall, I love OTF. Great coaches. Great programs. Great system. I love going to all the OTFs across the country, but NOT the one in Lakeway. #Unprofessional #Rude #Unkind are the nicer words of how I would describe Lakeway. Great location. Nice members. I felt frustrated and like I wasn't capable, or ever would be, of certain things. In 2026 I have reached so many goals because of the coaching- specifically in the Golds Fit class. Adan & Mike are exceptional coaches. They are personable, knowledgeable, super fun & funny & able to handle high class volume, encourage and cue in such a positive way. In the past 8 months I have been able to significantly improve on things that I had worked on for YEARS at the other gym just by their coaching. The community in the classes is stellar too- no high school clique stuff. Everyone is there to work and we DO! We have people of all ages and abilities in class~ even a lady who had a foot surgery and on a scooter was still getting at it. They come up with appropriate modifications for any and everyone.... Beginners, intermediate, advanced- the adventure is endless. My physique is the best it's ever been and I give much due to the Golds fit class for that. Honestly, these guys are probably under paid~ they're that great! Definitely check it out if you haven't!
