But if you are in the Ticonderoga area and you need to buy enough gas to get you to Vermont to save $.30 a gallon. Then stop at Maplefields, yeah the prices are the same as every other gas station in town but the restrooms are clean, they have spacious seating, free Wi-Fi and an in store Amato's for food. You also have access at a small fee these days to showers if you are on a long haul trucking assignment. As gas stations go this is a very very nice one.

Normally during the winter season. I walked in through their back door in which the window was steeled bar LOL. The girls we're friendly from the get-go! Either they worked for the family or just seasonal people working through the winter. Very hospitable and friendly upon first interaction. Organized with their products just like a local corner gas station should, though its in the middle of nowhere on Route 22! The restroom was clean and pleasant with a bit of rural northeastern decor. They also have a little sandwich shop which are made by order with local Vermot cheeses if you like. Now they do have only i gas pump which is fine for rural town. The lighting around the around could need some work at there is only one light below the huge Gulf sign shining above. On top of all that, parking is adequate and there are tables if you wish to sit inside. Didn't use the lavatory so I can't speak to its cleanliness, but they have em! This store still makes milkshakes and sundaes too! Boo had a cookies and cream shake and now she can call herself a true Stewart's customer. They're miles better than the "shakes" from fast food purveyors that can't even legally be called "milkshakes" due to poor ingredient quality. Stewart's are a great convenience for the towns they serve, which can be pretty rural with few other choices as you get away from their main service area of Albany/Schenectady/Saratoga/Troy. This is worth a visit if you're nearby and don't want McDonald's or Subway for fast food, you want some cold beer, ice cream, cigarettes, lotto, or all of the above!
