Then stop at Maplefields, yeah the prices are the same as every other gas station in town but the restrooms are clean, they have spacious seating, free Wi-Fi and an in store Amato's for food. You also have access at a small fee these days to showers if you are on a long haul trucking assignment. As gas stations go this is a very very nice one.

It has a healthy (lol) selection of frozen food…read morefrom pizza to ice cream (including real non-shrinkflated true half gallons) to sandwiches to hot stuff like hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and store-made pizza. On top of all that, parking is adequate and there are tables if you wish to sit inside. Didn't use the lavatory so I can't speak to its cleanliness, but they have em! This store still makes milkshakes and sundaes too! Boo had a cookies and cream shake and now she can call herself a true Stewart's customer. They're miles better than the "shakes" from fast food purveyors that can't even legally be called "milkshakes" due to poor ingredient quality. Stewart's are a great convenience for the towns they serve, which can be pretty rural with few other choices as you get away from their main service area of Albany/Schenectady/Saratoga/Troy. This is worth a visit if you're nearby and don't want McDonald's or Subway for fast food, you want some cold beer, ice cream, cigarettes, lotto, or all of the above!

As the shop posts a "no pet" sign outside, my wife went in first out of courtesy and spoke to a member of staff. We entered and were more than surprised when the owner of the shop came flying at us. Shouting, finger wagging in my face that my (now sitting) dog wasn't wearing a vest and therefore wasn't a service dog. She was wearing her life jacket from the boat and her leash says "Service Dog" four times all the way up. He refused to listen that a vest does not make a service dog, screamed that if the dog causes trouble it will be our fault, stuck his face right on mine, then fled behind his counter. If you have a service dog, or even want good plain manners I'd suggest giving this place a miss. We did
