We are generally so used to expecting the robotic layout of a regular multi-store business, that this store seems disorganized when you come here. I mean this in a nice way! Stay there for a few minutes and then you can see the method in the "madness". Everything was easy to find and we were able to get help when we needed it. The selection is quite good for all categories and we were able to get swim gear for our kids. We also got swim goggles too :) The prices here are not Amazon prices, and they do not match Amazon price too. But, we were able to try the gear on before buying and also did get advice on what the right gear is for our needs. Having said that, just like any small mom and pop business goes, trying to speak with them over the phone took a few phone calls but we were eventually able to speak with someone at the end. My wife and I had been intrigued by the idea of getting ourselves e-bikes. We had done some…read more'research', for many months, but quite frankly we had become overwhelmed by the number of manufacturers, features, specifications, etc. etc., and as a result, were unable to make a decision. Long story short my wife ran into Good Vibes Bikes in Rockville (https://www.goodvibesbikes.com/) so we decided to take a look. What a difference! We had the good fortune to be greeted by the manager JAIME MUNOZ whose knowledge of the business was truly impressive! We aren't young and described our needs and use cases, and even though the shop had a bewildering array (100+) different bikes, he immediately directed us to 3 different options which he believed suited our needs. He helped us 'test drive' all three, in their safe parking lot, and we were able to make a quick decision. It was a breath of fresh air! He helped us understand the features and operation of the bike, and patiently answered ALL our questions quickly and direcly... Our bikes will arrive in a few days and we have complete confidence in our decision. If you do take the time to visit their website there is a page (https://www.goodvibesbikes.com/why-buy-from-us) that describes the reasons why buying from them is a sound decision. At first, it seemed like a bit of self-promotion, but after visiting and making the purchase, it all makes sense. These bikes are complex beasts. The idea of two 100lb flat-packed cardboard boxes showing up at our house from some gigantic on-line seller, and spending, likely many hours, assembling them, was more than a little daunting. We consider ourselves reasonably technically and mechanically competent, but having them assembled and tested by professionals before taking them on the road definitely provides a lot of peace of mind... Just the safety considerations alone are worth the price of admission... The additional benefit is they also provide a lot of other services for maintaining and servicing the bikes, which is also a BIG DEAL. I cannot imagine the stress, endless frustrating telephone conversations, and the hassle of trying to fix, or worst case, disassemble and return one of these things to some faceless organization! Bottom line is our bikes will arrive in a few days, and we are very relaxed about our decision. They will assemble and test our bikes and JAIME will give us a call when they are ready for pickup. They will load them onto our bike rack, ready for the nearest trail!! Very impressed with JAIME MUNOZ, and the business model in general. I highly recommend them. If you are in the market for an e-bike, walk in and ask for JAIME, it will make your life a lot easier.

Wheaton Mall is your classic, no-frills local mall--and honestly, it does exactly what it needs to…read moredo. They've got all the staples: JCPenneys, Costco, Macy's, Target, H&M, plus smaller stores like Five Below and Bed, Bath and Beyond. The food court is huge and continues to grow, with some older spots being replaced by newer options. I was first introduced to this mall in a pretty unconventional way--at a dance event hosted by Urban Dance Artistry. The space was large enough to host a big crowd and still allow for smaller performance pockets, which showed me how versatile the mall space actually is. As far as cleanliness goes, the mall itself is generally clean and bustling with a very diverse crowd, which I love to see. The only downside? The bathrooms could definitely use some attention. They can be messy and not the freshest-smelling at times. Although I do really like that they have a separate area for kids to wash their hands. I'm not much of a mall shopper these days, and a lot of the stores aren't necessarily places I'd go out of my way for. But as a parent? This place is gold. My son absolutely loves the play area. There's also a paid bounce house spot near it (which he thoroughly enjoyed), and they have the indoor train that rides through the mall--which is basically a core childhood memory waiting to happen. It's also a great spot for teens to meet up at. I love that they have a little photo booth to print out 4 pictures on a strip, very nostalgic vibes. It's also super convenient. The Wheaton train station is right there, but it's also a hub for a lot of buses, making public transit access incredibly easy. On top of that, you've got nearby restaurants, Party City, a grocery store, and plenty of other essentials within walking distance. There's even a CVS Pharmacy nearby. Overall, it's a solid, practical, family-friendly mall. Not luxury, not glamorous--but convenient, affordable, and full of things to do--especially if you have kids. Four stars from me.
