Quickly yelped a place to eat that was nearby and Chamuyo popped up. My husband and I stopped in, we did not need a reservation - this was a Saturday evening over Memorial Day weekend. We were greeted immediately and offered indoor or outdoor seating. We opted to eat outdoors. A tiny regret as smoking is allowed and people were smoking. But they soon left so not too much of a bother. We started by ordering drinks - they have a full bar. My husband ordered a double tequila & I ordered a Paloma. Not too strong or too weak, just perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the Chamuyo Shrimp U10, and I ordered the Rib Eye Center Cut Steak- medium well. Both came with a side of the criolla salad. The food, ambiance, and service was great. There was also about 30 minutes of live music by a duo performing son jarocho. Not sure if that's the proper phrasing but it was a nice treat. I'm not sure if they are regular performers or they just happened to be there that day. Overall a great dining experience to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. read more

This is a must restaurant every time we visit El Valle with the family. The meat quality is excellent and their customer service is always on point. All I can say is WOW!!!! From beginning to end our meal was amazing!!! We started with a tasting of empanadas which were delicious! Then came fresh salads made with local ingredients and their bread is so soft and amazingly good! Next came the main meal which was the Tomahawk steak (huge!!!!!) and beef ribs which were melt in your mouth tender! Finally we finished the dinner with a decadent flan that is out of this world and a delicious apple tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! It was a dream from beginning to end! By far one of the most amazing places. We came for dinner for my birthday and shared the Parrilla for 2. Prime Rib, flank and Argentinan sausage, green salad, a bottle of wine and mashed potatoes. What a wonderful spot we happened upon. Our third day in the Valle was supposed to culminate with a birthday dinner at Fauna. However after a power outage throughout the Valle earlier in the day our plans were changed when it was no longer going to be open. I had aw Chamuyo earlier in the day when we drove by it on our way to Adobe Guadalupe. In fact we almost stopped on our way back from their for lunch because the food truck was unexpectedly closed for lunch. When we were told that we weren't going to be able to proceed with Plan A I decided to give Chamuyo a call to see if they were open. Fate would have it that they were happy to have us. We were off to see if the limited fantastic reviews were leading us in the right direction. Let me just say the bar had been set high as over the previous 2 days we had the pleasure of dining at some of the Valle's best culinary establishments, La Esperanza Baja Med, La Cocina de Doña Esthela, Deckman's and Animalon. Gonzalo and his wife the lovely owners knocked it out of the park!! Not only did the meal hold its own against all the fantastic establishments previously mentioned their personal attention made a special day about as good as an experience as it could have been. He brought us a birthday dessert with what looked like a Roman Candle shooting out it, changed the music to play Happy Birthday over the stereo and threw in a shot of Don Julio 70! He continued to offer us extras and wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and didn't need anything else. To add this level of personal service made the fabulous food taste even more of a treat. The tomahawk steak and filet were perfect. The grilled vegetables were so full of flavor. Don't miss the mashed potatoes, they were so good we ordered a second serving. The Provelta cheese appetizer will make you want to walk through the desert in the middle of summer to get to taste it again. Do yourself a favor and figure out how to get to Chamuyo as fast as you can!! read more

This place is so good that I've considered driving down from LA just to eat here. Everything we had was so delicious: steak, chorizo, mashed potatoes. Even the humble choripan was incredible. The service was very good but gave us time to relax and eat our dinner. The wine that came with the parrillada for two was the perfect compliment. Yelp listed it as closing at 9:30, at 9:35 We drive up and they welcomed us (they actually close at 10 pm). Manuela was our food server and she was professional, polite and "on it". The food was delicious, not being an Argentine expert I thought it seemed very authentic. The empanadas were too good and I ate too many. EVERYTHING was delicious.
