Casa Magoni is one of our favorite the Valle. So when we decided to spend to weekend of 5/17 to celebrate my Birthday we came here. Made reservations for 2 under the famous big tree it was a perfect spot. Our servers Francine & Oscar were so attentive, service was top notch. The music was perfect. The band was amazing as always. My Hubby requested Sabor a mi and we danced to the song. Weather was perfect. It was a little cool but comfortable. They have expanded since last time we came. They now offer some panini's and salads and other refreshing non alcoholic drinks. But don't forget the highlight the wine. Ambiance is so refreshing, relaxing, calm. Perfect for Casual or a romantic outing.

After being here twice I have to say it's all about the ambiance. The wine is ok, could be better, but the service is pretty good. Truly what makes this place special is sitting under that 250 year old tree. I got their Tempranillo that I still haven't opened yet. I probably should and report back. This is a more commercialized experience so be prepared to wait to sit, and get served.

The tables are beautifully spread out under a gigantic tree. They have some wine tasting menus, but ordering by the glass will be cheaper. I highly recommend the charcuterie plates.

This is my second time visiting Magoni and it was just as good as the first time. We were there this time with the fantastic your company, Baja Wine & Dine. There was live music outside under the big 200 year old coastal live oak tree. It was lit up with lights and there were many comfortable tables and chairs all around. We tried three of their red wines and the majority of our group liked their cheaper Nebiolo blend more than their more expensive Nebiolo reserve. Haha!

    charcuterie board! delicious!

A beautiful winery with great service and tasty wine! I went with a group of 11 girls for my friend's birthday and they were super accommodating of our group. We initially sat under their beautiful tree when we first arrived but the bugs there were flying all over us so we moved under the patio, which wasn't as cute but still a vibe. We later moved under the tree to take photos but I would recommend bringing bug spray. The service was extremely nice, the bathrooms were clean, and everyone was a fan of the wine and charcuterie boards.

Went early on a Saturday, which was a good choice. It wasn't busy yet, so we got one of the coveted tables under the giant tree. The tables in the sun were quite hot, so the shade from the tree was great. We had a very nice server, and while he wasn't confident in his own English abilities, we thought his English was great. So that was helpful for us, as he really shared a lot of good information about the wines and the history. We did the Mixta tasting, as that had the most options. The wines overall were decent. You are not allowed to bring in water, so you did have to purchase water if you wanted it. Their food looked good, but we had just eaten before arriving. It's definitely a beautiful spot, and the service was great. Not to say I wouldn't return, but I think I would try some new spots first. Overall a good experience.

Enchanting place with a beautiful outside space. The trees in the back are PERFECT. They had live music also, which added bliss to the ambiance. Great selection of wine. Great service. Definitely worth a stop!

Went here on a Wednesday afternoon. Sat under this beautiful tree outside (the only area open at that time). I had the red tasting and my gf had the white wine tastings, which was $35 usd total, plus you get to take home your two wine glasses. The tastings were fun, I didn't love all my wines but I did really enjoy the atmosphere and service. Some kids running around under the tree made it noisy at times. Thought the tasting pours were small, the waiter poured a different amount for each wine. Waiter was great and personable though.

Im wine enthusiast , however I have zero knowledge on what I'm drinking , I'm just going to share with you about my experience with the place , because everything taste it good , but I have no clue on what I'm looking for on wines . The wine tasting is mostly outdoor under a beautiful tree , that keeps you cool, we were able to have wine & a charcuterie board, the customer service was good , the staff will explain to you what kind of wine they are giving you & what you can pair it with & let you enjoy and come back to check on you.

Beautiful 500 year old tree that is the center of attention. Relaxing under this canopy with a glass of red is the way to go on a nice summer evening.

Great location right off the main drag. Plenty of parking and you don't need a reservation. The grounds are stunning. Even the walk up you are transformed into a sophisticated winery tasting room experience. Skip the individual, personal tastings, and grab yourself several bottles to taste and share with friends. Whatever you don't finish, you can take with you. This place has the best tasting wine and the most affordable prices in the Valle. I love this place so much that I make it my #1 spot to visit every time I come. Drink your wine under a 200+ year old oak tree while listening to live music. It's a dream to enjoy the great tasting wine and amazing clean grounds. Very romantic. Make it a point to come enjoy wine and take bottles to go.

Beautiful place . I'm a big tree lover . I was obsessed with it from the moment I saw that beautiful tree . I wish I had some reading material on the trees history . I only got a short version of it from our tour guide. The wine was absolutely devine and their cheese boards were delicious. Great music ! If the owner of Casa Magoni reads this please let me know more about the beautiful tree Thank u

The charcuterie board stood out with its excellent variety of artisanal cheeses and meats, all beautifully presented. Some of the cheeses were from the goats on the property, pretty cool--and other fresh ingredients came from the region. The "Torre de Uchepo" (Uchepo Tower) was the best. Uchepo is a soft tamale made from white corn, traditional to Michoacán, and here it is taken to another level. It's served with pork rib and a green tomato and puya pepper sauce, topped with fresh farm cream and Cotija cheese. An absolute must! The wines, all produced from the on-site winery, paired perfectly with both the charcuterie board and the tamale dish. The peaceful views of ducks in a small pond and a nearby pasture with sheep and horses. They have dogs too, which are all so friendly and, in my opinion, added to the experience as a dog lover. It's a serene experience that perfectly complements the quality of the food and wine. And the service, the service is like no other. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Valle de Guadalupe's culinary and wine scene. I look forward to returning for an actual meal, we had dinner reservations, but wanted to stop by. The restaurant is off the beaten path. At the gate, you'll enter and continue driving around the property to the top, where the restaurant sits with gorgeous views. You'll see a small pond and a set of stairs--follow them up to the top. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

This place is located in the Valle de Guadalupe, Baja Mexico. I wasn't always a fan of the wine…read morefrom this area. But over the last two decades they have made large strides in quality with new modernization techniques. Besides all of the wine makers that have been here for generations, others (Spain, France, and Italy) from around the world have joined in wine making in the area. The area has all of the basic ingredients (proper climate and soil) needed to make great wine. The area sits in the same latitude as the great wine making areas of the Mediterranean. As a result, now I am a big fan of the area's wine. Now many compare the area to Tuscany Italia before the big tourist rush occurred. The greater area is also home to many Michelin rated restaurants with a great ocean/farm to table menu (carta). Organic and sustainability are fully represented in restaurants as well. If you love seafood, then this place is heaven because of the abundance of fresh seafood from both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. I predict that once the new airport in Ensenada is built then this place is going to explode with tourism. Currently, having to fly into Tijuana then take a bus or private transport has been the only way to reach this area from most places in the US with the exception of southern California. People in southern California are lucky enough to drive down for a weekend because it's just that close to them. It's the equivalent of people from Chicago spending a weekend in wine country in Michigan, Indiana, or Wisconsin. In all honesty there is no comparison because most wine in the Midwest is mediocre at best. The problem in the Midwest is the climate extremes which are not suitable to most popular wine varietals. Even when I do find wine from the Midwest that I like, it usually has at least $50-$60 price tag. At a typical grocery store in Spain or Portugal very good bottle of wine is sometimes cheaper than a bottle of water! Under $10 a bottle pricing gets you very good wine, above that you can have even better quality. The winery is beautiful even in the winter. I like to visit in the winter because although it's not super warm here, I go from wearing a winter jacket to wearing a light jacket or sweater. The nights can drop into the 40s which is still much better than a winter polar vortex back home. There is a lot less people, therefore, I can also get into the best restaurants in the area. My rental flat had absolutely no neighbors until the last day when it was time to leave. The isolation was very nice because the grounds are beautiful and very full of life. A huge assortment of birds make this their winter getaway from the harsh winters up north. Citrus fruit was in season down here and the neighboring property had an orchard of trees filled with oranges. The property has a few nice pathways to walk after mealtimes. I also enjoyed the outdoor wine tour which explores the different varietals fields with an enthusiastic guide that was quick witted with jokes. The wine pourings that accommodate the tour were delicious and wisely chosen. I also opted to take the wine cave tour right after the outside tour. How was the cave tour? It was disappointing and frustrating. First of all, as I patiently waited to be taken down to the cave from their gift shop area they forgot about me. They have a list of who is supposed to go down and yet they still went down without everyone?!? Finally a cashier notices that I'm just walking around not shopping and asked me if I was waiting for someone. I told him that I was waiting for the cave tour to begin. He got a hold of the tour guide who had already gone down with some of the group and he came up to retrieve us. Those that were already in the cave, already had been served food that was optional to order with the tasting. After several pourings in the previous tour, yes, I was ready to have some food to lessen the impact of more pourings. Also, they had a nice selection of items that would complement the pourings. Somehow, they forgot about me again, and I noticed others were getting a different presentation than I was on the same tour. Okay, now a sense of frustration is overcoming me and I mention the oversights to the guide. He lied to me and told me that the others had a different level of wine tasting. This disorganized tour was also set up backwards because there should have been a walking tour of the fermentation area first then tastings afterwards. Besides the bad cave tour that I definitely don't recommend. Everything else was great with the exception of the cold washroom on cold nights. They have very nice employees, beautiful grounds, very good breakfast, and a great dinner restaurant called Latitude on the property. Would I come back? Yes, because besides a few frustrating moments the rest was great.

They do have a "Michelin rated" restaurant inside the building, curious to see what the service there is. Overall, i would say there are so many other wineries around Valle de Guadalupe that offer better services/food and drinks.
