I called this company for an air conditioning quote and when hey arrived they provided me with a written estimate. Being the unit was working, but not efficiently, as the owner (Shane) was leaving I asked if a maintenance call with freon might help and he said maybe. He then stated they had a coupon for an $89 service that I could use. I let him know I would think about it. A couple days later I called and scheduled a service call for sometime between 7 and 9 a.m. one day during the following week. I was up early the morning of the service so I could be ready to leave for work as soon as they finished. At 7:45 a.m. the owner called and apologized that his sister (who made the appontment for me) forgot he had a Dr.'s appointment and stated he wouldn't be there at all. At that time I left for work - late! As part of the call he said a 5 - 7 p.m. appointment might work better. A day later I called and spoke with his sister about another appointment. They said they could fit me in between 5 and 7 that day. I specifically asked to confirm that the service included a re-charge (adding of freon) and she said she wasn't sure. I told her it was important that it was included and asked her to check with her brother Shane (the owner). A couple hours later she called me back to cancel the appointment because they were too busy. I asked if they could re-schedule it for the next day and she said yes. I then went on to ask if she confirmed the re-charge with Shane and she said yes I was correct a re-charge would be included. I proceeded to leave work early to make it home for the appointment and when the service man arrived I told him it was a maintenance and re-charge service. The service man started the seervice and 30-40 minutes later he was on the phone then he said Shane wanted to speak with me. When I took the phone Shane went on about how the service didn't include a re-charge and that feon was $62 a pound. I told him I had double checked with his siter the day before and she said he had okayed it. I told him that wasn't what we agreed to and that his service man could leave at this time and the phone call ended. He (the owner, Shane) then had the nerve to call me back on my personal cell phone and tell me I was lying about what his sister said. He went so far as to tell me "if I were there in front of you I would call you (me) a liar to your face". What kind of business has the nerve to call a customer back on his personal phone and say such a thing? In the customer service world I work in it's better to just apologize and call it a misunderstanding, that would have been acceptable to me, but no he felt the right thing to do was to call me and insult me. Unbelievable! Never in my life have I ever had such a terrible experince. This business owner is unscrupulous and arrogant to say the least - I'm thankful I didn't spend $4,000 plus for a new unit with them that's for sure. read more
