After the call, they came out within the hour. The technician determined that there was too much refrigerant and pumped a bunch of it out. The technician saved the unit. Then, he thoroughly checked the unit inside and out to make sure it was running correctly. Only, then, did he leave. The technician saved the unit and saved the day. Saw all the great reviews and hired Brad (the owner) to come out to look at a small, old AC system that failed. He got the system up and running quickly and charged a very reasonable price. I was really, really impressed by his knowledge of AC systems, his willingness to come out on short notice, and his honesty, so much so that I asked him to quote a replacement of the whole 20+ year old system. His quote, compared with 3 other companies, was extremely reasonable. Within a couple of weeks Brad and his polite, professional team came out and installed the entire new system in a day. They came out on a day that a hurricane was hitting to help my family after forever without ac! we had been a week or more out of ac, almost insufferable heat in the house! We had purchased a total replacement of system with a 5 year warranty that we can extend to ten year after a closer discussion. they also exposed us to there being mold in a system that we had the company check on pretty regularly without mentioning this. they gave us so much of a personal view and value on our ac. we had called them in for a estimate on monday, they said it would be done thursday, despite the weather, and they had everything with five plus guys to set it up on thursday. i will say they knew we had been out of ac for a few days prior to us calling them on hope of the urgency during the hurricane. they made it all work while look deep into our system and making necessary corrections. AC has changed in my house for the first time in ten years and i hope to see it only get better from here! a great deal for a group of people to prioritize you and your family! read more

We had just moved into our new house less than 2 weeks ago, and one (hot) Friday afternoon our AC went out. Needs work, as a single woman. Brad tried up to uncharge me from a previous maintenance visit so I showed a receipt from before. To top it off, when I went to get a second opinion of whether there even leaks in my unit only two months after his visit, the other company who did a full diagnosis found no leaks so I question his ethics. If you need AC work Brad is the man to call. My unit was not cooling properly but it was 20+ years old and he had kept it running for years but it was time for new. He gave me many options to choose from and he and his crew showed up on a Saturday morning at 8AM installed my new AC which required some work as old unit placement was no longer up to code. Absolutely incredible experience. Our old AC died on a Monday. By Thursday afternoon, Brad and his crew had replaced the entire system, piping and all and had us back up an running. His technicians arrived this morning, went straight to work and tonight i am enjoying a quieter ac system than what I had and most important a cooler house. My boss was staying at his second house in Orlando. And at 5pm at night his a/c went out. I live in Cali, and knew of no one out in Orlando. I went on yelp and clicked on Astoria, and was desperate for anyone to come out. I didn't think anyone would be available that late in the day. Very responsive on short notice. Had a tenant call and let me know thier AC UNIT wasn't working, had 3 companies come out and look at it since they were all saying the unit was blown (18 years old). Astoria was the last company to come out and look at it and by far was the most professional and took the time to explain all options and upfront pricing. We were having AC problems in the summer, and Astoria was quick and responsive to come out on the same day I made an inquiry. Bradford was extremely helpful and found an issue was with the thermostat. He also added some PVC and replaced some tubing for a better flow and output with the drain pipe. We live in CT but my daughter's AC is in Orlando Fla. I found Astoria/ Brad by checking on YELP for positive reviews. Brad make an appointment to come out to look at unit very quickly, patched it up and came back out and made final fixes ( mostly under warranty ! ), and it's now working fine. We had been working with another service provider sent by our warranty company, and after multiple visits our AC still went out nightly. Finally, I called Brad at 6 am (!!!) and he was at my house by 7 am. He admittedly had a full day and not enough time to do his full diagnostics, but did do some temporary fixes he thought might work. We got cool air for the day but by night it wasn't working. I texted him at 8 pm, and he responded and made an appt to arrive at 8 am. He was prompt again (which is very rare these days), did his full diagnostic, found the REAL problem, and fixed for a fraction of the cost the previous tech was trying to get out of the warranty company.
