I came to Chandler Chiro back in November (or around about that time) very hesitantly. To be honest, my boyfriend all but forced me. I've never liked to be popped & never understood why anyone did. The sound & the thought freaked me out. After about 5-6 years of nonstop complaining of lower back issues my boyfriend finally made me the appointment. I have been so thankful ever since!! Dr. Schloemp was so kind & gentle & his staff was just as sweet. I HATE my neck being popped & Dr. Schoemp uses a tool instead (doesn't freak me out as much). I have never had to remind him or say anything. He remembers every time, & something that small is big to me. The staff knows me by name & act like they've known me for years. I've been experiencing some mild lower back pain, so I made an appointment over the phone. I asked how much an adjustment costs and I was not given a straight answer. I was told the initial consultation was only $35, which seemed very fair to me. During the consultation I asked how much adjustments cost, and was given the runaround again. The doctor told me that we would "discuss it" when going over my x-rays at the second appointment. During the second appointment they kept reinforcing the idea that an unaligned spine could result in everything from sinus problems to organ function. It seemed to me like fear-mongering and preying on people who are gullible or paranoid. I once again asked how much it would cost and the assistant said "we will get to that". Finally they got to the pricing "plans". The assistant continued the pricing runaround, and kept the pricing plan covered with another sheet of paper and revealed it line-by-line. I was growing impatient, as I simply wanted to know how much it would cost. Finally I was presented with a "plan" which consisted of 3 adjustments a week for 7 months - for a total well into the 4-figure range. It seemed excessive for my mild (2 out of 10) back pain. On the "plan", adjustments were priced at $95 each. That's all I wanted to know from the beginning. I realize that everyone is different and sessions could be more or less, depending on the complexity of the individual. But to not even give me a ballpark cost at the beginning is unethical. I spoke with the doctor afterwards and told him I felt deceived by this runaround, especially covering the pricing sheet and revealing it line by line. He explained that it helps with the "price shock" that patients may feel. That should reveal just how dishonest their practice is; they resort to psychology and trickery to gain patients. Used car dealerships are more honest and transparent than this place. read more

I was thrown from my motorcycle at 45mph after getting struck by a Jeep Commander. This unknowingly cause subluxations in my spine which caused pain, limited movement, and poor muscle memory. Since I began adjustments, my pain is little to gone, posture has improved, and a my chronic nosebleeds have seemed to have stopped as well. I'm only 4 months in and have a ways to go so I can't imagine the end result. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Now let me just preface that over the years I have been to multiple chiropractors, with this being said Chandler Chiropractic is sketchy. I went for my first visit and they took over an hour to ask me a bunch of questions and talked to me as though I had no idea what was wrong with me. They made it seem that this was a complicated matter and I did not understand what was going on with my body. The tech had me read over a pamphlet and ask me questions based on the information I read like I was in school......I'm here to get help, not a lesson. After this, they took x-rays but without telling me what my insurance covers or not. When I got there for my second visit to look over the x-rays, they took me back and reviewed my x-rays and told me what issues I had. Remind you, I already knew most of this information from seeing previous chiropractors. Once we started to have the conversation about a treatment plan they recommended a plan for 8 months where I would need 60 visits and pay for it all up front or do a payment plan that would cost more but take 18 months to pay off. Does this sound right? I have never had another chiropractor tell me this or try and sell me a pre-paid plan. You're telling me that you can tell me I will need 8 months to get better without even seeing how my body will react? It all felt like a sales pitch. The man that was giving me this information proceeded to tell me that my insurance only covered 5 visits and $5 a visit, but once I checked my insurance more thoroughly it covered 20 visits and only a $25 copay each visit plus x-rays. Makes me question if they even ran my insurance. I will also add that my girlfriend went to this same facility a few days beforehand and heard all the same details I heard, down to a tee from number of visits to price and length of treatment. Let me be clear, on a sales standpoint I feel they are taking advantage of people that come in pain and want immediate relief and are willing to pay all this money up front just for the pain to go away. In all honesty, the staff was friendly but it seemed they all said the same thing which just felt odd. If you do decide to go here, make sure they run your insurance and get the proof. Dr. Shloemp is great at what he is doing, my lower back and neck pain has decreased noticeably after being on his care for the last few months. I'm now able to play tennis much longer with less pain. The staff is courteous and helpful. Their office and equipments are all excellent. Dr. Shloemp aslo is good at listening and addressing all the questions and concerns I raise during visits. I'd say he's the ideal chiropractor you want to care for you. I'm a chiro convert. Over the last few years, as I've looked for more ways to bring holistic and eastern techniques into my preventative wellness regime, chiropractic has become a mainstay. Although I can't document every scientific reason why it works, here's how I would describe it. Your spine contains the super highway of your body. All your nerves travel up and down that super highway, sending signals telling every other part of your body about what it should and shouldn't be doing. Everything from the stress of general living, to an unexpected accident, can throw that system out of whack. And when it's out of whack, everything suffers. Keeping my super highway running smoothly is the reason I'm a chiro convert. I came to Chandler Chiropractic with a whole lot of out of whackness due to a whole heck of a lot of stress. I run a fast paced business with lots of clients, have a 14-month old and am constantly on the go. I was having a bunch of systematic symptoms. Headaches, light but persistent dizziness, crunchy joints and a feeling of all around fogginess. The stuff I'd generally just attribute to life stress, but that also gets in the way of feeling generally awesome...which is certainly my preferred state! I'd been to quite a few chiropractors before and I'll be honest...one of the things that I like about them is that you can get in and out quickly. (I love acupuncture too, but who has time to take an hour out of their schedule every week). But this same efficiency can leave you feeling like a number. But not at Chandler. Dr. Mike is as caring as they come. Every single time I see him, I feel like his focus is completely on me. He asks the right questions, listens to anything that I have to tell him, and then customizes my care. And when it comes to the adjustment itself, he's incredibly gentle. No jerking or uncomfortable movement ever. It's as relaxing as it is therapeutic. He's also treated my husband and son, and I know they feel exactly the same. And beyond the great treatment, there's something I really like about Chandler being a family operation. Dr. Mike's wife Martha has always been fantastic with my family, and she treated my son as if he was her own! She's always there to greet us, answer any questions and help us try out some of the cool stretching and therapeutic equipment they have. It's nice that there are still a few family run businesses out there, and that's always something I'm willing to support. So, like I said, chiro has become a big part of my wellness regime, and it really has done wonders for reducing all the negative things that stress does in my body. I'm not a big review writer, but I believe in the care so much that in doing this, my hope is that somebody else will try it out and experience the same things I have. I started with Chandler Chiropractic when Dr. Joshua Bock was the chiropractor. After he sold it to Dr. Mike, I continued going for quite awhile. I always got great service and they helped me resolve many health issues, including getting my period to be less painful and more regular. After I stopped having health insurance, I continued to go, but I had to buy packages to afford the adjustments. But, even after that, it wasn't affordable for us anymore and we had moved a lot further away, so even less convenient. If you live near here, they give excellent service and care. The staff here is incredibly friendly! They remember your name and greet you upon arrival. They do play Christian music in the lobby, so be prepared for that. It was easy and relatively quick to get an appointment considering it was right in the middle of the holidays. The doctor was clear and upfront about the treatment plan. I scheduled appointment and was assured they take my insurance! Show up that afternoon with a severly sore shoulder, neck!! They take me to back room where I'm rushed through paperwork....sign here, sign here... I made very clear I was in alot of pain due to neck problem- the lady than spends an hour asking me the most ridiculous questions-- do I have bowel issues? Are my periods normal? Even had me close eyes and walk around room!! Finally see chiropractor and it's another set of questions-- do I have acid reflux, any child bearing issues?! 1.5 hrs later it's time for x-rays, that's when they want to collect office visit and xray charges?! I say I have insurance, you take it, and it's good! Their response-- we will check that later right now we need to collect! No thanks- and I walk out! Made appointment with another place next morning- paperwork done, insurance confirmed, met with chiropractor, x-rays taken and discussed treatment plan, then my first treatment all in less than 1 hour!! This place is homeopathic which I guess means you go in for neck pain they want to find 200 other things wrong My new place was shocked they tried to collect anything from me as my insurance covers 100% for x-rays and 20 visits!!! They take the time to sit with you on first visit to see what kind of road map you need to be in. They explain what is going on with your body at each visit. There is a area to do exercises before you adjust so it makes it better. The whole staff is very friendly and help with any questions. You feel at home and you know everyone. The one thing that you need to get used to is the time of your appointment. You usually don't get to see them at your time so plan on being there for about an hour. This was the best chiropractic experience I have ever had. The team is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. They provided me with a free consolation and free X-rays since my wife was already a patient. They put the X-rays up on a tv display and showed me exactly where each one of my problems is throughout my spine. I have been going to Chandler Chiropractic for 10 months now. They are outstanding! I have been to several chiropractors in AZ since my car accident in 2016. However, my needs weren't being met. I decided to try Chandler Chiropractic. They genuinely care about your health. My first appointment, they accessed all of my problems and went into detail about the effects it may have throughout my entire body. I have never had a chiropractor go into such detail. I see in a couple reviews that people didn't like this. I guess it depends on the person. I personally felt like they were thorough and I knew I was in great hands. There isn't a simple fix when it comes to back pain. So we did a ten month plan which was the most reasonably priced plan I have seen. This week was my last appointment and my back has drastically improved. It shows in the X rays. The reason why the chiropractors give you plans isn't because they are trying to "sell you and take your money." It is because that is how they correct your spine. Consistency is key. There is no quick fix. Anyways, I used to have sciatica down my left leg. My foot was always numb. My left arm would occasionally go numb and was constantly tingly. My back and neck hurt so bad each and every day since my accident. I was always drained of energy and had to take naps everyday. I had headaches. I had no hope because I've been to several Chiropractors in AZ and I didn't have great results. I couldn't walk more than ten minutes without severe pain at only 23 years old. I would NOT use either of them..... and if you do ONLY use them if you have NOT been injured in a car accident. They received $4000+ and the lawyer receieved $3500 and we walked away with less than $2500. Weren't trying to get rich but I feel for all the pain suffered, missed work, hard nights sleeping-this is NOT ok! They also offer you incentives to fill out a review during your care so they keep their reviews in good standing on Yelp. I know there is a lot of negativity about chiropractic care, I was one of those people who had that negative opinion and never actually experienced what chiropractic care can do to better my body. I originally sought help do to me noticing how crooked my body was after loosing 10lbs, I figured I better get this fixed and have some one straighten me out (haha). During my exam I mentioned my constant migraines, not knowing they could actually help me. Fast forward 3 months or so into my treatment and I feel amazing, better than I have in years! So disappointed with my experience at Chandler Chiropractic. First visit I came in with pain in my neck and shoulder. The nurse had me read a pamphlet on subluxation to prepare me for the doctor to come in and quiz me on what I learned like I was in school. Not a child, I don't need to be quizzed, I know how to read and internalize, not to mention they spent 5-10 mins going over it in detail, what it means, how it works, causes and effects,etc. Then they took x-rays and told me when I come back to review them to bring my husband so they could go over my results and options with us both. My husband doesn't need to come review my x-ray with me. They were just trying to get him in there to sell him on chiropractic care. They took my insurance info the first visit but didn't review it with me. I should have asked but didn't and paid 100% out of pocket. If they would have just cut out all the gimmicks they could have had time to adjust me instead of leaving a patient in pain to come back whenever they have an open appointment next. Luckily they had an opening for the next day and of course I took it because I was obviously still in pain. I came back in for the 2nd appointment and they reviewed x-rays with me and presented what they recommend as a treatment option...an 8 month treatment plan with physical therapy! 3 days a week for 10 weeks and then 2 days a week for several weeks eventually tapering down to one day a week. Also including at home devices I would need to do exercises as well. Not to mention I had to ask what my insurance was able to cover for them to tell me it would cover nothing. If I signed up for their plan they would give me a discount but if I decided to opt for an appointment by appointment approach each visit would be $95. I have only had chiropractic care once but new this seemed outrageous. I decided to turn down their services and look elsewhere. Sure enough I found another chiropractor who just moved to the area who has been in the business for years and was only charging $50 out of pocket for all the same care without gimmicky sales pitch and the unnecessary over the top treatment plan. Don't go to Chandler Chiropractic unless you want to be given a long sales pitch and pay over the top prices for care. read more

We started bringing my daughter here at 4 weeks old out a desperation, she had severe gas & reflux issues and never slept as she always seemed too uncomfortable to sleep and wiggled constantly. We had tried everything imaginable & as a last ditch effort brought her to Chandler Chiropractic. They were able to confirm that she had spinal subluxations due to the vacuum that was used on her during delivery and that the worst subluxations were by her lower digestive tract & her esophagus, causing her issues. After just a few sessions, our baby was able to eat without throwing up, was able to get her gas out on her own & was sleeping through the night! They set us up with a plan and since we started going it's like we have a whole new baby! I made the mistake once of missing an appointment & that whole week my baby cried, didn't smile, didn't sleep, and threw up constantly. I called them desperate to bring her in & they allowed me to bring her immediately! She was back to her normal self after that. They have always been so gentle & loving with my baby & even take us into a private room due to her age. One of my favorite things is that they also always make a point to ask me how I'm doing as a mama & even ask about our weekend plans! Feels like buying a used car. I went to the clinic looking for pain relief. They took X-rays and did an initial assessment for free. At my second appointment they reviewed the results. The assistant would not tell me what my treatment plan would be until I would tell her I was 100% committed. She pulled a piece of paper from my file but would only show me the top third. 50 visits over the next few months for what the doctor said was a "mild" curvature. Only after agreeing that I would be able to go 3-4 times a week did we review cost. I was told I needed to pay approx $100 per visit and that I needed to pay up front. I said no. Then they offered to allow me to pay in 2 payments. Half due now. I said no. Then they offered to allow a 3 payment plan. I said no. She left to get the doctor but she returned said she talked to her office manager and they would allow me to finance through them for $350 a month or something. I told her the issue wasn't necessarily money but concern for the process. She told me I needed to act within 24 hours to "lock in the current rates" I was out of breath for hours I ran so fast and far from this place. read more
